Donegal Cottage in lush countryside

Donegal was voted the "Coolest place on the planet’ by National Geographic. Our stone cottage is a restored farm building ( circa 1852 ), it is part of our home property, close to the main house. The restoration has a modern touch with tranquil decor. Our property is primate and secluded, in the countryside of rich farmlands of Donegal. Beltany Circle is 5 minutes walk and the historic village of Raphoe makes this the ideal location from which to explore the magic of ‘coolest Donegal’

SomeView

The first thing that any visitors say is ‘that’s someview’, hence we named it SomeView. Up to four guests plus a baby can relax in a beautiful scenic area. Standing 600 feet above sea level with approximately 20 Donegal mountains in view. We are set in a quiet country road with easy 10 minute access to City of Derry airport and the city centre. It’s also only a short distance to some of Walkni’s recommended short walks - Ness Park, Beechill Woodland, Muff Glen to name a few.

This cottage is situation on a working farm with fabulous views over the Sperrin mountains. It is centrally located to many local attractions including An Creggan Visitors Centre, Gortin Glens Forest Park, Davagh Forest Park and Observatory, Ulster American Folk Park and Wellbrook beetling Mill.

It retains the original layout and features whilst updated to modern day standards. Steps to patio with river view. Riverside walk in village. Convenient to shops, pubs, takeaways, American Folk Park and Bessie Bell Mountain. It’s 8 miles to Gortin Glens walking, cycling and horse riding trails.

Ligford Cottage

Ligford Cottage is situated just 5 minutes outside the town of Strabane in County Tyrone in the peaceful countryside of the Sperrin Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Located on an elevated site it gives you outstanding views as far as Mount Errigal and across the Bluestacks mountain range in County Donegal. It is a fantastic starting point to explore all the history and beauty that the north of Ireland has to offer.

The Hayloft

The Hayloft has been carefully restored to meet modern standards while preserving its original charm. The estate has a rich history, dating back to the early 19th century, and was once home to the prominent Herdman family. It was also the residence of Cecil Frances Alexander, celebrated for composing the globally revered hymn "All Things Bright and Beautiful."
