Our homey mountain retreat used to be my grandparents' place and has been completely renovated just recently. We wanted to preserve the snug and cosy traditional atmosphere with a combination of traditional furniture and a more modern almost minimalistic kind of interior. We kept parts of the traditional furniture and a beautiful collection of my granddad's handcarved portraits on the ground floor and combined it with bright wood and white on the first floor to leaven the atmosphere.

I was looking for affordable place to stay near Saalbach-Hinterglemm during the FIS alpine world championship. I found it at Hans´s place. Hans and Corrine were great hosts, Hans picked me up with his car when I arrived to the train stationand gave me good recommendations about the local bus transport. His house is Schuttdorf - 5 minutes by bus from the Zell am See tran station. Room and facilities were very clean. There is a breakfast in the morning (included in the price). The neighborhood is very quiet, and you need 5-10 minutes by bus to reach Zell am See (depends where are you going to). Nearest bus station is 8 minutes of waking from Hans´s house. If you are looking for affordable place to eat, I can recommend grill pub Papa Joes which is 10 minutes of walking from Hans´s house. Big and tasty pizzas,burgers and sausages. It looks pretty ordinary from the outside, but the quality of food, portion size and price is great for such an expensive destination as Zell am See is.

Es war alles wie beschrieben. Sehr schöne Unterkunft und alles sehr gut zu erreichen. Der Zug ist meiner Meinung nach sogar eine schneller und bessere Alternative um zum Lift zu kommen. Somit hat man mit dem Bus und Zug 2 gute Alternativen. In der Umgebung ist alles was man benötigt, von einkaufen, bis Restaurants. Wir waren sehr zufrieden

Wszystko było najlepiej. Gospodarze byli przekochani, cały czas dyspozycyjni i pomocni. Apartament był bardzo ładny, czysty i przede wszystkim dobrze wyposażony. Skibus i przystanek pod apartamentem, dostępność do najlepszych miejsc narciarskich. Polecam z całego serca, na pewno jeszcze odwiedzimy to miejsce i tych wspaniałych gospodarzy!

Cosy apartment near to ski lift

We had a wonderful stay! Christina and Peter were fantastic hosts— very kind and responsive. The accommodation was great, conveniently located close to the ski slopes, with restaurants nearby and supermarkets offering a variety of choices. The apartment was well-equipped with the necessary appliances, incl hairdryer, toaster, coffee machine, and a washer-dryer. Our kids loved the bunk bed! A small note: the unfolding bed creaks, and we noticed some mold in the bathroom and near the balcony. CAUTION NOTE: We experienced an theft incident when checking out. While my husband was loading 2 suitcases to the car - 10 metres from the building, he left two big bags of food (cookies, waffles, fruits, veggies, etc.) on a bench INSIDE the building. Within just a few minutes, they disappeared. A local resident mentioned that similar happened before there. The hosts were very supportive despite being unable to assist from afar. We did not call the police as were short of time.

Markus et sa famille sont des hôtes très accueillants, attentionnés, accessibles aisément et toujours de bon conseil. L'appartement et le lieu de résidence est impeccable de propreté. La région est magnifique, paisible et pleine de randonnées extraordinaires. Un excellent souvenir, merci pour tout !
