The cottage has all amenities within a minutes walk including popular The Firehouse Somerset pub, One Stop Convenience Store, Petrol Station & PO.

A lovely, light and spacious chalet on the Somerset Levels; finished to a high standard with its own private wood-fired hot tub on the veranda overlooking fields. Gas heating and a wood burner. (see house rules for wood burner usage) TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED Check in and out times sometimes can be altered to your needs . Ask when booking . The location is a mile away from a pub and 1.5 from a local supermarket. It’s down a track and very secluded . Don’t expect suburbia. No TOWELS provided .

The Old stables is part of the original estate of Cary Fitzpaine. Although the setting is rural, we are a short way from A37 (.5 mile) and A303 (1.5 miles) which makes us very accessible to other amenities/attractions. The property is self contained and private, with a contained garden. The owners live nearby and are happy for guests to walk around the farm, and are also on hand if required. We are in easy reach of many National Trust properties, Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm & Haynes Car Museums.

The area offers lovely walks directly from our garden up into the hills at High Ham or down on to The Levels and the river Carey.
