Excellent in every way. Where do I start… the location cannot be beat. Armenian street is THE George Town street to see, and it’s walking distance to many amazing restaurants, hawkers centers, boutique shops, street artworks, and other attractions like the esplanade and large shopping malls. The home itself has a very peaceful feel, oozing with oldtown charm, tastefully furnished, and very spacious. The beds are comfortable, the aircon is excellent, the hot/cold filtered water machine is super convenient, and the washer/dryer works well. Things to note: The bathroom ceiling is quite low- if you’re over 5’10” you’ll be stooped over, but they provide a shower seat. There is an atrium in the middle of the home that is open to the floor below and the shop on the ground floor. This is no issue, but something to be aware of if you have toddlers like us that are, at times, difficult to keep calm and quiet.

This house is just as magical as it looks in the pictures, with complete and thoughtful amenities. Location-wise, it’s fantastic—just around the corner from Armenian Street. The immediate surroundings may not seem impressive at first glance—the alley is quite busy with people walking or parking, and some neighboring units are run-down. But once you step inside, it feels like a hidden gem. The contrast between the outside and the beautiful interior makes the stay feel even more special. The entrance is a bit narrow with a few steps and a slightly steep ramp (as it’s a preserved heritage building), but it was still manageable for my mom, who has mild knee issues. The host was also wonderful — clear, responsive, and thoughtful. All the instructions were easy to follow, and everything was prepared so well for our arrival. You can tell they’ve put care into making guests feel welcome and comfortable. All in all, my family was very happy with our stay and would love to return again!

Came to Penang for a prayer retreat and has a wonderful time staying here. Beautiful views of the ocean and convinient location are what makes this place a good choice. Apartment was clean and well equipped.

We stayed here for a month and had a great time. The beach view was great and we had live music from the beach bars and fireworks each night (for more than 4 weeks). Maybe that had to do with Chinese New Year, but it actually went on after CNY as well. Communication was excellent, there was a helpful representative who was almost always nearby and ready to assist with some very small issues we had. The security guys were very friendly to our kids and would accept packages that were delivered for us when we were out. The only significant point of improvement I see is that a bit more attention should be paid to the cleaning.

I'd give more than five stars if AirBnB would let me. We felt really at home, and would unequivocally recommend the place. Siew Lin is an amazing host, flexible, helpful. The place is great. It's bigger than it looks in the pictures; there are two fully-fitted bathrooms, each with a shower; a great kitchen that is fully equipped; washing machine and a drying rack on the beautiful balcony; everything to feel like home... The location is also perfect. In the building complex there's a fully-stocked supermarket (downstairs and across a covered walkway, 3 minutes door-to-door), great restaurants, a beautiful pool that is always empty, a gym, great surroundings... We also like the geography in the city, nestled (somehow extremely quietly) between Georgetown and Tanjung Bungah!

Sarah was the nicest person I rented from on Airbnb for the past 7 years. She provided ideas and recommendations and was always responsive. She even offered us a full bag of fruits :) The place has everything you need to cook, sleep, shower and a enjoy the sea view. There is an amazing restaurant 2 min away that has delicious Indian food, and the beach view is amazing from inside the house. We definitelly recommend staying at Sarah’s house if you want to stay away from the crowded city and malls to just enjoy the nature of Penang and the nearby parks and farms. ❤️

Overall experience was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

巨好的房东！！！！ 最好的Charles！！！中文说得好好哦！ 1、入住当晚十点多了还在大厅等我们入住，非常耐心和贴心的讲解房间的电器等物品使用和位置。游玩和吃也有推荐！ 2、房间非常非常干净，真的很想问怎么清洁能做到地板那么干净！ 3、最后一天因为我们早上去了升旗山，节假日人太多了，预估错了回去退房的时间。折腾到下午两点多才回去，而下一个房客在三点后要入住，真的特别焦虑不知道该怎么办。Charles人巨好！拿着我们的行李等我们来退房😢😭 第一次使用airbnb就遇到如此神仙的房东，槟城留给我们的记忆是独一份的。 Charles如果你有机会来中国，记得联系我们哟！

「ペナン島で暮らすように過ごしたい！」という私の願望を叶えてくれた部屋で大満足しています。部屋からはヨットハーバーが目の前に見えます。スーパーも近く、食料品から日用品まで揃います。ワインショップも近いです。レストランも沢山あります。Grabを呼ぶのにも便利で毎日利用して出かけました。ペナンは暑くて汗を沢山かくので洗濯が毎日できたことはとても助かりました。 プールでも泳ぎ気持ち良かったです。夜は下のレストランから歌が聴こえたりしますが私はうるさくて困るというほどではなかったです。(感じ方は人それぞれだと思いますが…) Ooiさんに何か質問をするとすぐに返事がきて対応してもらえ安心して過ごすことができました。セキュリティの面でもしっかりしているコンドミニアムだと思います。 コンロは使えなかったので部屋ではお湯を沸かしてお茶を飲んだり果物を買ってきて食べました。屋台グルメ天国のペナンでは部屋で調理しなくても良かったのでコンロが使えなくても全く困りませんでした。 ペナンでの快適なお部屋を貸していただきありがとうございました。また再訪したい場所です。

We really enjoyed our stay at Siang’s Place at Straits Quay. This was the first AiraBNB in a long time where a person showed up to check us in and out. Kev was our contact person during our stay and he was kind, helpful and always available. The unit was clean and comfortable matching the description on the listing. All of the other nice things that people have said in their reviews are true. Even though the unit does not face the water, the balcony is large and nicely shaded in the morning for enjoying our coffee. Some of the things we really liked include the pool and gym (new equipment in the gym and strong AC), the wonderful grocery store just a few steps away, the walking paths along the water (perfect for morning or evening walks), easy pick up and drop off for Grab, and the weekly cleaning service included in the fee. Great stay, we will come again. Thanks Kev and Siang.

We had a wonderful stay at the apartment. It was as described and in the photos. Clean and comfortable. Huai Chih is an excellent host, almost responded to questions quickly and he had great suggestions.

Location is the best thing about this accommodation. Walking distance to many popular food places. The view floor the high floor was amazing!

Weykey is great host, she gave clear instruction upon our check in/out time, always responsive and also helpful. Her unit is superb, Spotlessly clean, has a great view towards the ocean and the city, lots of big windows, bright, bed was soo comfy and a have a nice kitchen set up. We truly have no complain about her unit and loving every second we spent there. Will definitely book this unit again if we happen have a chance to go back to Penang!
