Welcome to the Ilmtal We rent our quietly located holiday home on the Ilmtal Cycling Trail. On 80 m² you will find a fully equipped kitchen, living room, bathroom, as well as 3 bedrooms on the first floor. A small garden with terrace and grill is also included. From Nauendorf near Apolda to Jena it is about half an hour by car, the same to the former cultural capital of Weimar. The climatic health resort of Bad Sulza, with brine, thermal baths and spa clinic, is only 15 minutes away by bus or car.

A charming, authentic house in GDR style. Very centrally located directly on the beautiful Weimarhallenpark and only a 3-minute walk from the city center. It is surrounded by the imposing new Bauhaus Museum, the historic Gauforum and a quiet family residential area. The house itself was bequeathed to us by our GDR-savvy grandmother and, despite some modernizations, is authentically kept in exactly this style. In just 10 minutes you can walk through the idyllic Ilmpark directly into the old town and still live here quietly, green and completely private. Our house is a former Gagfah house with character and history, which we have carefully expanded and ecologically renovated. It was important to us to preserve the original charm, with natural materials, warm colors and loving details.

The house is modernly decorated and the garden offers plenty of space to spread out. In the winter months, it is perfect for winter sports in and around Oberhof. In the rest of the year, it is great for hiking, cycling and sightseeing in and around the Thuringian Forest and much more. The sauna and hot tub require preparation. If you want to use them, please let us know after booking. Furthermore, we have a pool that you can use in summer by arrangement.

The apartment is located in the southern quarter of Weimar with a bus stop (10 minutes by car to the center) directly opposite the apartment. A bakery (also open on Saturdays), Edeka supermarket and a pharmacy are within walking distance. The apartment is the starting point for hiking and cycling tours to the Ilm Valley and Belvedere Palace. The city center with its sights, the nearby Goethepark and cafes is within walking distance in addition to the bus.
