Located just 2 miles to the start of the historic Katy Trail makes this a great spot. Also, we are only minutes away from Truman Lake which boasts some of the best crappie and spoonbill fishing around. A dedicated shed with lock is provided at the back of the home for bike storage. We enjoyed the unique experience of a wood-fire hot tub, an off-grid experience, and the private location. The kids spent so much time in the pool and we loved all the space for a family of 5 to spread out. Michelle was very upfront about weak wi-fi, changes to any instructions we needed, and she happened to be at the pods when we arrived to show us how to open/close the doors. The home was well stocked with kitchen supplies, (cups, plates, pots/pans, cutting boards) firewood, bath towels, shampoo, body wash, and pool towels. The adults loved the nespresso coffee and we all enjoyed playing with the pool inflatables, games, and books. We visited in mid-June and bugs/wasps were starting to get bad. The place was beautiful and waking up to sunlight coming in the big bedroom windows was a peaceful way to start each day!

It was a very peaceful remote area. Great place to rewind and listen and watch nature. Especially enjoyed the rocking chairs & porch swing on the front porch while drinking my morning coffee. Although it was quite wet and rained most of the time we enjoyed our stay!!

Enjoyed my stay. Exactly as you would expect in a farm house. I felt very at home. Their property is gorgeous. They had an issue with their Internet and provided me with a Verizon hot spot ahead of time which was very thoughtful. Bed was very comfy too!

Great stay, very clean and spacious, beds were comfortable. Just like home and lake view and dock was really nice to sit on, many steps. The only think that made us uncomfortable were the dusty, potholes filled and muddy road when it rained. Due to the rain this year, some roads were closed and very bad at times. My wife and i were concerned driving there during day, let alone at night. We had all wheel drive, and it was bumpy. I would consider going back, if they fixed roads. Had to wash car every day. Amity was really nice and made us feel welcomed.

This is one of the best hosts I've worked with. Very responsive and accommodating. The house was lovely and quite clean and fresh with a truly beautiful view. There is carpeting in the bathroom and kitchen, which I think is a choice that can make for some cleaning challenges, but everything looked great to me. I'd love to go back in the colder months to make use of the lovely wood stove.

Great place. I is just as described. Very comfortable with everything we needed to enjoy a long weekend. The home is very clean and decor fits the space well with great small touches. Very close to lake access. We caught tons of fish off the docks and fishing the shore line.

The bathroom features light-colored walls and tiled flooring. A toilet is positioned along one wall. A dark shelf holds neatly arranged towels, with additional towels hanging nearby. A mirror is mounted above the shelf, and the door is partially visible, featuring a wooden finish.

The mattress was good 'ol cabin mattress. Could use a topper or updated mattress. The water (I assume) is on-demand, so it fluctuates often while showering. Place was clean with all the basics for a quick trip. Would stay again.
