Had a lovely stay with friends! Lots to do nearby but can also drive a little further to Lake Windermere. The caravan was warm, cosy and clean
The image shows the textured, stone exterior of a cottage with a soft pink lower section. A single, arched window with white framing provides a glimpse of the interior, alongside a terracotta pot positioned against the wall, adding an earthy element to the scene.

Kings Head: 2 Bedroom Countryside Cottage

RobinRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful 3 nights in the Kings Head cottage. The lounge area is as stunning and unique as the pictures suggest! We chose a weekend that coincided with the tasting menu and Sunday lunch and would highly recommend both. The produce was local and lots from their stunning garden. The breakfasts were superb featuring fresh rhubarb from the garden and best pastry ever tried! Everyone was friendly and helpful and our dog was made to feel very welcome too! Enjoyed two local pubs called blacksmith’s arms and farmer’s arms on our other 2 evenings - both great. Enjoyed a long hike up from the hidden duddon valley which was a lovely quiet route to Dow Crag and coniston old man (only downside was the 30 min drive to our starting point). Local nice walks from the cottage included heathwaite fell and duddon sands.

Loved staying at Craig and Helens cottage, it was immaculate, everything you needed was available. Was a fab base for exploring the area and the lake district, cosy and peaceful when returning in the evening. Would highly recommend 😊

A handwritten note captures a celebration of a birthday weekend. The message expresses gratitude, with the names Joe and Molly prominently featured. Beneath the text, a simple heart sketch adds a personal touch to the page, set against the texture of a wooden surface.

We stayed at Harry's place for just one night but wished it was for longer after getting a feel for the place. The accommodation is beautifully designed with brilliant features in every corner. We had everything we needed at the cottage and Harry is a fab communicator giving us lots of helpful information. The town itself was buzzing with interesting characters and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Ulverston and can't wait to return.

Apartment, King or Twin, free Off-street parking

MichaelRating, 5 stars10 months ago
I was looking for a good value for money place to use as a base to go off walking and cycling around Coniston and Grizedale. This fitted the bill for me. Easy to park, couple of pubs within walking distance. Drive to Coniston is about 15 mins but lots of other places in easy reach. Broughton is a very quiet little town but there is butchers/greengrocers and bakery 2 minute walk from apartment so easy to get supplies plus nice to support local businesses.

Wayside Cottage 1637, in the western Lake District

JeffRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Had a fantastic long weekend here with the wife and dog. Location is far enough away to relax in the quiet, but within a reasonable drive of the main spots in the Lake District. Cottage is lovely and the enclosed garden was appreciated by our nervous dog. Emiko was a great host, and we appreciated everything that had been prepared for us. Would definitely look to stay again in the future!

Sledbank a luxury, romantic cottage with hot tub

BeckyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Beautiful little, self contained, cottage which has been immaculately refurbed and decorated. The place was extremely clean and tidy. Lovley touch of home made flapjacks on arrival. Very isolated which was what we were looking for. Can walk to the beach, which we did, or up Black Combe, which we didn't. Would definitely recommend this place for a short break to explore the Lake District or a romantic hideaway.

Atelier an enchanting French studio

PhilipRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our stay in the Atelier was incredible! Emma has a truly special place, with an immaculate garden. The place itself is beautiful, like staying in a scene from a period drama but with enough modern tweaks to make the stay convenient. She and Craig very kindly leave out vegetables leftover from their garden, samples of their own honey, and eggs from their chickens, which were all incredible. There was also a delightful welcome gift of gin, jams and brownies waiting for us when we arrived. All in all, it was the perfect place for a relaxing long-weekend, if we are ever in the area again I'm sure we'll end up trying to book again!
