Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Batu Ferringhi

I’m reviewing this stay from an American perspective and as an Airbnb host myself. This stay is beautiful, unique, well located and clean. I read the other reviews and while yes, it gets warm in the upstairs bathroom, the house is an original shophouse. It’s very old, but has been re-done beautifully. The AC is in the bedrooms, there are fans for the rest of the house and it’s fine. It’s spacious, none of the external noise was very loud, except the rain when it came down hard in a thunderstorm! The listing says the beds are queens but they’re king beds by US standards. We found them to be very comfortable. The location was fantastic we could walk or get a Grab easily to everywhere we wanted to go. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic experience in. It’s not the Ritz, if that’s what you’re looking for this is not the place for you but if you want to experience Penang like a local, this is your place. The antiques are beautiful and you cannot beat the price!

Our short vacation in Penang was memorable and fun. When we checked in at Peddey's house we were impressed with the house, small yet so cosy and felt at home. The house can accommodate all the 6 of us just nicely and we had peaceful nights after our JJCM in Penang. Thanks Peddey. Will surely come again and book your homestay the next time. Fiona was a great host throughout the stay, she was also very accommodating of requests that was made to her. The house were clean and thorough with provided amenities. The only thing would be that, the mattresses are slightly lower for my elderly relatives but if you huge young crowd, this is the perfect place to get together Plenty of room around the house to 'lepak', get together, chit chat. Overall great stay and great place for a huge crowd.

A great place for a party of 14 people. There were sufficient and comfortable beds for all us. The balcony on the first floor was a spacious place to hang out. And when it got too hot, we could head down to the hall downstairs which was cool with 2 air conditioners. The location was very convienient as it was a 9 minute drive from the ferry terminal and about less than 10 minutes walk from the supermarket nearby (Giant). There is also walkable marts in the area too. All in all, a great place to stay with a wonderful host.

Nice cozy place to stay, clean and comfortable

I recently stayed at a Uni Villa in Penang and absolutely loved it! The house was very spacious and beautifully maintained…perfect for relaxing with friends or family. The overall vibe of the place was so peaceful and comfortable.

We were very happy and comfortable with the accommodation. Packets of snacks (which my kids loved) and sachets of beverages were provided, which was very thoughtful! There's also a water filter/dispenser in the kitchen which we could get hot and cold water from, this was very useful and convenient! We did not spot a single cockroach, ant, lizard nor pest in the house, which is quite rare because it's rainy season and landed houses usually have some pests - the house was very clean. Also towels in every room and basic toiletries provided. Water heater worked well. Thank you for having us!

Fantastic Stay for Families & Events! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing time at this Penang homestay! The house was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, making it perfect for our family gathering. The host was incredibly accommodating and ensured we had everything we needed. The common areas were great for bonding, and the outdoor space was ideal for small events. The location was convenient, with easy access to local attractions and delicious food. A special shoutout to CJ, our host, who was super helpful and responsive throughout our stay. From the moment we booked, CJ made sure everything was smooth and hassle-free, promptly answering any questions and going the extra mile to make us feel at home. His warm hospitality truly made a difference, and we’re grateful for such a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this homestay for families and those looking for a great venue for gatherings. Goh’s place looks exactly like the photos clean, cozy, and well-prepared. She was quick to respond to any questions I had, making the whole experience smooth and pleasant. Highly recommended!

This home is very comfortable and lovely. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Penang. The place looks exactly like the photos. They even have a Cuckoo water dispenser, which makes it easy to get a drink, and there are some snacks provided like ice cream and Maggi. The house is also very clean and easy to access. Highly recommended!

I enjoyed staying here. It was very clean and spacious as a single guest. The building was very western and modern. It's a good location. You can get a Grab in minutes and be anywhere downtown in about 5-10 minutes. I appreciated the the accuracy to photos, the large TV, and coffee shop at the bottom of the building. This AirBnb is ideal for individuals who like a comfy large space, or families.

Host is very proactive and replies fast, helps with our requests and very kind. Location is near town, highly recommended

Great place to stay. Easy to access lift n clean house

Our stay at Cecilia's condo was for 2 months, so it quickly became our little home away from home. Everything met our expectations as per the description of the condo. The bed and livingroom furniture are comfy and the kitchen is well stocked with supplies and cookware. We used the stove daily for light cooking and there are two fridges which helps if you stock up on groceries. We loved the nature surrounding this condo and the regular visits by the monkeys. They instantly became the highlight of our stay, for sure. The sea view is also beautiful. There were plenty of cargo and cruise ships to watch, as well as the fishing boats that arrive early every morning. We chose not to rent a car. This location is very doable without one. We used Grab to get to and from Georgetown for shopping and touristy things. Overall, Cecilia's home is a wonderful stay for anyone looking for a natural setting, quiet, and of course monkeys! Thank you Cecilia for being such a gracious host!

The location is peaceful, with great local food nearby and access to a rooftop swimming pool. The accommodation is clean, and the host is friendly and hospitable.

Generally the apartment is good. Location around 10min away by cab from the old Georgetown places. Only gripe is that during peak season, having only 4 lifts to serve 40+ levels of residents means having to wait quite a bit for lift during peak hours. Host is quite friendly and accommodating though, so no complaints

The apartment is located in the Landmark building which caters for a lot of Airbnb units. The building is surrounded by a lot of shopping and food options but if you want to see Penang it would be best to drive/Grab. This unit is well looked after and extremely well optioned with free parking, big tv, Netflix, micro, water dispenser etc. etc and the block has an excellent gym and pool with great views. The Homey Planet team are very friendly and helpful and respond quickly to any questions or requests. We had the apt on the 33rd floor with amazing views of the Gurney shoreline and over the affluent Tg Tokong bungalows. On New Years Eve the view of the fireworks along the waterfront and across the island was just awesome. The furniture and beds are a bit hard wearing to cope with the high traffic - this could easily pass as a luxury apartment with an upgrade of the furnishings but at the current price it’s amazing value for money. Recommended!
