what a great little place the Anchorage is, such a quirky place to stay ( not very wheelchair accessible) perfect place to chill and relax on the small balcony with a great view, then after the sunset..drop downstairs to your private hot tub.The added bonus of the pub next door ( so quiet never heard a thing) such a friendly pub too , great meeting with the locals who were all friendly.Tony and Jane were the perfect hosts, there if you needed anything but never bothered you, great with them living so close... definitely recommend this property to anyone.

We stayed here for one night when visiting Durham - it was perfect. From the moment we stepped foot through the front door, it felt like home. The property was exactly as described and had everything we needed. If visiting the area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again.

Beautifully presented house, spotlessly clean, easy to find and check-in. It was a flying visit for a uni open day but we would definitely stay again. Steve and Jane were really communicative and I wouldn’t have hesitated to get in touch if I’d needed to.

Lovely and calm apartment, very clean and well stocked, and had everything we needed for a 1 night stay while we were in the area to attend a wedding. The record player and nice selection of classical LPs was a great touch! Check in was super easy and with a personal touch, we picked up the keys from Fiona in their cycle shop downstairs, she was lovely! Easy parking close to the flat and short walking distance to the Market Square and Auckland Project museums. Really nice experience overall!
