House vacation rentals in Watauga County

We had an amazing stay at Robs Airbnb. My friends and I wanted a getaway for the weekend to spend time away from our routine and get some skiing in. The place was really clean and met all our expectations. Super spacious and lots of room for 8-9 people to sleep. Rob was also super responsive when we locked ourselves out, he immediately responded and helped us get back inside. Overall a fantastic experience.

The condo was extremely clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The decorations and overall feel of the place is great. The pool was nice to go down and enjoy as well. The view is incredible and we spent a good bit of time out on the balcony, just enjoying the beauty and serenity. We have zero complaints and nothing but praise for the condo and hosts. We definitely plan to return! Don't be deterred by the need to use the shuttle to travel back and forth to your car. The drivers were great and the wait for them was just a couple minutes. The entire complex seems laid back, friendly, and very well maintained. Food, groceries, or entertainment is all within a few minutes drive. While our friends were sweating in Bristol at 87 degrees, we were a cool 72 up on the mountain. It is a great place to cool off and recharge in the Summer.

Our family loved staying at Jared’s home. Lovely space, quiet but easy to get to Boone and Blowing Rock. Plenty of room for a family of five and we will certainly try to stay here again next time we are in the area.

We really enjoyed celebrating my little sisters graduation with a girls trip here. The hot tub and the outdoor seating was the highlight of the stay for sure.

The hosts did above and beyond. They were very responsive and helpful throughout all my questions. Would recommend to anyone visiting boone. Beautiful location, private and very near blowing rock.

Great place to stay. Very clean with lots of games and things to do inside when not enjoying local attractions.

Well we’re so comfortable and had a great time. It was just our family and the setup was perfect for parents and children. Please be aware the location had stairs to get to the house and the grill is back down the stairs making it a little inconvenient for most but very hard if not impossible for those with mobility concerns. The place was very well appointed, comfortable, and clean. We’ll for sure be back!!

Very nice newer mountain home with a great deck and view. The two king bedrooms (plus a bedroom with 2 twin beds) were definitely a bonus and the beds were comfy while on the firmer side. Everything we needed was provided. Lots of games and puzzles with a reading nook and table and chairs in the loft. The home is decorated thoughtfully, efficiently and tastefully. Decor is modern and not fussy and very clean. Janet was pleasant to deal with and the location is very close to Boone and lots of family friendly attractions like Mystery Hill and Tweetsie only minutes away. Close to shopping and good restaurants, too. Would definitely recommend.

My sisters and I LOVED our time at Tony's home in Boone. It was perfectly located and every detail was perfect. The view from the porches was amazing and the furniture inside and outside was so comfortable. It was a quick 10 minute drive to downtown Blowing Rock and 15 minutes to Boone. We loved the welcome book with all the ideas for hikes and restaurants. The kitchen has everything you need for a weekend away. The bathrooms are updated and the towels are thick, the beds are so comfortable. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! Highly recommend this home!

Adorable place for two. Clean and comfortable. We were in town for a wedding at The Mill at Rock Creek, which is beautiful. I have one suggestion, hangers. There are two big closets but we weren't able to hang our clothes. Also there aren't any shelves. We draped our dressy clothes over the sofa to try to get out any wrinkles and had to leave everything else in our suitcase on the floor. Minor inconvenience that wouldn't deter us from recommending this place to others or returning again.

This was first solo trip and airbnb experience and it was amazing. Everything was spotless and it was extremely nice to play house for a couple days. Kitchen has everything you need to cook and clean, the bathroom was a nice space to relax and wash, bedroom was beautiful and the bed was so soft. Their dog Buck hang out with me for a little bit outside on the patio one morning and was the sweetest thing ever! Both hosts I got to speak with were very nice and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this stay!!

This beautiful place meant more to us than I can even express. This was my Great Grandparent's home, where my Grandfather (Daddy Jack) and my Dad grew up. It was a very meaningful stay, especially since my Aunt just passed away. Family members enjoyed seeing this special place, some for the first time ever! We had a baby fawn sleeping along the stone wall the whole weekend. The weather was perfect and the view was stunning. Poplar Grove is a magical place and I highly recommend this wonderful home! Our stay was just great. Such serene and peaceful surroundings, and amazing views! Having the beautiful horses greet us while there was enjoyable and an added bonus. We always enjoy The Local restaurant in Boone, which is close by, when we visit this area. We plan to stay here again on our next visit!

We had a fabulous vacation at the owl house. Perfect for families. Centrally located close to town and easy access to the parkway and blowing rock! It was cleaned and week stocked. It was quiet and peaceful. We will definitely come back.

Boulder house is a great place to stay, we loved the hot tub and the great outdoors behind the house the creek the covered bridge the river. My grandsons just loved it!

My family really enjoyed our 3 night stay. The place is much more spacious than we expected (based on pictures), and was very nice. The kitchen was well stocked making a late night arrival easier our first morning. We've been to Boone several times over the past few years, and while we like checking out new places, we would definitely consider this property again. The hosts, Don and Patsy, were very responsive, which is always appreciated!!! Thank you!!!

We had an amazing time at Catch and Release! The house was beautiful and well-stocked. We loved being outside whether it was making s’mores by the fire or taking a nice walk down to the river for a picnic. The neighborhood is out of the way and incredibly peaceful, but still close enough to Banner Elk, Boone or Valle Crucis for easy daytime excursions. Highly recommend for a family vacation!

Myself and two of my crew stayed here while working out of town. The place was clean, comfortable and homey. It had everything that we needed and more! I thought the picture of the deer was a pretty lucky shot at first until we walked out on the back deck at sunrise and saw 10 or 12 of them in the field right outside! Beautiful place, polite and accommodating host. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved the Nutty Squirrels Nest. The location is very convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock, and Valle Crucis. The neighborhood is adorable and quiet, and the house is set at the top of the forest, just what you want for a stay in the mountains. The home itself is cozy and well-appointed, with everything you could need, including a stocked coffee bar which was much appreciated! We stayed as a family of four, and the space was prefect for us. The kids were content on the sofa bed, while we enjoyed the wonderfully comfortable king in the bedroom. We would definitely stay here again!

A perfect place to stay. Close to both blowing rock and Boone. The house was so cozy and clean. Kristen, the host, was so kind and an excellent communicator. My kids were so sad to leave. We will definitely be back!!

Absolutely magical stay! The cabin was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully set up. We made unforgettable family memories sitting by the fire at night, seeing wildlife right outside the windows, hearing the bubbling creek, and snuggling up on the comfy couch to watch movies. It served as the perfect hub for ziplining, river tubing, and even a baseball game (go Boone Bigfoots!). One of our most memorable trips to the area and we can’t wait to return for a longer stay.
