Vacation rentals with a fireplace in West Bloomfield Township

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful and comfortable home while renovations were being done at our own house. The location was perfect. It's just a short drive to downtown Birmingham and Royal Oak, making it easy to enjoy great restaurants and shopping. The house itself was cozy, well-appointed, and felt like a true home away from home. Our kids loved it so much that they were begging to stay even after our renovations were complete! On top of that, the host was extremely responsive and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. We highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient place to stay in the area!

The house was spacious and comfortable. Our group of five adults enjoyed meals and games at the table and a movie night in the living room. The local neighborhood was very nice for walking. We enjoyed checking out a nearby park. Communication was prompt.

We had to make a last-minute change, due to issues with our original reservation; and I am so glad we did! The house was beautiful, inside and out. We arrived late and Rebecca left a light on for us (how sweet is that?!). The house is spacious with plenty of room for private quiet time as well as getting together with everyone. All of the rooms were pristine clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked, bedrooms had plenty of blankets, and bathrooms had lots of towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The outside was beautifully landscaped and equipped with lots of outdoor seating and lights. We had visiting deer, that made a bed in the backyard one evening. Evidence of the peacefulness of this house. A bonus of this house is the chalkboard wall, which my grandkids and kids really enjoyed. I can honestly say there is nothing negative I can say about our stay there. We had a wonderful time and am extremely grateful to Rebecca for sharing this gem of a house.

This is a beautiful lake house with an incredible view and lake access. The host lives right next door and is super attentive, with a very friendly dog who likes to come by often and say hello. The house has everything you need to enjoy a lakeside vacation and relax. It has an old charm, but with that comes a lack of central air conditioning. There are some air units in some rooms that keep most of the house cool, and fans for the rest of the rooms. My family and I weren't able to fully take advantage of all the amenities due to the nature of our stay, but there is a fire pit, grill, and outdoor seating & table to enjoy the lake views and gorgeous sunsets.

This is the best deal in this area! We have family in West Bloomfield and my husband and I planned to come visit stay with them. Other family from Texas came along, and we needed a larger house. This one was perfect for us! New, clean and beautiful from top to bottom. Not lakeside but you can see the lakes from several windows. It is only a few minutes to a lake park that the owner suggested for us. When I messaged Clarence he responded right away and was very helpful. The home has everything you need! We would definitely stay again.

This was definitely home away from home! The area was very peaceful with beautiful views, we had everything we needed and is perfect if you have children! Plenty to keep the kiddos busy and having fun while you enjoy your time too. It was hard to leave! 10/10 recommend staying here with family!

The place was perfect and very relaxing. Enough space for our big family plus grandma and grandpa. We all had fun fishing from the dock and playing on the kayaks. We even enjoyed a fire in the fire pit every night. Colleen was fabulous and made sure we had everything we needed!

Brandy and the Hickory House were both perfect on our recent stay! The location is wonderful and felt very safe. The house was very clean and included more than I would expect. Brandy was very responsive. It’s clear that she works hard at providing a very nice experience all the way around. I would definitely stay with her again! The only thing at all to mention for the general public is that there is one step down into the dining room. And the ground floor bedroom is through the dining room. So if you have mobility issues just know that there is one step there. There are also a few steps to the front door but those were pictured well in the advertisement. Excellent stay! Very happy!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Navy Yard Flats. Prime location, beautiful unit, responsive host. Jason was lovely. Very helpful and went above & beyond. We liked the central location. Parking was manageable for us. Our boys loved playing in the park across the street and ice cream shop next door. I loved the cafes close by. If you are a light sleep or have Littles, I would bring a fan for the one bedroom. Overall it was a great stay and we will be booking again with Jason this summer.

This was my first Airbnb stay and it was great. The stairs are super steep, that’s my only concern because of my bad knee, but I’d still stay there again. The unit was very clean, organized and all the furniture was very comfortable. The location was great, the neighborhood was quiet and beautiful. The host was helpful and quickly responded. My flight was delayed almost 6 hours and he made sure the front light was on for me. 😊

We had a pleasant stay, just a couple small quirks to the place we didn't anticipate, maybe I didn't read the listing close enough, but host was responsive and friendly. Perks were it's a spacious stay and has a comfortable bed. TV and fireplace are nice. Quirks are is a first floor apartment complex with a tenant above and there were banging noises above that kept waking us up. Host responded they'd ask the neighbor to keep down the noise, a great option, however the noise kept happening seemingly every time we tried to sleep. Bath towels are located under the bed in a plastic drawer, which isn't correct from the description given "in dresser" and there were no towels in the bathroom initially, which really confused us. The shower is well water based and has a horrible odor, not much the host can do about this but it made showering quite uncomfortable. I still rated 5 stars due to these being minor quirks, overall the stay was peaceful.

The place was great. Loved the decor!!! It felt like a hotel stay. Very clean and organized. It was comfortable and Em was a great host. She was very kind, patient and accommodating.

Keri's place was very lovely! It was the perfect place for us to retreat to after our long days. The place was super clean — the bathroom was spotless, the kitchen was really clean (including the inside of the fridge!), and the bed linens and mattress were fresh and comfy. Everything we needed for our stay was available. We were grateful for the clear directions and expectations along with the recreational and dining suggestions. We also really appreciated how responsive and thoughtful Keri was — she went out of her way to accommodate our special situation and made sure we had everything we needed. The little welcoming touches were noticed and appreciated. We hope to stay there again! Thanks, Keri!

Everything was very clean, the decor was beautiful

I wish we could had enjoy the downstairs uni more. Its quiet neighbourhood and the house was clean. I enjoyed the fire place. The house was alright. I enjoy looking out the window. The basement unit gets plenty of sun. ☀️ I love the nearby restaurants and scenery. We LOVED this area Walmart and farm shops.

It was our second time staying at Ian's place, we had a great time once again! Easy to find and in a nice and safe neighborhood. The small appartments make it easy to have privacy even when travelling as a group. Highly recommend!

Zarifa is simply the best host out there. Very responsive, attentive and polite. She truly wants your stay to be the best. I would book with her every time if I could!

I highly recommend this house. I spent a week there and found it to be very peaceful, with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. I’d also like to highlight how incredible Blessing is—attentive, kind, and always ready to help throughout my stay.

This place absolutely perfect! Zoha and Samina went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and safe. I felt like I was at home. So close to all the places like food, mall, restaurants. The most important thing I loved is the garden, so so pretty and so much work put into it, nature is my favorite so I truly appreciate it, the view from my window was so so beautiful. The place was truly amazing, everything was so easy. Hosts let check out a little later cause I started work later in the evening and that was so sweet of them. If you want private, peaceful, homey neighborhood this one’s for you. They literally have everything you need. Both Zoha and Samina are so kind and thoughtful, cannot recommend it enough. Definitely coming back!!! Thank you so such a wonderful hospitality!

I had a wonderful time staying at Leah's place for my birthday getaway. The house was cozy, well-equipped, and had everything I needed to feel at home. The added touch of dog treats was a pleasant surprise! However, I did notice some minor issues—there was leftover garbage in the kitchen bin, and there were a few insects in and around the house, which is understandable given the cottage setting. The hot tub and some outdoor amenities, like the open shed, also had larger spiders, which made it a bit challenging to use the kayaks and hot tub as much as I’d hoped. Despite these small concerns, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend this villa for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
