Vacation rentals with lake access in Westerkwartier

A beautiful, cozy house right on the canal, which was furnished with a lot of love for detail and has everything you need. Communication was easy, friendly and fast. Even before arrival, Connie provided us with all the important information. Despite bad weather, we (8 people) had plenty of space in the house. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely come again!

We had a wonderful stay at this fantastic house! It is really perfectly appointed – everything you need is there, and it is super clean and spacious. The house is a real retreat to relax with lots of great extras such as the boat, whirlpool and perfectly equipped kitchen. The location is just ideal and our children felt very comfortable there – they even fell asleep quickly, which speaks for the comfort. Overall an absolute dream that we would book again at any time. Highly recommended!

We were there with 5 adults and a dog and everything worked out great. And that the bicycles could also be stored in the shed was good. We would definitely book again!

We had a great week at Geert's place. The location is great for bike tours in the area. In general, this area is definitely worth a trip. The property is fantastically beautiful on a small lake. Typical Dutch cottage – charming, cozy and exactly as described. We felt very comfortable. The only small point: we would have found a microwave practical sometimes. The location is ideal as a starting point for bike tours in all directions. Highly recommend for those seeking tranquility and nature!

Great place, very clean and cozy, you felt right at home in the chalet. The location was a bit isolated and you had to drive longer for activities/shopping because there wasn't much going on there. In terms of price, unfortunately, it's just a little too expensive for all the possibilities. All in all, we still had a few great days together & I thank you dear Nicole for the uncomplicated conversation. ☀️❤️

We had a short vacation with two children. The accommodation has enough space for a family of 4. The rooms were all clean. You have everything you need. And we had felt like at home. In the garden there is a nice sauna and a large hot tub. The sauna is worth the money in our opinion. And we were allowed to enjoy the hot tub to the fullest with the wood provided to us free of charge. The surroundings and a very nice playground also leave nothing to be desired. I'm sure we'll be back. Thank you and all the best!

Apartment "De Beuk" is very nice with a beautiful view over the water. The interior is modern and what we really liked are the details that made us feel welcome: capsules for the Nespresso machine, filter coffee and tea bags with different types of tea. The communication with hostess Nynke prior to and during the stay was open, cheerful, friendly and clear. This also applies to reception and departure. The family's rental company on the ground floor for kayaks, motorboats, sleds and bicycles makes making an active trip very easy.

Our Airbnb host, Jan Adema, welcomed us with genuine warmth and hospitality. Jan comes from a long line of local family business owners, and you can feel that sense of tradition and pride in every detail of the home. The bedroom felt like a suite in a luxury hotel — spotless, cozy, and beautifully styled, with a personal touch that made the experience even more special (we especially loved the unique painting above the bed). But what truly sets this place apart is the atmosphere of calm. If you're looking to disconnect and reconnect — with nature, your thoughts, or your loved ones — this is the place. Had a very nice stay here during our weekend in Earnewâld. The studio is very clean, cozy and comfortable. The beds are also well laid out! Beautiful surroundings to enjoy, lots of birds, boating is a must! Jan was an incredibly friendly and accessible host. Very welcoming. Thank you and see you next time!

Beautiful place in surprising location. Ideal as a base to discover Eastermar and the rest of Friesland. Marten and his family are super welcoming and helpful. The location and the apartments are pearls in the cap. The whole family is working hard to make this place even more beautiful. Robert is a very kind host. The accommodation looks cozy, is clean and with a lovely large garden on the lake. Breakfast was various good! Glad we could leave the trailer for the surfboard until after the competitions in the garden. In short, a very nice place to spend time.

What a peaceful place to stay! Spotless and cozy, tastefully decorated. Quiet and right on the water. The Hollema family were all so friendly and generous with their time and knowledge. Rent a canoe, kayak, or motorboat from them—you won’t regret. Charming village with nice grocery store and restaurant all around the corner. Heaven!

To our lovely host Diet. She was excellent and very responsive. At the beginning it was little confusing about getting there but when we arrived it was very easy to find. It was excellent and peaceful for our family stay. We were aloud to use bikes so that helped us a lot for good shopping. Canoe rides were excellent. I think we cannot picked better spot for us. Neighbours were super friendly and welcomed us with smiles and fantastic attitude. We will for sure come back. 😊 Diet- thank you for having us 😊

Highly recommend! Staying at this Airbnb was just amazing! The place was exactly as described in the pictures – clean, stylishly decorated and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. By bike or car you can quickly get to Groningen, where you can do numerous activities! Our highlight was the hot tub, which was used diligently. We would come back.

Niels & Anniek were great hosts. Always helpful & quick to respond. Their place is perfect, so peaceful & relaxing with all the facilities you need. Nature on your door step. Only a short walk to the bus stop & a short bus ride if you need the bright lights of Groningen… I would definitely stay again.

We had wonderful days with Tineke and family as a family of three. Great area to spend an active vacation (preferably on the bike) or to find peace and relaxation in the house and sauna in bad weather.
