The magical view of the world below with the coast on the horizon which can be enjoyed from every room of the house and from the entire olive orchard with its walking paths and plunge pool with waterfall. Being a pedestrian village, Metato is quiet and peaceful. Yet, the beach and many great places to visit are a short drive away- Pisa, Florence, Lucca, the marble quarries of Cararra, Pietrasanta, Viareggio.... Guests have exclusive access to the pool and property. Metato is a friendly litttle village in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There is a quaint family-run restaurant in the village that serves local homemade dishes at a very reasonable price. Our pedestrian village tends to attract kind people in search of peace and quiet and a proximity with nature. Time seems to go by more slowly here. It is a perfect base for families who want to explore Tuscany and the beaches of the Versilia coast. The home is in a beautiful, quiet location on a hill surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards just a 10-minute walk from the parking lot. Explore the medieval village of Metato where fireflies and breathtaking views await. Take an invigorating hike or head to the beaches a short drive away. There is a parking lot at the base of the village where you can park the car. The village itself is pedestrian but I am happy to greet guests at the parking lot on their arrival to transport their luggage, groceries and whoever wants to ride to the house with my little Italian tractor! The nearest airport is Pisa (45-minutes by car). All the major car rental places can be found there. The nearest train station is Viareggio.

the Rossino mill

The first traces told about this old mill dating from the late 1500 and early 1600. Owned by the family Giaccai since 1920, the last handler was Scannerini Marino said "Rossino." The mill, located in the heart of Switzerland Pesciatina, is the only property to have intact the original tunnel made with the original Vellano’s stone, that connects the mill to the left side of the river Pescia. Upon exiting the tunnel, there is a private beach with exclusive access to a natural swimming pool bordered by small waterfalls. On the north side was brought to light by the current owners Letizia and Tiberio, the old stone called "gora" which made the water flow to the millpond to operate the millstones, then placed inside the mill, one of which is still visible as part of the outside sink. The building active until the early '50s, at the end of 2002 has been restored with great skill and intended for residential purposes in civil. It is composed of two apartments and a mansard, independent of each other. Each of the units is equipped with fireplace, built-in kitchen, terracotta-tiled floor and and ceilings with exposed beams. The bathrooms are completely renovated with modern standards, are endowed of showers and the mansard is endowed of jacuzzi . The green of the forest and the water flow of the river, make this place an oasis of relaxation in contact with the nature: a beautiful vien on Valleriana and a window into the past, to the discovery of an ancient world full of scents and flavors of the past. The furniture has been personally overseen by Tiberio Bartolini one of the owners, interior designers, also known at the international level, which this mill has wanted to do an emotion to share with any guests to discover a way of life.

Podere Vergianoni is an ancient and historic property dating back to the 17th century, located in the beautiful hills of Chianti in Tuscany, with the possibility of organizing a shuttle service and exclusive experiences tailored to you. The apartment is available for 2 adults, with the possibility of adding a sofa bed for 2 children under 12 years of age. In the large outdoor courtyard, you'll find a saltwater swimming pool with a relaxation area on a panoramic terrace overlooking the castle, hills, and vineyards, with incomparable sunsets.

Beautiful house with spectacular views and infinity pool. Very private, no other guests or sharing anything. This is something else. Villa Vetteglia is built on a hilltop, the views are 360 degrees. 3 bed (with AC) and 3 bath (beds 7/8 are a comfortable pull out bed in the living room) The location is private and remote yet close to Lucca, Pisa, Florence. Bagni di Lucca (for shopping) is 7km. About the location, it is on a asphalted mountain road, but see the pics before you make a booking :)

Casa Melograno is a carefully renovated stone farmhouse. To get to the house, there is an uphill road not suitable for low-suspension cars, where the first 5 meters are for experienced drivers. The swimming pool has a terrace and wooden pergola, deck chairs, and umbrellas. The whole place is completed by Tuscan furnishings with stone walls, chestnut beams, and terracotta floors. Casa Melograno has 2 double bedrooms, a kitchen and 2 bathrooms. A large private garden completes the property.

Riverside Villa is developed on 3 floors, it has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms (all en-suite, 3 with bathtubs, 1 with shower), a kitchen, a dining room and a sitting room. The current accommodation is for up to 6 people. But the house is very large and can comfortably host 8. Please check another listing called 'Riverside Villa - Byron for 8" if you are 7 or 8. The houses next door, Puccini and Teresa, can be rented at the same time, the whole villa can receive up to 18 people.
