Vacation rentals with a patio in Altdorf

The place is better than the photos! The apartment is in midst of a valley, Very peaceful and has beautiful surroundings. Sophia is very proactive in her communication and welcomed us with a beautiful message. Apartment was large enough to accommodate the 6 of us. It is beautifully decorated and has all the required amenities. Kitchen has also been thoughtfully stocked with all things required for a comfortable stay. Please note - this place is a little far from from the main train grid it is connected through a 20 min bus ride which runs every hour from morning till late night. We didn’t have any problem with this and the buses run on time.

My wife and I couldn’t believe what we were seeing as we drove up —absolutely stunning views that set the perfect tone for our stay. The drive to the home alone is worth mentioning, with breathtaking scenery all along the way. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately impressed by how spotless everything was, and the view from inside the home was just as incredible. The space has a modern cabin feel that was cozy and stylish. It’s incredibly peaceful, making it the perfect place to truly disconnect and unwind. Everything was comfortable and well-maintained; we didn’t have any issues during our stay. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and made it clear they were available if we needed anything, which made us feel even more at ease. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat with access to nature, there are some great hiking and biking trails nearby. We highly recommend this place and would definitely come back! We enjoyed this 2-night stopover. We came from Rome and what a difference in rhythm. Wonderful to be in the mountains. The area is beautiful and the beds were good. The apartment is fully equipped. A place to remember for a next vacation. Thanks Flavio!

We can recommend the accommodation without reservation. The village of Gersau is very sweet, located on the beautiful lake, all the people were very friendly, you can do a lot there. Lucerne can be reached in about 40 minutes by car. The place was very clean and nicely furnished, the terrace invited you to linger. The amenities were great, dish towels, dishwasher tabs, soap, a few spices and coffee capsules, etc. were available. Free parking is included. There is only a small minus in terms of the number of plates, glasses, etc. We felt very comfortable there.

Our stay with Bettina was amazing! She provided local recommendations for hikes and it was a very smooth process to check in. The convenience of the grocery store across the street and bus station was also very helpful since we did not rent a car. Another plus was that the kitchen was fully stocked with plates, forks, dishes. Everything was very clean. We would stay here again.

Livia's place is great, everything was spotless and comfortable. She gave us a crib with a cool gift for our daughter. The balcony has a beautiful view, and the apartment has everything you need to cook, wash clothes, etc. She was very helpful during our stay. Super recommend.

The Beckenreid home was a paradise- right from way before arriving, Corina was so amazing with her communication and help in any way. She picked me and dropped me , always checked to make sure I was safe. The little gestures- chocolates/ tea / coffee/ the flowers/ candles...all so heart warming. Her family too is the most beautiful and so friendly and always helpful The apartment, location surroundings lake and mountain views - Heaven on earth. Unfortunately, we only stayed a few hours at Adina and her family's house. We went back to the Netherlands by car the same evening because young children could sleep in the car. The house was a very nice stopover where we could really relax. It has all the comforts, a spacious beautiful garden and beautiful views! The children enjoyed playing in the garden. Adina and her husband are very hospitable, thank you again for the delicious wine! See you soon!

The host was super helpful and nice. The stay was pleasant I would only recommend that you take a car as it can be difficult to get around on foot.

This was a great, eventful week in a great house! The newly built wooden house is cozy, exudes the charm of a mountain hut - but is also modern and very comfortable. It doesn't get any better than that, you can't build a better accommodation like this! We took some hikes in the immediate vicinity (on Christoph's friendly recommendation) and can recommend the house and Christoph as a host without restriction. If we vacation at Lake Lucerne once again, we will certainly return here.

The Airbnb is beautiful and something very special! We really enjoyed the stay. Quiet, close to the lake, hotpot, grill and so many fresh herbs, everything you need! Emanuel was a great host, responded quickly and was able to answer our questions well. Thank you, we will definitely come again!

Our stay at Janine‘s home was beyond anything we could have imagined. The setting is heavenly. We hardly wanted to leave the house. The surrounding area is absolutely amazing for hiking, which was the purpose of our trip. Janine greeted us when we arrived and spoke with us in perfect English, which was very helpful. Janine was helpful all throughout our stay giving us hiking recommendations as well as local eateries! The pictures on the website absolutely do not do the home justice. Every single person we met in the area was beyond kind and friendly.

Judith's place feels like home!Clean and warm.My parents enjoyed their stay.There are cows and chickens in the farmhouse nearby, the neighbor's little orange cat ran into the garden, and I borrowed Judith's bike to go around the neighborhood.Very special experiences

Spectacular location and a house that matches.. we had a lovely time, very well designed and built house, takes fully advantage of the beautiful scenery out side, highly recommended.. PS.. this applies for only during May-June ‘25 as the road in front of the house is getting repaired, it is important to note that there is only walking access to the house. This means that guests will need to carry their luggage for certain sections of the route from the parking lot.. just to provide clarity there is no option to drag your wheeled luggage to the house, it will need to be carried. Just wanted to provide this clarity as I thought this was assumed by us.. although the host had communicated to use about the access but this aspect was not clarified.

I just experienced the best three nights of staying at an Airbnb. I would like to begin with how Andrea helped me plan my itinerary in Switzerland without even booking her place. She was so helpful in chalking out my plan, ways to get there, local recommendations, etc. Her house is magnificent, so tasteful. Her house feels like an ultra luxury stay with most amenities one might need. My kids were so happy with the toys, books play station at her place. The location of her place makes an excellent base to explore lot of neighbouring area in central Switzerland. She recommended some great local attractions which were a delight to visit. Her house is so serene located right next to an open field. I really enjoyed stargazing sitting outdoors sipping some lovely wine. I would rate this stay a 1000/10. I would choose to stay here over any five or seven star property. Her place is not just a stay but an Airbnb experience in itself. Will stay here again for sure.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The location was within easy walking distance of the train and ferry stations and the old town center. The view from the patio and living room was lovely. One day was rainy, but the covered parts of the patio and open doors from the living room made for relaxing lake and mountain views, even in the rain. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was handy for cooking a couple dinners, and the washing machine was small but convenient for a couple quick loads. Communication and check-in went smoothly. Highly recommended.

It was close to the station, so it was good for getting around. I went earlier than the check-in time, but I was able to rest because you kindly guided me. They paid attention to my mistakes with the washing machine and even took pictures and explained them in an easy-to-understand way. I had a good rest with my mom in a good location. Thank you:)♡

Beautiful apartment located right on the water. This was an amazing experience for my family. Had everything we needed and the beds were very comfy! We had an amazing time! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Amazing views and excellent location.

I really enjoyed this place.

Alessia was a wonderful and responsive host. She met us at check in and was very flexible with our arrival time. She helped us to get settled and immediately offered us some lunch recommendations and even helped us set up a boat tour to go on during our trip. Definitely ask her about this! The space was spotless and exactly as pictured. Parking was easy and free. One thing to note is that you should be prepared for the steep hill you need to climb to get back to the apartment! Do not underestimate it! But overall this was a lovely stay with an amazing host with GORGEOUS lake views and a huge balcony.

The area is really beautiful. They were two seperate rooms with a kitchen. The hosts were really friendly and also provided us with extra Ventilators due to the terrific heat. Over all, Nice stay.

The communication in advance was very friendly and the check-in was therefore easy and relaxed. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived. The apartment is great and we immediately felt very comfortable. Everything is well thought out and nothing is missing. I have rarely experienced this. We will be happy to come back and I can recommend this place 100%.
