The Trullo Apulia is an exclusive property, made by recovering an original ancient historic domed house (called "Trullo Saraceno"), enriched by a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and steam room for private use, in a scenic location, just 2 km from Ostuni and 10 km from the beautiful beaches of Puglia. It can accommodate up to 8 people. Note: the reservation fee does not include consumption of electricity (€0.50/kWh), gas (€5/m3) and the tourist tax (€1/day for each person for the first 5 days) that will be calculated and paid at the end of your stay. The property consists of 2 housing units (Saracen trullo with 3 cones + lamia) that are totally independent, but communicating with each other, separated by a lockable door. Each unit includes a dining room with fireplace, satellite LED TV and double sofa bed, a kitchenette complete with appliances (fridge-freezer, electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine, small appliances) and a bedroom with private bathroom, complete with emotional shower for chromotherapy. Ideal for 2 families of friends who, without prejudice to privacy, can enjoy common moments of relaxation and fun, it can also be used as a single housing unit, using one of the two living areas as a third double bedroom. All rooms in the house are air-conditioned and have WiFi internet connection. Guests have private parking available. The entire property has a maximum capacity of 8 beds, providing its guests with 4 bathrooms, including 2 complete interiors, a wellness area with a Turkish bath, aromatherapy, a large whirlpool tub (overlooking a suggestive rock wall), an emotional shower with chromotherapy and toilets and 1 outdoor bathroom (toilet+sink) with a shower. The exclusive saltwater infinity pool with whirlpool is surrounded by the greenery of the Mediterranean maquis. This oasis of privacy and relaxation has everything you need, including a solarium area, an outdoor shower, and a bathroom. The depth of the pool water meets the legal requirements to ensure maximum safety even for the little ones. There are many furnished outdoor spaces and minimal chic settings that allow guests to have lunch or dinner on a large panoramic terrace shaded by a straw gazebo or to enjoy, as soon as they wake up, a rich outdoor breakfast, in an area equipped right in front of the French window of their bedroom, breathing the scents of the fields, in the intimacy of the early morning light. At sunset, the uniqueness of the trullo and the surrounding garden are further enhanced by the evening lighting, which will give you new emotions and an unforgettable charm, brightened by the unmistakable flavors of grilled food on the barbecue. The housing complex is the result of a very recent renovation of buildings of historical value (the Saracen Trullo with its characteristic white dome is even older than the cone-shaped trullo), in which the skilful recovery of the materials, techniques and canons typical of Apulian architecture and history, have allowed a restoration of interiors and exteriors that maintains a strongly evocative and respectful line of the places, even in the furnishings with light and natural colors, designed with the utmost attention to detail and consisting of unique and original pieces. The charm of the location is unparalleled: the building overlooks a terraced garden characterized by the typical dry stone walls, beyond which it opens, as far as the eye can see, on an area of about 6,000 square meters of exclusive use of the house, a valley of magnificent centuries-old olive trees on red earth. A citrus grove, an orchard, large areas of Mediterranean scrub, among which there are many plants and aromatic herbs, reveal images, in a riot of colors and scents of unspoiled nature that illuminate the eyes and cheer the mind. Be immersed in the peace and quiet of a Tuscan olive orchard by staying in this stone farmhouse which features traditional architectural elements such as terra cotta floors, vaulted ceilings, and original wood fixtures. Dive into the plunge pool with sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea. For adventurous travelers who will appreciate the 10-minute panoramic walk to the house (we will transport your luggage and groceries by tractor). The magical view of the world below with the coast on the horizon which can be enjoyed from every room of the house and from the entire olive orchard with its walking paths and plunge pool with waterfall. Being a pedestrian village, Metato is quiet and peaceful. Yet, the beach and many great places to visit are a short drive away- Pisa, Florence, Lucca, the marble quarries of Cararra, Pietrasanta, Viareggio.... Guests have exclusive access to the pool and property. Metato is a friendly litttle village in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There is a quaint family-run restaurant in the village that serves local homemade dishes at a very reasonable price. Our pedestrian village tends to attract kind people in search of peace and quiet and a proximity with nature. Time seems to go by more slowly here. It is a perfect base for families who want to explore Tuscany and the beaches of the Versilia coast. The home is in a beautiful, quiet location on a hill surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards just a 10-minute walk from the parking lot. Explore the medieval village of Metato where fireflies and breathtaking views await. Take an invigorating hike or head to the beaches a short drive away. There is a parking lot at the base of the village where you can park the car. The village itself is pedestrian but I am happy to greet guests at the parking lot on their arrival to transport their luggage, groceries and whoever wants to ride to the house with my little Italian tractor! The nearest airport is Pisa (45-minutes by car). All the major car rental places can be found there. The nearest train station is Viareggio.

The house among olive trees

A cottage made up of stone and timber built on two storeys, with a large living room, glass window, a couch for two people and a bathroom with sauna; on the second storey there is a double bedroom. Outdoors, there is a large garden with a porch equipped with BBQ and a wooden table. The site is located on the pleasant hills between Bellegra and Olevano Romano. We have currently added two beds, set up in a wonderful Indian teepe available for two extra guests in addition to the four ones.
