Monthly Rentals in Allithwaite

A superb gem of a place. Cloistered in a small collection of beautiful farm buildings converted to accommodation. Easy parking, quiet, scenic, well equipped, comfortable, warm, and cosy. We stayed for a month and never had a moment’s trouble. Victoria and Simon were friendly, helpful, and responsive. There’s a village shop about a 10 minute walk away which stocks all the essentials, and supermarkets about a half hour or so away. An idyllic place.

Perfect place to rest weary Kiwis after a long flight. We only stayed one night but would certainly consider Clare’s place for a longer stay. It was well set up and spacious. We enjoyed sitting in the back garden on arrival and taking in the last of the light from the upstairs balcony. The half hour walk to and from Cartmel was just great to stretch the legs and work off the pub supper. Thumbs up all round.

Great short stay, didn’t have long in the actual accommodation but great location for anyone wanting a peaceful escape with easy access to the Lakes without all the tourists.

The cottage itself was cozy and well-equipped, with thoughtful touches like welcome biscuits and books to read, even ones for the children. The living area was comfortable, and both bedrooms were clean and nicely furnished. The bathroom is decorated beautifully and the shower is nice and powerful. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay, though the dining area was a bit snug for five people. Overall, it’s a great spot for couples or small families looking for a relaxing break with nature right on the doorstep. We'd happily return!
