Apt in 200yr+ gently haunted home

Is in a 200+ yr old home. A real queen bed has replaced the airbed and a hand held shower has been added to the soaker tub. Has washer and dryer, dining area LR w/ pull out couch, a single super comfortable bed in the 2nd bedroom. A/C a full kitchen and bath. New F&S microwave. As is expected in a 200+ year home it has a couple of slants in the floors, but not bad for the age. It is a safe family neighbourhood The black bedroom much to my son's dismay has been painted out white and renovated!

Located at Breton Cove, a tiny picturesque fishing village on the east central side of the Cabot Trail. Situated just off the Trail, nestled in the woods where you will likely smell and hear the ocean and in season, the lobster boats harvesting the day's catch. From base camp, attractions on the trail and elsewhere are easily accessed resulting in saving time and money as daily concerns with check-in and out times are eliminated. Languages spoken here:English,Swiss, German and Cape Bretonesse.

Returning from Alberta to our Maritime roots, we built a rustic home we like to share. On our hilltop, we offer a great water view and grazing horses plus a full breakfast! We are a few km. off Hwy 104 (Exit #38) about half way from Halifax to Sydney, (2 hr from Hfx Airport) just west of the Canso Causeway. A 2 hr drives takes you to the Nfld ferry. We have 2 suites - each with a private entry (flat access) so guests can come and go at their leisure -go for a walk or visit Cape Jack Beach.

It is Very quiet here. There is an organic garden, and a lovely brook to enjoy. Lake Ainslie and the Bras D'Or Lake are just minutes away. Inverness Beach is a half an hour. A wheel chair ramp, 36 inch doors on the back entrance, and the En Suite bathroom has a roll-in shower, though the private entrance has 4 steps. The many large trees invite a walk or just sit and enjoy their beauty. I share the house with a dog and two cats, but like me, they spend much of their time outdoors.

The Trailhead Guest Cottage

Our peaceful oceanfront guest cottage is situated at the head of the 9.5 km Pollett's Cove hiking trail. We recommend a two night stay - first night, settle in with a beverage, evening sunset and star gazing. Wake to coffee and farm fresh breakfast delivered to your door step (except in August when we are on vacation), before hitting the trail to Pollett's Cove, the Skyline or any of the 30 other nearby national park trails. Have a swim, and return to a hot outdoor shower. Repeat!

From Away Farm - Twin Beds & Breakfast

We're home and have rooms in our century farmhouse located on 100 acres of field, forest, garden and, although you can't see it, you can hear and smell the Atlantic ocean less than 1000m away. The house isn't exactly magazine-worthy but it's cozy and comfortable. Don't be afraid to use the shower even if it does have gold and blue patterned tile board!
