we stayed over the bank holiday whilst visiting family. fantastic and cosy cottage which suited us perfectly! the cottage was clean, warm and exactly as described. we will definitely be staying again when we next come to visit family. we accidentally left behind some glasses and Naomi was extremely fast to let us know and offered to post them which we were extremely appreciative off.

The Highlands – Jacuzzi – Tennis Courts – Iden

JonathanRating, 5 stars4 months ago
This place was an absolute find and we loved spending time here. There was a very cosy snug living room, well stocked kitchen and two bathrooms with decent showers. we thorough enjoyed staying here as it had everything we needed. It did get a little cold the first night, but the clear instructions inside made using the central heating system simple, plus they left wood for the fireplace which was a huge plus! Super responsive and provided some local recommendations. A long walk down to Rye, but the taxi services all knew about the house so getting home was easy! Thanks for a wonderful stay!
A wood-fired hot tub is set in a grassy area surrounded by trees. The vineyard and rows of grapevines stretch into the distance under a clear blue sky, creating a serene backdrop for relaxation.

A great use of space - cosy, comfortable and with all the modern amenities you’d need for a great stay! It’s retains a beautiful cottage charm, and the surrounding vineyard is spectacular. You get a lovely view from the private back garden that you can rest and relax in during the evening whilst you soak in the hot tub. The hosts left a lovely guide to help us navigate to some wonderful local sites and the cottage is a great base to explore the surrounding countryside from, and had left a welcome gift in the fridge which was a delight. There is convenient off road parking, and it’s only a 15 minute drive to a supermarket, takeaway or restaurant. Even in late autumn, the microclimate was warm and gave us sun, and we’d love to revisit in the spring. The countryside is beautiful with spectacular views and historic buildings in every direction. We’d highly recommend this cottage and the hosts, it was a peaceful and relaxing stay and very enjoyable. Thank you to the Grape Escape!

Cooden Cottage - Seaside retreat, pets welcome

NicolaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a wonderful week at Easter at Cooden Cottage. Ella was amazing and even helped us find a lost dog! The house is spotless, and beyond our expectations. The flow of the downstairs through to an amazing kitchen, conservatory and completely fenced garden was perfect for us and our two large dogs and we had several family get togethers in the garden, surrounded by greenery. The beds, bedrooms and bathrooms were excellent with plenty is space. We met Ella twice and it is clear that she is passionate about giving her guests a really special experience, from thoughtful touches to all rooms to a lovely welcome pack. While there, she wants her guests to feel that it is space and she completely achieved that. We felt at home and will definitely be back. Thank you!

Beautiful house and garden .We were very lucky with the weather over Easter so used the hot tub and BBQ. We liked the way instructions were placed in frames and located near the appliances. The kitchen was very well equipped . Walking into Bexhill took 15 minutes and to the seafront was easy and there is plenty to see and do. We will definitely return in the future.

Escape to quality and peace in East Sussex.

ClaireRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A lovely modern cottage, exactly as described and photographed. It was well kitted out and essentials were provided. The bed was super comfortable but just a gentle note that if you have any mobility issues the apex of the roof means that you cannot stand up straight around the bed and the bed is low but this was not a problem on our stay. Helena and Philip were both really friendly and helpful. My personal favourite touch was when Philip invited me to pick some roses from the cottage garden to take inside. The hot tub was a real treat but please be mindful that you are in someone’s back garden so not completely secluded if they are enjoying their own space. Highly recommend, we would definitely go back.

Thatched Cottage Kent hideaway 3 Bed HotTub Haven!

OlgaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
What a beautiful cottage! Exactly like on the photos, very charming. Surroundings are stunning, hot tub was a treat. The kitchen is very well equipped with anything you might need. Beds were comfortable and cozy. The conservatory was great to just sit and play board games and have lovely meals, was nice and warm and toastie in there and the views!! Pauline’s communication and response times were excellent, very friendly and accommodating. All I would suggest, if possible is perhaps to think of some sort of covers/shelter from the cold/wind by the hot tub. It was very windy and we still wanted to enjoy the hot tub, but it got very cold whilst inside. Some sort of coverings will work a treat. Pauline suggested some great pubs and things to do in the area. All and all my friends and I had a lovely stay. Thanks Pauline!

The Hideout - in the heart of Ashdown Forest

AlanRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We had a wonderful week at the Hideout. The accommodation was so comfortable and cosy and the setting so lovely. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the bed so comfy and the shower lovely and hot. We had an issue with one of the blinds (probably my fault!) and this was resolved almost immediately. Jo and Charles were very friendly and helpful, and gave great advice for what to do on one of our rainier days! The scenery around in the Ashdown Forest is beautiful, with endless possibilities for walking with our 2 dogs. There are so many other nice places nearby to visit - Battle, Lewes, Hever Castle, Sheffield Park and many more. We would thoroughly recommend the Hideout for a couple as perfect for exploring the local area.

Lovely Unique Beachfront Cottage

JennieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We wanted to share how much we enjoyed our recent stay at this wonderful cottage. Absolutely gorgeous – the open-plan design and comfortable furnishings were perfect for catching up with friends. We were impressed with how well-equipped the cottage was. From the thoughtful selection of games and books to the well-stocked kitchen, all appliances and utensils you could want and the lovely welcome basket of local treats, we appreciated every detail. The location was great. Being able to walk directly onto the beach from the pretty back garden was stunning, we had great weather, which allowed us to fully relax on the beach and enjoy morning runs. We had a delightful lunch at the Royal Oak, which was within walking distance (the steep hills were a bit of a workout!). Mark and Leanne were great hosts, always very quick to reply and sent local info before we arrived. Would 100% love to go back with my family this time (and soon!). Thanks very much for a great stay!

Stylish family retreat, Rye, coast, sleeps 8

FionaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We have had a wonderful stay at Mr Catts House during May half term. We were a multigenerational group, and everyone agreed that the house felt like home from the moment we walked in. The children loved seeing the lambs in the field at the end of the garden, and watching for bunnies and birds in the garden. The adults were very grateful of the thoughtful items left by Ruth; tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil and herbs to name a few, are all things that can easily get forgotten when packing for a week away. The bbq was used a couple of times and we ate in a number of times due to having children with us. Rhe kitchen was well stocked with cutlery, plates and utensils which we were very grateful for. Ruth did provide us with a fab selection of places to eat at and we did use her recommendations for a couple of meals. Thank you for being so speedy at replying to our messages Ruth and for making our stay perfect!

Hastings…A Pretty 2 bedroomed cottage

SarahRating, 5 stars5 days ago
The cottage was extremely clean and tidy and very comfortable. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided and enhanced our stay. I particularly enjoyed the shower and the view from the living room. We didn’t get to use the garden because of the inclement weather but it looked well designed. This was a great base from which to explore the local area. We even caught the train from Ore ( which was only 10 minutes walk away ) to Rye which was a fun outing. All in all, a lovely break in a great cottage
