Cliff-top Coastguard's Cottage, an Off-Grid Escape

The Coastguard Cottages at Weybourne are perched on the cliff-top on the Norfolk Coast Path, with uninterrupted views of the surrounding fields and sea. The terrace was built in 1904 and to this day has no mains electricity, reflecting the handsome, solid utility of their original purpose. We have owned number 4 for over 20 years and have always delighted in escaping off-grid. We love the house, the views, swimming in the sea and letting our children run beyond calling distance. Benbow Cottage, Blakeney: a few steps from the sea

A minutes walk from the quay, accommodation for the discerning guest looking for comfort in a tasteful, relaxing environment. The cottage has been renovated with a gorgeous contemporary feel throughout. Close to local eateries, the sea, and local wildlife, it is great for couples and families (dogs welcome). Heating and hot water are switched on. Wood for the burner is provided from October to the end of March. We also supply bath products, milk, tea, coffee and a bottle of wine on arrival.

The living areas of the house are South facing, private, and have a fabulous view over a lovely garden and across open fields to Kelling Heath. Steam trains chug across your field of vision.

It is located less than two minutes' walk from Sheringham's glorious sandy beach (hence the name Stones Throw) and has sea views from two of the three bedrooms. The house has ramp access to the front door and a downstairs bedroom and shower room providing a safe, comfortable stay for anyone with accessibility needs.
