Cabin vacation rentals in Watauga County

A great place to get away. The boys enjoyed being able to walk right down to the river to go trout fishing. I enjoyed sitting on the back porch reading a book. The weather was not as nice as what we would have liked but plenty of board games to keep everyone busy and off their phones. Hearing the rain on the tin roof porch was so peaceful. Look forward to try to come back and stay in the place closer to the river they have just built. This was a quick trip, we did not even try the hot tub!

This place was great. Wonderful views. Private and quiet. Non-stop hummingbirds visiting the feeder on the deck.

We did a rather long stay in the cabin for a little over a week and had a wonderful time as a family. Even though we had a ton of rain, we were able to watch through (what an incredible view!!!) the windows and enjoy the day spent together! We loved the location of the cabin as we could get to Boone and Blowing Rock quickly. I highly recommend this cabin for a trip to the area and will be sharing with family and friends!

Even though it was a short stay for us, I can’t say enough positive things about our experience. Simon’s hospitality was exceptional. He went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Beautiful house with an amazing view. great for just a few friends or a larger group. the hot tub was lots of fun and so was the fireplace

We have been in multiple cabins all over the country now and Tucked Inn has been one of our favorites for sure. The place is peaceful, beautiful, well maintained and our dogs had a lot of fun exploring the area. The hot tub with the amazing views and the firepit were one of the best parts. We were a bit concerned about the drive up to the cabin, especially since it was raining when we arrived but it was not bad at all with our SUV. Just make sure you arrive before it gets too dark if it is your first time getting there. All that said, if you are thinking about booking this cabin reserve it without hesitation. It is gorgeous and our experience with Donnie & Whitney was 10/10. Highly recommended!

Hands down, one of my favorite airbnb! Spectacular views, beautifully decorated space, awesome sitting areas. We were in town celebrating the wedding of my college roommate's daughter, and the space was perfect for three couples. Can't say enough great things about it. Brian was incredibly responsive as a host. The location is a very short drivable distance from Blowing Rock, not that you may ever want to leave the airbnb. Highly recommend!

Absolutely wonderful little place! Great stay for a couple and their pup! Bedroom: comfortable king size bed! Very roomy for a 1b1b apartment! Bathroom: the walk-in shower has beautiful green tile and bench! It is not really pictured in listing but it’s absolutely adorable! Living room: cute and comfy couch!! Kitchen: has everything you need for basic cooking! Plus a very nice grill outside! Patio: has a private hot tub and great seating for morning coffee with a view! Overall, the place was absolutely perfect and everything we wanted/needed. It was spotless when we arrived and we had no issues checking in. Highly recommended booking! Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay! Richard is an excellent host who obviously wants his guests to have the best stay possible. Our personal favorites were the outdoor areas. The surrounding are so beautiful and peacful, and Richard's home provides a gazebo, porch with sofa, fire pit, and deck dining which we loved. If you want a cozy cabin in the mountains, Richard's place is for you!

This place was so peaceful and relaxing. We fished directly off the deck and could see the fish from there also. We attempted to find the steps down to the water a few homes over but we weren’t able to locate them. We loved that the home was back off the road but still very close to town and many local places. The neighborhood was very quiet and well maintained. Everything exceeded our expectations for the home and location!! The only suggestion I can give is for a WELCOME binder with lists of local restaurants and other attractions and clear instructions to the steps down to the water. Also, include a checkout checklist. And maybe a book for all visitors to sign and leave a word about their visit and where they are visiting from! Just ideas I have seen in other past rental homes! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave!

If I was someone on the fence about staying here, I would absolutely stay here! It was beautiful, very clean, well taken care of and very relaxing! It was the best way to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and we will certainly be back! The price was very reasonable for 2 nights in a beautiful relaxing cabin too! We were able to bring our puppy which made it even better! Firefly cabin is a must stay!

This is a great pet-friendly getaway cabin, about 15 minutes outside Boone. Property was as-described, and the hosts were very helpful and responsive. The property was clean, and perfect for our needs. We are looking forward to visiting again!

Christopher was great! He was very accommodating and responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay. We’d absolutely consider staying there again if we decide to travel to the Boone area.

Loved our stay this week. Sitting on the deck every morning enjoying a coffee, the birds, the sounds of the creek, and the wooded view was the perfect start each day. Home was well supplied and had everything we needed. Location wise it was just a short drive to both West Jefferson and Boone.

My wife and I had an incredible weekend mountain getaway. The views are spectacular and the place is brand new. Quick 10-15 min trip down the mountain to the center of Boone. We will be back again!

This was a favorite Airbnb. When you think of everything you can imagine provided. It was!!!! So beautifully decorated. Everything cozy to make you feel right at home. Clear instructions on how to use everything was so helpful. A beautiful new deck that overlooked the mountains with incredible views. A goody basket was provided...so thoughtful. Everything was absolutely perfect. Oh...comfortable beds, great linens, soft towels etc. Definitely hope to visit again soon.

This was by far the most beautiful place we have ever been too. The views are of epic proportions the cabin was clean and comfortable. We didnt want to leave. If you are looking for a peaceful quiet getaway there is none better. The location is a good distance from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg or pigeon forge but thats what we were looking for, for our honeymoon. Suba's is excellent dining if looking for a wonderful meal.

Everything on the listing is true! The view is epic, the house is wonderfully set up and decorated. There are so many thoughtful touches throughout the house that truly make it such a relaxing and peaceful stay. We felt all alone on the beautiful mountain, with amazing accommodations! The host was also extremely proactive and healed up! We are always trying to coordinate dates for our next family trip here!

We had a great time in this cabin. it is very close to Boone/App State and many restaurants. Lisa was very responsive and super helpful. The cabin is extremely clean and quiet and had everything we needed and more! We will def stay here again!

Lani was an exceptional host and made my sisters and I feel right at home. When we arrived she showed us to the house so we wouldn’t get lost, made sure we had everything we needed, and was incredibly friendly our entire stay. We spent lots of time soaking in the sun and the view on the deck. This was the perfect little getaway!

We had a great stay. The cabin had everything we needed to enjoy a few peaceful days n the mountains. The kitchen had all of the basic amenities, the beds were comfortable, and the house was clean. The proximity to Boone was a big plus. We can’t wait to come back!
