Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Ålesund

Marion’s place is a little slice of heaven! Such an amazing view over the fjord, this rustic yet cosy, comfortable home has with everything we needed… (including fluffy towels- a very welcome change!) We enjoyed some down time from our busy holiday schedule, and loved soaking up the location - from coffee by the lounge windows,; a read on the patio, cozying up with blankets. Marion has truly thought of enerything. The laundry in the bathroom is probably the most functional one we’ve had on out travels. A quick 10 min drive to town too to cafes and supermarket, and of course the gondola for amazing fjord views Lastly , Marion was a lovely responsive host, very helpful with local recommendations. If we ever find ourselves in this part of the world - we will definitely stay again!

We loved staying here! The house was the perfect size and so cozy. The view was amazing and the proximity to hikes and Runde island to see the puffins were perfect. Check in was easy and the host is very responsive and helpful. It had everything you needed and felt like being at home, If home was overlooking a fjord and mountains! Would definitely stay here again I absolutely loved it!

We have traveled so many countries and stayed in places and yet we truly have no words to explain how beautiful this location and the home is. It is beautiful beyond our words can explain. Flo Bellvue is one of the places I see my self coming back over and over with my family. It was more than big enough for our 3 families with kids. Monica and Vidar have paid so much attention to the details. We felt so home, our kids had the best time of their life, whether it was going outside to play, riding bicycles through the orchards and hills or going down by the water. Our day and evening walks will be the most memorable and this beautiful place will be in our memory forever. Thank you to Monica and Vidar for giving so many people an opportunity to experience this gem.

Egil’s home was a beautiful and comfortable haven in the middle of the most stunning scenery my family and I have ever seen. Waking up to that breathtaking view each day was really special. In spite of the constantly changing weather on the fjord in May, we were still able to enjoy sitting outside and enjoying the hot tub at the end of a day hiking. Egil provided us with so much good information and was always available to answer questions. He went out of his way to make a reservation for us at Christian Gaard for dinner, which was another unforgettable experience. We highly recommend doing this. Thanks so much Egil for everything. , We would love to return someday!

Lars and Elizabeth have been most responsive and helpful. Their home was beautiful and 100% as per the description. I walked up to Aksla from their backyard, took the 408 steps down to city center then another 15mins walk from city center back to the apartment, it was an enjoyable 2hr trip in total.

We had a great stay at this lovely place just outside the center of Ålesund. The apartment is spacious and comes with a nice patio that gets the evening sun — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. We really liked the charming, classic-style kitchen, and the bed was very comfortable. One thing to note is that the apartment is a bit sound-sensitive — we could hear people walking in the apartment above — but it wasn’t a major issue for us. Stine was a wonderful host — very friendly and quick to respond to any questions.

Excellent accommodation, very pleasant, easy communication with William Fredrik. Everything is quiet and the whole place is well-equipped, as described and very clean. The value is quite favorable. Very well located accommodation provided you have a car. But a bus service exists to reach Alesund.

Helge’s place is beautiful in a great location. Great communication and answered all our questions promptly. Perfect place to stay if you want to be near the center and rest at home.

What a great beautiful apartment with fantastic views. The apartment is spacious with a nice terrace with panoramic views. The beds are nice. The kitchen and bathroom are also nice and there is everything you could need to prepare a simple meal. Communication was good, we didn't see each other 'live' but that wasn't necessary either. We enjoyed it, thank you so much!

This was our second stay with Jon Robert & Anna. It is a beautiful place across a small road from the lake with mountain views - including views of waterfalls & the glacier. The apartment is decorated with personal touches, making you feel like you are at home. There are MANY things to do just a drive away. Ålesund is only an hour away. We also drove to Runde (the famous bird island) from here. Jon Robert has a printed guide book with exact routes on driving tours of the area. He is so helpful and friendly. The apartment is very clean, and in very good condition.

Sarah’ apartment was so clean and tidy and the bedrooms were so well equipped, but most of all the beds were so comfortable, so a great nights sleep. All in all the apartment was very large for what I needed it for and would recommend Sarah’s apartment to anyone, I had the best time and looking forward to hiring it out again next year.

Highly recommended. I had a wonderful stay. You can’t beat the location and the apartment was in pristine condition. I would stay here again!

Robert's place is very nice - it's a separate flat in a larger family house, with separate entrance from the garden. Located in a very calm, quiet residential area, with a supermarket and bus stops to and from Alesund center very close. The apartment has a kitchen/living room, a bedroom with big, comfy bed and a bathroom. All the amenities are there - electric kettle, microwave, oven, even a washing machine which is useful for those staying for longer. The apartment is well kept and clean. There is a small, quiet garden outside, with a bench! Great for evening relaxation. Communication with Robert is excellent, he responds very quickly and in a very friendly manner. In short, we loved his place and I think we were lucky that it was available for our stay.

This is a really lovely space, I very much enjoyed my time here. Wonderful location it’s central but peaceful and quiet with a nice view of the mountains. The apartment has everything you need and it was nice and clean, and the shower gets hot immediately and has great water pressure which I really loved! Would definitely stay here again.

We have had a wonderful weekend in this cozy apartment. Everything was as described. Very good bed!

Very convenient apartment, great location and a beautiful view over Borgundgavlen. Sjur was a helpful host, who gave clear instructions and provided a clean apartment with all necessities. Will happily return next time!

Spacious apartment with everything you need. Very nice view on a large terrace. It was a lovely stay.

We have been to Randi's for the second time and are still thrilled. You come into the apartment and feel at home. There are loving details everywhere. The kitchen is well equipped. Everything is sparkling clean. It's the best place around to get to the puffins. Great parking included. We look forward to the 3rd stay at Randi's :-)
