Vacation rentals with breakfast in Bowness-on-Windermere

Absolutely loved my stay, Julia was extremely welcoming and even kind enough to offer a lift into town! Really appreciated her lovely relaxing and spotless home. Wish I could have stayed longer!

We were very comfortable in Andrew's fascinating and characterful home. Everything we needed was there including fresh milk in the fridge and a bowl of fruit on the table. Plenty of towels and hot water. The garden is lovely (frogs in the pond!) and the area historically interesting. Would be happy to stay there again.

I arrived at Janet’s quite late in the day and it was so great that I could immediately relax and unwind in one of Janet’s cosy and beautifully presented rooms.

Town centre location with a little window seat in the bedroom to look at the hills. Myles is a very welcoming host, thank you for a great stay!

Lovely welcome, a very nice suite, very spacious. All the breakfast goods were provided and we were able to use the kitchen and the fridge.

Brenda was a lovely host, very helpful, great communication, lovely old cottage and great location for hiking.

The details are what separate good stays from great ones. Hause Hall has thought these through to the last inch and it boasts unbeatable charm with a location that provides spectacular views and proximity to nature. It would be a mistake to keep searching for a better stay!

I stayed at Bleasdale Apartment as a single guest. The apartment was stunning, well equipped and extremely clean with beautiful decor and furnishings. The appliances were of top quality and easy to use. Very comfortable king size bed. I enjoyed a fabulous full cooked breakfast in the Priory, it was delicious. Very friendly host and staff. I will definitely stay again . Simply perfect. ❤️

Beautiful cottage in great location in the centre of town and handy for the Lakes. Spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished with lots of lovely touches like a beautiful bunch of flowers and goodies on arrival. Highly recommended.

What a lovely find for a last minute get away. Very easy to book and communication was excellent. We were greeted by Martin, who offered to help with our luggage, quirky followed by Howard. Both hosts were friendly, chatty and welcoming and were available if we needed anything during our stay. Howie provided us with a parking permit, a bargain at £5 and Martin showed us to our suite to make sure we were happy. Recommendations for places to visit were also given The suite was spotless and had everything we needed for our short stay. Bed was super comfy, fluffy towels and it was great to have a living area to relax when we returned later in the evening. On leaving the following morning, Martin came to say bye and again offered to carry our luggage. We had a lovely time, great hosts and will definitely return and recommend to family and friends. Thanks Martin and Howie.

A lovely place about 25 min drive from Windermere (I got a cab there). The house itself if an old farmhouse with an authentic feel. Within walking distance of the village of Hawkshead. Paul knows many pubs/restaurants and cafes in the area and is very helpful in finding places for eats, etc in the area. A lovely stay just b4 New Year’s Eve. Great value. Highly recommended!

The flat is well located to discover the lakes, and has everything you need. There are games for the children in the living room, which is always helpful and the kitchen is well stocked with essentials. The bed linen and towels smelt amazing!

You betcha I will be back! I absolutely loved Windermere and the surrounding towns. Exploring was made easier with Bonnie’s recommendations and the excellent location of the Lodge. Bonnie and family were exceptional and provided everyone with anything and everything. Thank you for having me🫶🏼

Had a peaceful nights sleep, Jacqueline and Geoff are friendly warm welcoming hosts. And Geoffs home made granola was heavenly, thank you so so much. The room was warm cosy perfect 💚✨🌳

Diane was a very responsive host and an extremely lovely person. She and Ian were very helpful, the location of the BnB was excellent, the room was lovely and clean with a comfortable bed and nice hot shower. Diane’s cooking was also incredible, we enjoyed two very lovely breakfasts. We would absolutely stay again!

Me and a group of friends stayed here over Easter and it was the most incredible place. Anton and Penny were so helpful and lovely. The complimentary breakfast and food at the pub was so delicious and the yurt was so cosy, clean and well put together. Would definitely come back to this Airbnb. Penrith was a 15 minute drive away and the village was very picturesque. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing stay with some very helpful hosts

Lovely welcoming house and hosts, in a beautiful area with outstanding countryside, lakes & hills. Room had all facilities , restful and comfy ; attention to detail exceptional and a brilliant breakfast in the room . Recommend !

Great 1 night getaway above Heidi’s cafe. Great central location to start and end walks in the area. Good communication and instructions from Emma to get into the property. Car parking extra but plenty nearby (£10 for 24 hrs). Lovely quirky room with a balcony (rm 6). Really good breakfast with very helpful staff (Craig). Gluten free catered for, for my wife. The only addition which would make the room perfect would be a small fridge. Will be back at some point in the near future. Thank you.

Graham was a really friendly and helpful host and made us feel very welcome at his place. He was able to give us advice about the Lake District and the hikes up Scafell Pike and Helvellyn as well as cycling around Lake Windermere. The place itself was very cosy and compact and Graham attended the room every day while we were out. The included breakfast was a nice continental which was a good start to the day. The location is in Windermere which is a lovely part of the Lake District and is walkable to Bowness-On-Windermere as well as a short drive/bus to Ambleside. Would recommend staying in Graham's place.
