Enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the many birds in the surrounding trees or be a little more adventurous with the numerous local cycle routes. We look forward to meeting you on your stay. ‘Bertha’ is a 1947 restored Showman’s Wagon. Set in its own private garden, surrounded by secluded, beautiful, AONB countryside, situated between the villages of Cheddar and Draycott. The site is an ideal retreat for nature lovers, walkers, or those who wish to enjoy and explore the Mendips, the Somerset Levels, Wells, Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole and more. Further afield, Cheddar, Wells, Glastonbury and the sea are all within easy reach. Doris our shepherds hut

Doris our shepherd's hut is nestled in our paddock and meadow on the Somerset levels and has lovely views over neighbouring fields. It is close but not too close to our other hut Daphne and our annexe room Huberts. We are keen to encourage flora and fauna and manage the paddock accordingly. We are situated on the outskirts of a small village and the edge of the Somerset levels. We are ideally situated for sightseeing around Somerset. Daphne our other hut is also in the paddock.

Easy access to Cheddar Gorge with its staggering caves, Glastonbury Tor and Abbey rich in myth and legend and Wells with its magnificent Cathedral and Bishops Palace.

Our annexe has been refurbished to provide a high-end environment, ideal for 2 adults to relax in. It is set in an area called the Allertons, a cluster of beautiful character villages. It is always a pleasure to stroll around. The pace is relaxed, the locals are very friendly and will direct you to the local pubs and shops if requested. The Mendip hills , Wells and Glastonbury are very near, and all offer so much for sight seekers.
