Superb detached house, in quiet location with a cosy feel despite being very large. Amazing views and spacious gardens ideal for adventurous kids. We had a lovely time here with extended family and the hosts have thoughtfully included everything needed for an easy home from home feel. Would highly recommended staying here.

Had a great stay at The Falls property, such a cosy spot and just beautiful views. We were sad that we didnt really get to use the outside space as it looked great, and we were sad to leave. Would definitely book again if we were in Ambleside. Don't be put off that its outside the town, we timed a 7 minute walk through the back roads which was perfect, also meant we had parking which is clearly at a premium in the town!

Had a great time staying here with some friends for a long weekend in the Lake District. Really unique house, and easy access to great hikes.

We had a great few days staying at The Old Wash House - really well appointed and furnished to a high standard, with lots of quirky features. Extremely comfy bed and lovely hot shower. The hosts were very attentive and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this place.

Lovely cottage in a perfect location. Not even a minute from all of the restaurants, shops and bars of Windemere. House equipped with everything you need so would definitely stay again!

Alison was really friendly & great in the whole process. The house is the perfect location in Bowness-on-Windermere. The fact that all the rooms have en-suites is amazing & the room downstairs was FAB for my little 86 year old Nan. Thank you Alison.

Stayed here as I was running an Ultra (the Lap) in the area with a start point not far away so this was an ideal location. What made this stay amazing was the property itself and Louise’s communication which was spot on, very friendly and welcoming. I felt at home when I didn’t need any distractions other than the event I was focussed on and this was 100% possible here. I even met some of the neighbours who were really lovely and helpful too. 100% recommend staying here ❤️

We loved this little lodge, the scenery was perfect. The kids loved going in the lake and feeding the ducks. A Perfect little holiday spot for what we needed, some peaceful relaxation. Best lodge location on the park!

We stayed at Simon and Belinda's place for a week and it was exactly what we needed. Fantastic location for walks and food. The Wainwright's Inn is only 0.2 miles away. Great food and local ales on your doorstep. The cottage is cosy, the kitchen is well equipped and the information provided was very thorough and useful. There are some books in the house they have prepared to show various walks and local recommendations. We did some of these walks and our 5 year old enjoyed every second! We took advantage of the leisure facilities at The Langdale. This was a great addition to the cottage! Really recommend if you want a place near to town locations, walks and local pubs/cafés/restaurants.

Absolutely loved our stay at Jennifer's place. Was a last minute booking to celebrate a birthday and finding this place available was perfect and on top of that we were so lucky with the weather. It's been a long time since visited the lakes and never had the weather so good. Jennifer's place had everything you could possible need, it was clean & homely and felt so comfortable. It is furnished so beautifully with great attention to detail, beautiful pictures around the home and the kitchen was so well equipped. Jennifer the host was happy to help with any questions. The most amazing location, cabin is wonderful has EVERYTHING you could ever need, there’s not many places I could stay a week but we could here! We will be back, the pool is a great addition for children also. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your cabin ⭐️

One of our favourite ever Airbnb’s! Just the perfect peaceful spot in the quintessential English countryside. The place was brilliantly kitted with so many smaller things you end up needing without realizing it. The full length mirror is always appreciated. Fantastic large smart TV with easy login to any streaming service. The “Herdy” theme for the kitchen was really a nice touch. Great big fridge and freezer. Super comfy bed. Nice big couch to relax after a long day of exploring. Alun was a fantastic host. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful 5 day stay! The caravan was perfect for our family of four (plus our dog) — cozy, spacious, and full of thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. What really stood out was the incredible attention to detail, especially for our pup — treats, a towel, and even a blanket were waiting for her. It was so heartwarming and showed how much care went into everything. Our host was amazing — Sam sent us great recommendations in advance for places to eat and things to do, which made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. The fresh flowers and duck food left for us were such a lovely surprise — it truly felt like a personal and welcoming experience. We’re so grateful and would absolutely love to come back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm, pet-friendly getaway!

We went for a short break and it was lovely! The house was perfect for chilling out after a long day. Kitchen had a lot of things we needed and plenty of things to do even in the home! Perfect location, both towns either side of us with lots of options to eat and all within walking distance too. We were so glad we were able to stay here and hoping to be back soon! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Peg’s Place. There was a lovely bottle of Prosecco to greet us which got the holiday off to a great start! The small cottage is very well designed and equipped. Perfect for a couple, small car and small dog. Quick walk into Bowness on Windermere with access to lake and local amenities. Ross was very friendly and reactive in his communication.

Steps Cottage was a lovely home from home, in an ideal location within walking distance of both Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere itself. Lots of lovely dog walks, pubs, shops, restaurants and wonderful views and scenery. The host was extremely informative and responsive, we enjoyed our stay so much we arranged to stay an extra night!

Amazing apartment! The cleanest Airbnb we've ever stayed at! Perfect location right in the middle of Windermere, easy to drop bags off, good parking 1 min walk away. Liam was amazing and all the staff at The Tilly were really fantastic! Very kind and made it extra special as it was our honeymoon and able to take puppy with us! so close to everything we wanted to do, drive, walk or take the bus! Apartment was beautifully furnished, brilliant WiFi and TV, lovely nights out and nights in, highly recommend the fish shop just round the corner! Thank you again for making our honeymoon so memorable and perfect! Will definitely stay again and have recommended to friends and family ❤️

Great spot, lovely bathroom & room. We felt we had everything we needed. Craig was very attentive and always answered queries right away. Nespresso machine was a great touch. Would certainly recommend.
