Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Arcozelo

Very enjoyable stay. Photos do not do the house justice. Big living area and great outdoor space. 4 good size doubles - massive king bed and especially liked the private annex. OK sofa bed could potentially be upgraded in living room. Fantastic local recommendations and easy transport links to both town and coast and airport.

Joana's house was exactly what we needed 4 adult couples from the family each from a different part of the world The house is wonderfully equipped Designed in a rustic style, inviting and the garden is well maintained The property is exactly as you see in the pictures. It was well worth it!

We spent a weekend at Artur's house with my family and the experience was wonderful. His house is ideal, the area is very quiet, you can get there easily and the location is magnificent if you want to visit Porto, it is a 10-minute drive. Communication with Artur was great, very attentive and his recommendations were very accurate. We'll be back!!!

From the moment we made contact, our hosts made us feel truly welcome. Their kindness, thoughtfulness, and warm hospitality turned our first trip to Portugal into a very special experience. The accommodation was exactly as described — a charming, traditional home set on a vast plot of beautiful land. It felt incredibly secure with two gates, and the setting allows you to enjoy complete privacy or connect with the hosts and animals as much as you like. It really does cater to what you need as a family. The house had everything we needed for cooking, and the thoughtful touch of a few essentials in the fridge on arrival was much appreciated. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and we slept well throughout our stay. Our children especially loved meeting the animals and being shown around the grounds — it was such a unique and memorable part of the holiday for them.

A gem of a place to stay! Bárbara was an amazing host. The fresh bread each morning was a yummy bonus!

Our family (4&3 yo) had a lovely stay. The space is large for the kids to play. It is a space which allows play time and games with no TV, something of a blessing. The bedrooms are close by to each other but provide privacy so not to disturb each other. The hosts are wonderful, we arrived late but José still took the time to greet us and provide essentials to save us having to go shopping. Our kids really enjoyed their time with José and his home.

We stayed here for two nights and loved the house. It’s situated within walking distance to the attractions within the town and also a close drive to the Douro Valley. I would highly recommend. Host was also quick to respond to any questions.

Our first family holiday with 2 young children - we absolutely loved our time at Filipe's and hope to return next year. The apartment is spacious and made us feel like we were at home. We enjoyed using the pool and tennis court/football picth with the kids. There are beautiful beaches within walking distance, and so many amazing restaurants serving excellent food. Filipe was very helpful and responsive to our many questions, and his hosting skills were much appreciated. We did not have any problems, but if we did - we would have felt safe with Filipe! Thank you for everything, Filipe.

We had a wonderful stay at Sousa's place and would happily stay again! It was spacious, modern, clean, and all around very comfortable including A/C, laundry, and lockers in the lobby for use on check-out day. We loved the location on a quiet street just 5-10 minutes from a bunch of great food (recommend Torto, Mare, and Fabrica) and the Trindade metro station.

Abi and Regina are exceptional hosts who made our stay memorable. We especially enjoyed the tour of the animation museum by Abi which was fascinating The property is very lovely, the flower and vegetable gardens are incredible and the whole ambience is very relaxing. A perfect place to stay for several days. We thoroughly recommend staying here and look forward to returning

We had a lovely stay at the apartment. Very spacious and well equipped. We would stay here again.

There were three of us sharing the property and it was so nice that I almost wanted to move in permanently! Nice terrace and very tasteful decor in quiet area. It was a short taxi ride from the airport, good proximity to the grocery store and a very nice pastry shop. Great choice if you like to stay a little secluded from the most visited tourist trails and discover different areas. We walked almost everywhere with the exception of some cheap taxi rides. 10/10 residents :)

Fernandes was very welcoming and the hospitality was fantastic. We felt at home. The view is amazing, the facilities are good. We had a wonderful time.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, with modern and newly furnished interiors. The location was excellent — close to everything, and there was a great supermarket just around the corner. The internet was super fast, which was a big plus. It would have been even better with an elevator, but hey, you’re in the land of hills after all! :) All in all, a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

Lovely property which was quiet and secluded. Facilities and aircon excellent also. If I have any criticism there could have been better communication re fixtures and appliances, bins, recycling, etc. The instruction to access the keys was excellent though not all of us are familiar with electronic gates! The water pressure is not great for showering despite taking it in turns and the toaster tripped the fuse to the whole kitchen on arrival which was interesting trying to find the fuse board to put it right though Rodrigo did respond to our call quickly. On balance a lovely place and would consider visiting again.

We were invited to a wedding at the Quinta Solar da Levado in Amares, Cidalia's house is quite close (8 min) which is rather appreciable in case of fatigue. The house is very large and clean on a double level. A beautiful vegetable/flower garden is nice to enjoy the beautiful weather. Cidalia is very responsive and gives very clear instructions. As a guest, just remember to bring cash to pay the municipal tax.

We had an absolutely incredible stay! The house is even better than the pictures, and our host could not have been more wonderful, flexible, accommodating and welcoming. A few highlights that aren’t immediately obvious: fresh bread delivery every morning, kitchen is wonderful and very easy to cook in, charcoal grill outside is fantastic - and lovely for grilling fresh fish in! (ask if fish is available from the local fish monger!). You can also easily do a day trip into Porto from this hidden paradise. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ricardo and his father Mario, or this amazing villa!

Had a great time in Marie’s place. She welcomed us really well sharing local places we could go to to shop or eat, and recommendation for Porto. Very easy to check in and flexible which was great. The house is very big with all amenities, and a very nice area by the swimming pool. Thanks again !

We love and hope to repeat our stay at Toorgo House in the future! Both Mr. Manuel and his son Pedro were extremely helpful and attentive throughout the process and stay. Always very available to help us both at check-in and check-out, they even sent a list of recommendations for the area! The house is even better live! Super clean and decorated with care and quality. We really felt at home! Mr. Manuel's family was also kind enough to welcome us with a delicious birthday cake, a gesture much appreciated by everyone (and especially by the birthday girl!). The whole property is very well kept, including the garden! The area is nice and easy to access with amenities nearby! I dare say it was one of the best accommodations we've ever stayed in as a family! We highly recommend it!

We spent 2 excellent nights at Vania's, a small haven of peace and serenity, all crowned with breathtaking views! Thanks to the host's thoughtful touches, such as the fresh bread left in front of the door in the morning. I recommend it without hesitating!
