Thank you to Matthew and the team for such a lovely stay. Matthew went above and beyond for the duration of our visit, even giving us a lift to the local winery. The villa was exactly as pictured and beautifully maintained. The host welcomed us with pastries and local delicacies, which were even topped up during our stay when the villa was serviced. Whilst in a peaceful and quaint location, a car is necessary to explore the island and all it has to offer. Public transport does exist but is infrequent and not always easy to understand. Definitely worth a trip to the traditional bakery located a few minutes walk from the villa. Although we had a fantastic time in the hot tub and pool, the hot tub could definitely have been hotter. Overall all I would recommend this to everyone, and we will certainly be returning to Doro Gold Villa! Thanks again! Emma and friends

A great ,spacious, quirky botique 3 bedroom apartment in the heart of the old city of Chania. Very clean with all the amenities, large comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. The good wifi and a washing machine were crucial for us. Best of all is the location which is on a lovely, narrow pedestrian cobblestone street in the old town. Restaurants galore and a 5 minute walk to the gorgeous harbor area. Of the 3 Crete cities ,Chania Rithymno, and Herakliona, Chania was the most beautiful and well kept. The best of the 3 to use as a base(We did day trips to the other two towns.) Gannis was abroad, but his friend Christina was so nice, and helpful .She met us where we parked the car and led us through the old town to the apartment.

Tolle Unterkunft in schöner Umgebung, wir haben es genossen jeden Tag für unser Müsli Orangen zu pflücken + auf unserer Terrasse zu essen. Leftéris war ein toller Gastgeber mit vielen guten Restauranttipps.

פאני היא אישה מקסימה והבית היה נוח ומפנק רגע מים נפלא. היו משחקים מוכנים לילדים וכל דבר שצריך לבישול. היי נו שתי משפחות ארבעה מבוגרים שלושה ילדים ושתי תינוקות והיה לנו הכי נוח. פאני דאגה להכל והעיירה הייתה נוחה עם מסעדות טובות וחנות יין קטנה עם הענבים מקומיים. מאוד מאוד ממליצה 🩷

Une charmante petite maison avec vue sur la mer ! Un petit endroit tranquille pour visiter le nord ouest de l’île. Nous avons bénéficié d’excellents conseils de visites et de restaurants. La maison est à quelques minutes en voiture d’un grand supermarché. Nous recommandons fortement !

10 out of 10! This villa was absolutely perfect for our week in Chania! Clean and spacious, plus a very nice pool that’s kept at the perfect temperature for swims at any time of the day. Lia was so lovely and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be staying here when we return.

Anemole is a very special place! It is a beautiful house in a stunning location. It is close to Chania and beaches galore, if that’s what you want. Or you can simply relax and soak up the views and the abundant nature. We spent happy hours on the terrace listening to the birdsong, bee hum, goat bells and church bells. A highlight was watching a lesser kestrel preen on the wires 20m from the terrace. The house has a rustic charm but has all the necessary modern conveniences - wifi, ac, big wetroom style bathroom. The private pool was a bonus for a refreshing dip. Special mention to the lovely Stelios who gave us such a warm welcome despite our delayed arrival (George’s prompt communication meant the flight delay was merely a hitch, not a calamity!). Stelios had treats in the fridge waiting for us and introduced us to the neighbouring cats (who visited us every evening on the terrace for headbutts and chin scritches). We are already planning our return trip!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce logement ! L’appartement est spacieux, décoré avec goût et très bien entretenu. Tout était parfaitement propre à notre arrivée. La literie est confortable, la cuisine est entièrement équipée (vaisselle, cafetière, four, etc.), et il y a même des petites attentions comme du café et quelques produits de base, ce qui est très appréciable. Le quartier est calme et agréable, tout en étant proche des commerces, des restaurants et des plages. L’hôte a été exceptionnel : très réactif, disponible pour répondre à nos questions, et chaleureux dans sa communication. On sent qu’il tient vraiment à ce que ses voyageurs passent un bon moment. Nous recommandons ce logement sans hésiter et reviendrons avec plaisir si l’occasion se présente !

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. Four friends and I stayed in this rustic, charming, beautiful and overall homie space for 7 days while we attending a wedding and we all unanimously could not have been more happy! This is a space that you feel so great walking into over and over. I had the best meal of my life with the entire party literally around the corner… maybe 20 steps and we were all in glee. The entire area in old town is gorgeous. You cannot see it any other way. There is a vibe to match your needs somewhere around another corner no matter what you look for on your trip. Shopping was excellent. The feeling of safety was consistent throughout the trip. People are friendly and common throughout the town even throughout the wee morning hours as many places do stay open quite late to always provide an option. I had said by day 1 I knew I would already come back here. Vassilis was a proactive and responsive gentleman in hosting. Truly a pleasure to deal with him and I really do hope to return for vacation. This is a stunning home in a great neighbourhood with a host who is an absolute 10/10! The house was even better than expected as a couple more bathrooms were added recently so there are now four. Host met us at the property, showed us around and gave extensive recommendations for all things Chania and Crete! The pool is just perfect for lounging or a dip in the evening after a hot day exploring beautiful Chania & Crete. I’d suggest you must have a car to get to and from the property as it is in a residential area however I think for Crete in general you need a car. Definitely one of the best Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in, top to bottom. Don’t even hesitate booking this place!

Andreas und Georgia waren unglaublich gastfreundlich, hilfsbereit und immer erreichbar, wenn man Fragen hatte. Gleichzeitig haben sie einem aber auch alle Freiheiten gelassen. Besonders schön fand ich die kleinen persönlichen Aufmerksamkeiten, die den Aufenthalt wirklich besonders gemacht haben. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen und kann die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für alles – ihr seid fantastische Gastgeber!

Nice place with lakeside view. Many ootions foe breakfast and dinner in the village (only a five minute deive away).

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful and private villa with a truly spectacular ocean view. The perfect setup for our extended family (6 adults and 2 small children), offering plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy. The bedrooms were comfortable with en suite bathrooms. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook at home. The kids especially loved the pool and all the toys available. We enjoyed local meals at Maxis Yard (a charming spot in the nearby village with pottery and homemade food) and Fisalida, which has a stunning ocean view. Both within walking distance. Grocery shopping was easy with both Lidl and the village shops close by. Our host went above and beyond—meeting us for check-in during Easter holiday and even doing grocery shopping for us beforehand as everything was closed. He surprised us with homemade dinner of delicious moussaka and Greek salad, which made us feel so welcomed. We left feeling relaxed and very tempted to return one day.

The house is simply gorgeous. Our family had a wonderful Christmas holiday here. The host was very generous with items in the refrigerator and a well stocked kitchen. Lots of recommendations of places to eat in the area. Michael met us in the driveway upon arrival and showed us everything in the house, that was very kind. Especially loved access to the washer and dryer because we were traveling with kids. It was too cold to use the pool, but if you are here when it is warm, it would be such delight.

Wir hätten uns den Aufenthalt nicht schöner vorstellen können. Ein absolutes Stück Paradies, ganz privat mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht. Wahrlich einzigartig! Die Unterkunft hat alles, was man braucht. Eine sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, sodass man selber kochen und grillen kann. Alles ist sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl! Stella und ihr Ehemann sind unglaublich herzliche, gastfreundliche Menschen. Zu jeder Zeit haben sie ihre Hilfe angeboten und den Aufenthalt zu etwas Besonderem gemacht. Sie überraschten uns gleich zwei Mal mit leckeren selbstgemachten Speisen, stellten Wasser, Obst und Frühstück bereit. Wir werden die beiden und den Ort nicht mehr vergessen und kommen sicher wieder. ❤️ Wir können diese Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen!

We spent the most lovely time at Nikos place with our baby and friends. The villa is located directly by the sea with a spectacular view. We enjoyed really enjoyed our breakfasts watching the waves and listening to the ocean so much. The place is very quiet and private. Nikos is the most welcoming host and gave us great directions for the island. We can definitely recommend staying there! Thank you so much for having us.

10/10 experience. Breathtaking views and sunset from the balcony, perfect location right on the harbor - surrounded by all of the best restaurants and places. The apartment is beautiful - clean, modern, great appliances. (The washing machine even uses AI). The apartment is spacious, comfortable, and despite being in the middle of the action, it is so peaceful. I didn’t want to leave. I will be back here again. The hosts were incredible. Kind, helpful, proactive, and made such a nice experience for us. Thank you!!!!!

You’ll have a nice stay here. Lilit’s mum checked us in and the place was spotless. Downstairs has a kitchen/living area, a bathroom with a bath/shower, and three bedrooms. Each bedroom has air-con and two bedrooms have balconies. The kitchen/living area has air-con and the bathroom has a clothes washing machine. Upstairs has a kitchen/living area and a bathroom with a shower. The kitchen/living area has air-con. The upstairs tv is a dumb tv and the downstairs tv is a smart tv. Toilet roll can’t be flushed in either bathroom, as is standard in Crete. Both kitchens have a sink, hob, oven, fridge/freezer, kettle, coffee machine, dishwasher, pots, pans, crockery. The host left us water, fruit and wine. The parking area has gates, which are controlled by a fob. You have to drive up a hill to get to the property. Bins are at the bottom of the hill. Taverna Irene is walking distance and has nice food and wine and cats! I’d recommend hiring an automatic car because Crete is hilly.

Spotlessly clean and well equipped.Beautifully finished modern apartment. Gina was always very quick to respond. Convenient for exploring this part of Crete.

Wij verbleven met zeven vrienden vijf nachten in deze prachtige villa en het was een geweldige ervaring. Vanaf het moment van aankomst werden we hartelijk ontvangen door de gastvrouw, die ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam was. Ze was erg proactief en kwam met veel handige tips over de omgeving, wat ons verblijf nog leuker maakte. De villa zelf is echt top: ruim, schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. De bedden lagen heerlijk en we hebben allemaal goed geslapen. Het uitzicht vanaf de villa is adembenemend – vooral in de avonduren is het echt genieten geblazen! Een kleine aanrader voor toekomstige gasten, advies om het zwembad te laten verwarmen. Dit zou het verblijf nóg aangenamer maken. Doordat de villa op een berg ligt, kan het soms flink waaien, waardoor het water wat fris aanvoelt. Al met al hebben we enorm genoten van ons verblijf. Een absolute aanrader voor groepen die op zoek zijn naar comfort, rust en een gastvrije ontvangst!
