Cottage vacation rentals in Alberta

Karina’s cottage was just as she described it. It was warm and inviting and we felt at home as soon as we walked in through the door. There was absolutely nothing that we needed! We didn’t bring a dog, but Karina has everything you could possibly need if you did bring your furry companion. The beds were comfortable and sitting by the wood stove at night was heaven. The views from the cottage were incredible! We are hoping to go back in the summer and would recommend this place to anyone.

My husband and I had such a wonderful stay at Heart Haven! We highly recommend! The place was cozy and had perfect beach home vibes. We took advantage of the hot tub and games. Stayed cozy by the fire pit and enjoyed breakfast at the outdoor patio table. It was perfect spot, near the lake but not right in the hustle and bustle. The house amenities and provided supplies really made it easier for us to get through our weekend and made us feel like we were at home. We found near by scooters and rode around. They were very handy just to go to the corner store or go towards the lake for a walk. Many great restaurants around. We recommend trying the 2nd Wind Brewery and Sun of a Beach. We had amazing dishes at both places. Buck Wildz is always a great time as well! Highly recommend Heart Haven!! Thanks again Anita and Marc for being great hostesses!!

Lovely spot, such a beautiful view. The home was comfortable and welcoming. The hosts were very responsive and were happy to assist! Great place!!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. The views from the balcony were stunning and the house was close to the lake. Diana was very responsive and made everything easy!

We had a fantastic stay at Ryan's house by the lake! The property was peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained. Waking up to the view of the water every morning was a dream. The house had everything we needed — from a well-equipped kitchen to cozy beds and thoughtful touches throughout. Ryan was a great host — responsive, helpful, and respectful of our privacy. Whether relaxing on the deck, enjoying the lake, or just sitting by the fire-pit in the evening, this place gave us the perfect mix of comfort and nature. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and scenic escape. We’d love to come back again!

We had the most amazing time in this beautiful cabin! The pictures do not do it justice of how beautiful the surroundings are! We felt immediately at home and enjoyed every bit of it. And Lisa is the absolute sweetest host, responds super fast and is committed to her guests having the best time:) Thanks again Lisa we will be back!:)

5 Stars! Whitney’s place was absolutely perfect! She is incredibly flexible and very accommodating, making the whole stay stress-free and comfortable. The house itself is extremely clean, beautifully maintained, and feels like a true home away from home. Even though it’s a 30-40 minute drive to Downtown Kelowna, it’s 100% worth it for the peace, comfort, and quality you get. I’ll definitely stay here again whenever I’m back in Kelowna. Highly recommend!

Thank you so much for hosting us in your beautiful space. We really appreciated that we could bring our dog along!! The purpose of our stay was to attend a celebration of life and Trevor was incredibly accommodating. It was a perfect place to bring friends together and create lasting memories.

Private and quiet space to spend the weekend at. 10min drive to the town that you dont need to bring everything. We will definitely come back again. Thank you Sarah.

Raeanne’‘s place was great. When we arrived, we were welcomed by deer. The house was exactly as described and the kitchen was well stocked. The bird song in the morning is amazing. Absolutely gorgeous. The hosts were available when needed, but did not in any way impose on our privacy. Would definitely stay there again.

We had the most amazing time. Megan was wonderful and went above and beyond. Our month long stay was just what we wanted - beautiful views, time with each other, family and friends, enjoyed walks and runs and bike rides, the best restaurant ever at the ECO academy, especially their wine night. Roomy, modern, super comfortable beds. Nice kitchen, beautiful patio and backyard. Love the fire pit. We both work from home and that worked well in the space. We are runners and there was plenty of great places to run which was fantastic. I highly recommend staying at the cabin for an awesome getaway.

Awesome cabin right on Jewel lake. We rented it for a couple days to spend time ice fishing and visiting with near by grand-parents. Would definitely recommend! Exactly what we needed. Thank you Al.

The place itself is amazing, the lake is right there for you to enjoy and Aita left all the tools you need to do so which is very much welcome! We had a lot of fun, exploring nearby areas as well not just the lake However, a word of caution and I know this is probably outside the host’s control is that the neighbours from the big white house just before Aita’s place can be very loud and not considerate of others trying to enjoy it The houses are very close to each other and a couple of the nights that neighbour was operating some machines, maybe an ATV? Snowmobile? Not sure but it was extremely loud and woke us all up at 11pm Moreover their dog kept coming after our dogs, which are protective of their place of sleep, so we couldn’t enjoy the lake with our dogs because they were bigger and we were afraid of something bad happening Also they used Aita’s tools without even knowing who was the owner, I know because they asked if I was the owner (??) when giving the boat back

The description in Kris’s add and the emailed instructions were great. Her cabin is decorated so cutely with a huge gazebo in the back which was fantastic for staying out of the wind. We did have a water issue but when brought to Kris’s attention she explained she had never run into this before with previous guests and I do believe it was beyond her control to remedy the situation until she could investigate further as to the cause. That being said I feel that she wasn’t happy that we weren’t 100% satisfied and did provide compensation to us in order to right a wrong that she had no control over. Would I refer or recommend Kris’s property to friends or family absolutely. Thank you for being such a gracious, accommodating and conscientious host. Ps thank you for the goodies you left my granddaughter loved them. Carla

The house had everything we needed! The pictures were accurate, everything was clean, and the beds were all very comfortable. We had a couple questions once we checked in, about the ping pong table and the barbecue, and Lauren was very quick to reply. She was always friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend!

Andrew is an amazing host. We stayed at one of his beautiful cabins for over 2 months as we needed a place stay for work in the Grande Prairie area for that period of time. Andrew checked in regularly and was always very helpful. I would definitely recommend staying there to anyone that likes the peaceful feeling of living in the countryside.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Crackling wood stove, gorgeous views, farm animals, a cozy cabin. What more could one ask for? Oh maybe the excellent breakfast basket and Doris' wonderful and friendly way of hosting us. We were so impressed with what the family has built on the property and hope we will have a chance to come back.

Pearl was wonderful! She really prioritized our visit and was extremely accommodating! I would highly recommend this location and host!

I took my boys here for spring break just as an out of town getaway. It was exactly what we needed, even though it snowed the whole time. We definitely want to come back next winter and enjoy some ice fishing.

This lovely blue cabin was just what I needed for my visit with family. It provided a comfy bed for a good night sleep to rejuvenate me for another day full of play with my three grandsons. It was easy to find, close to the highway and yet so quiet and peaceful. It truly was just a short 3-minute walk to Gaia Tree--a fabulous organic food store, and to Mama Sita's cafe which had free wifi. Thanks for making your place available to me.

Wonderful place to stay. Lots of trails at your doorstep. The space was extremely clean and we felt right at home. Jen was also very responsive and great to deal with. I’d highly recommend this place for a nice getaway.

The place was super cute. The house was clean and tidy and just like the pictures and descriptions. Courtney and Denise were responsive and available when we had questions. We ran out of cooking oil and they came by to drop some off which was super appreciated! House was cute and we appreciated the welcome gift and the extra little touches. Loved the bathroom probably as it was spacious and was a little oasis with the lovely tub. Would definitely recommend and come back again.

This gem has everything you need for your stay in Sylvan Lake. So many amenities, we didn’t even get to use them all this quick trip. Great location 5 minute walk to main strip. There is a pharmacy, convenience store and liquor store very nearby as well. Host is super responsive and uber helpful. We will be coming back.
