Monthly Rentals in Washbourne

It was a short trip to a family wedding and was ideally situated and was a lovely peaceful place to stay. We love Devon and I wish we could have stayed longer. However, for longer holidays a place which takes a dog would be needed.

Ashwell cottage is a lovely well appointed holiday let. It comes with all possible amenities and is fitted to a high standard. The hosts Don and Karen are very friendly, knowledgeable and informative and they keep the cottage in top condition. The cottage is set in a private area in beautiful gardens, just a 10 minute drive from local villages.

We had a great stay at the Patio Barn. Gilly and Tim were so welcoming when we arrived , really friendly, helpful, and chatty. During our stay they respected our space but were always around for a chat if we needed anything, which was lovely. The studio was a great size and had everything you could need (and more!) for cooking, and the BBQ was a brilliant bonus, we ended up using it for breakfast and dinner every night 😂. The location was ideal for heading to the coast and exploring the surrounding area. The driveway was a little tricky at first as it is very steep, but you quickly get used to it (reverse on). It was quite bright inside in the mornings due to the sheer curtains and blinds, but nothing that took away from the stay. Overall, we had a lovely time and would 100% come back if we’re ever in Devon again. Thanks so much, Gilly and Tim!

I can’t say enough about how much my partner, Fi, and I, enjoyed staying at The Granary. It’s beautiful, tranquil and comfortable, and has every item you need for a hassle free stay. Both Kate and her husband David, are both a welcoming and charming couple. They’ve created such a beautiful space, that’s so comfortable and relaxing to spend time in. We felt at home from the off. A bottle of wine and a birthday card were waiting for Fi on arrival. I’d just happened to mention it was Fi’s birthday weekend, in my initial ‘request to stay’ message. After about 30 minutes after arriving, Kate appeared with the best homemade flapjacks I’ve ever tasted. The Granary is very privately situated and is only 15 minutes from Dartmouth, by car. I can’t emphasise how lovely Kate and David are, and how good there wonderful place is. 10/10 from us. Thank you both for helping to make Fi’s birthday weekend so memorable. We’ll be back next year!
