Two - Bedroom Apartment (Ground Floor)

We had a late check in, which wasn’t a problem. While small, the apartment was exactly what we required for two nights. Central location.

We had a last minute trip and had to bring our dog with us. Great pet friendly place, warm and cozy space, very comfortable. Nicholas was very accommodating, great dog park across the road, 10 minutes to the city. Perfect for our needs. Appreciated the dog bowls provided and dog treat as well as breakfast cereal and fruit.

Contemporary | Central Location | Secure Garage

We really enjoyed our stay at Peter's place. The only slight hiccup was that one Airbnb web page had an outdated combination for the lock box with the key to get in, and that happened to be the page we were referring to. When I finally was ready to give up and clicked on the button to communicate with Peter, a different page came up with the correct code, and all was well. I shared this with Peter, and he immediately tracked down the offending page and updated it. All else was excellent. having a washer and dryer there was wonderful, something that, it turned out was fairly rare on our travels. Actually, there's one more thing: my wife asks me to communicate that she wished that there had been a handrail on the staircase to the second floor, as she found the stairs somewhat shallow and felt a little uneasy going up and down. (We are both 75, FWIW; I was fine with the stairs.)

Isabelle was a great host. Showed us the local trails and shared with us about the area. The place was simple and clean and perfect for us for the days we spent there. Highly recommend staying if you like being close to nature and quiet surroundings.

Windows on Wellington

‪RivaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Amelia is the perfect host! She found us a flexible solution even when it seemed like there wasn’t one. The House of Windows is one of the most creative and impressive homes I’ve stayed in — not just in New Zealand, but anywhere in the world. Perched high on a hill above the bay, it’s the perfect place to relax, work out, and do yoga. It’s clear that a lot of thought and effort went into every corner of the house. Amelia took amazing care of us — she sent us wonderful recommendations and even helped us find a babysitter, which was truly above and beyond. If there’s one place I’d return to for a long holiday and a coffee with an incredible woman — it’s this house (: We honestly didn’t want to leave.

Warm and cosy cottage with great sun

GilesRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Thanks to all the previous guests and reviewers who persuaded us to make the wise decision to make the booking at Karaka Cottage. It's hard to add much more to what you all wrote. The opportunity to stay here shouldn't be missed. Rob and Jill have perfectly updated a 1950's cottage into a contemporary dream while maintaining its history. And on top of that they organised 2 weeks of beautiful weather while the rest of the island was dealing with a cyclone.

Sunny 3 Bedroom with garden close to hospital

SarahRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed in several air bnbs for our recent trip to NZ and Niki’s house had the best feel about it - definitely our favourite. So welcoming, lovely furnishings and linen, and we all felt immediately at home when we arrived. Such a beautiful garden view from every window and local Indian restaurant on our first night was delicious! Thank you for a great stay.

Scenic Haven: Warm, ethnic charm

ToniRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was a lovely quiet home away from home. Beautiful views and warm and cozy on those cold windy Wellington nights. We had all the amenities we needed and the location was very convenient for all our needs. Public transport is just a short walk away making it so easy to get around. We wanted somewhere out of the city hustle bustle but convenient enough to be able to go to the city centre if we wanted. Thank you our stay was great and I highly recommend this property.
