Family-friendly vacation rentals in Wells

Really nice converted basement to studio. Large bedroom/living room combo. Through a door was a modern bathroom with stand up shower and a kitchenette. Well decorated and stocked. She is a terrific host. I never saw her but she pre answered any questions I may have had. Climate control was very efficient and hot tub was spotless and easy to access. I will add it is not a private atmosphere for the hot tub as it is open with no privacy screens. My only flex with this rental is that the bathroom and kitchenette area does not feel private due the lack of a wall and instead the use of a privacy screen, to block off the rest of the basement and being able to see her basement stairs (I don’t think she uses them while hosting) but for me the fact that someone could walk down from the main house and be there is uncomfortable. This part is not to complain but inform. It is costly to rent and I always like to know exactly what I’m walking into.

We had a wonderful time. The house was perfect. It was a short walk to the lake. Very peaceful and quiet. Loved having 3 full bathrooms. It was a short drive to Conway for shopping and restaurants.

David and Valle’s house is welcoming, and it was just right for our family get-together. The kitchen is very well set up for cooking, and the counter is both beautiful and a great place for gathering and conversation. There are many lovely touches in the house. We appreciated the yard and gardens, and our dog loved the walking trail. The location is peaceful but just a few minutes from Portland. David communicated well and offered helpful ideas for our visit.

A nice private cottage in a quiet community that was super handy for us to stay until we secured our house in New England. Everything is in place for comfortable living. We lived there for a month long and the hosts were always responsible.

Wendy’s place was really nice and the hot tub is very private.. we definitely got our usage out of it… Wendy herself was extremely kind and open minded. She didn’t rush us out come check out, instead, she encouraged us to stay a little longer and enjoy the hot tub before our long journey back home.. she gave us good tips about golden gems only locals know about 🥰 She did have a cool book to share reviews but I didn’t have a pen.. also we left grape soda in the fridge from Canada for the next person to try!! The house was beautiful and worked perfectly for our group! Check in was very easy, and the house was spotless when we arrived. My favorite part it was the yard - perfect for a big barbecue with a large group.

Dave was an amazing host and he provided the best possible get away for our first wedding anniversary. It was private there is so much beautiful outdoor art to look at and the hot tub was the perfect way to wind down after the day. If there was a 6 star option I would give it this was everything we wanted and needed and then some

The home was amazing. It was large enough for our family of nine adults and one toddler to be comfortable for an extended stay. Tim and Dena were very responsive and helpful and accommodated all of our quirky requests! Definitely recommend.

Normand and his wife were simply amazing. From the eggs and snacks that were waiting for us when we arrived to the homemade cookies on our check out. The place was very cozy and comfortable with tons of toys and games for kids and adults. Normand was very accommodating to any request and even helped me chase the puppies when they accidently got out. I would highly recommend this!

We instantly felt at home! Everything we needed was there, including things that I often bring with me because they aren't usually provided. Erin has set up this house the way you would if you lived there yourself--extra pillows, blankets, bathroom and kitchen towels, kitchen and laundry detergent. Basic spices, coffee and tea, sugar and creamer, every kitchen gadget and utensil. Bath products, night lights, beach chairs and towels. Even a bluetooth speaker and use of their Netflix account! All we needed were a few groceries and some sunshine to enjoy the outdoor spaces and seasonal game room. The house is spacious and charming! Their check-in and check-out methods are easy and they left ample info on how things work in the house and local restaurant and activity recommendations. This is a great location and home. I almost wish we had brought the kids...

Another absolutely amazing stay at the beautiful Pond House. Stunning views, incredible location. Immaculately clean. So much love and care has gone into this fantastic home. Everything you could possibly need or want is there. Andy and Emily are so kind, caring and generous. It’s such a privilege to stay here.

We had the best weekend here! Paul was so responsive and helpful. We enjoyed having the option to go down to his brewery and hear the live music or just hang out at the yurt / by the campfire! It was a quick drive to Kennebunkport too. We would love to come back, it was awesome!

we loved staying here! Our 5 yr old did not want to leave! It had everything you need for a perfect family getaway and dog friendly. Tons of toys to pick from and a great completely fenced in yard.. Beautiful location and you can walk 15 min to a super library and a little downtown area with great places to eat!

Our stay here was exactly what we were looking for in a home base in Portsmouth. We loved everything about how comfortable we were and what an effortless stay this was for us. The plants added much to my enjoyment❤️

Wonderful hideaway minutes from anywhere on Maine coast. Very-well equipped for cooking at home and relaxing outside in the sun. We used both the grill and the kitchen. Plenty of bed space and living area for 4 adults. Great spot for our doggie as well, with multiple nearby areas to explore. Blair was a great host with a charming little spot in Kennebunkport. Highly recommend.

Nice place, clean, comfy bed, very well stocked, had everything i needed for a month. I work from home, over the internet. My only recommendation to Alan and Martha is to fix the wifi which went down multiple times per day and disconnect me from my job and conference calls. The first 3 or so times it happened, i called & texted the 2 phone numbers that Alan provided (in a note on the fridge). I also left a voice mail and knocked on their front door. but i never heard back about my text or voicemail. Eventually I unplugged are re-plugged the antenna/router which fixed the issue most times. Sometimes you have to do it 2 or 3 times, but eventually it does work.

Great stay. Nice clean place. Good view of fireworks from the balcony.

Richard was very quick to respond and easy to work with! Cute little cottage in a nice little community with a pool. I would stay there again.

This came out to be one of our best vacation. With a 15yo ado and his 13yo sister, the ping pong (surprise) table was the best. It might be cliché to do morning beach (20 minutes easy walk), then afternoon common pool (nearby and perfectly shaded after the beach's sun), a ping pong tournament then a BBQ on the private terrasse, no neighbours around with, I must say, a quite efficient gas BBQ. N & C's place is spic and span. The location is remarkable, a 10 minute drive to the groceries, close to OG downtown. A true recommendation. Loved it.

Good place to stay for Hampton Beach. Short walk to the water.

The condo was better than the pictures. It was well equipped, the price vs the situation was really good. Spacious and private with great amenities. I would live to rent again next year.

We had an excellent weekend at Christopher’s condo in Wells! The place was exactly as described and Christopher was incredibly responsive and accommodating! The pool and the hotub were also great!

Home is very expansive with room for multiple families to reside together. Lots of games and activities for all ages. Amazing location within minutes to airport and short drive to downtown

We absolutely loved our visit to Appledore Cottage! It was quaint and perfectly relaxing. The screened in porch was the best place to just sit…very quiet and peaceful!
