Cottage vacation rentals in Vézère

I had a lovely Christmas with friends, in this well-located and very clean house. Joël and Pascale are very nice and give good information about the area. We'll be happy to go back.

Nyree and Jeff were the perfect hosts and their home in Proissans is just idyllic. We had 6 wonderful days there and wished we’d booked longer. The setting is so beautiful, the gite is lovely, cosy and well appointed, we loved the animals and the pool, and Nyree and Jeff were so kind and welcoming. There is lots to do in the surrounding areas and Nyree and Jeff made some great recommendations including canoeing along the dordogne and a visit to Chateau des Milandes. We would 100% recommend a stay and hope to return again next year.

i think I've never rented such a clean place and what a pleasure! The house matches the description and even better than the photos. The kitchen equipment is top notch. We felt right at home and it's not easy! Quiet house but shops are 5 minutes away by car. We found the hot tub nice to spend the new year. Thanks to Pauline for his availability and hospitality. Relaxing and refreshing family stay. Do it again in summer for this time to take advantage of the swimming pool.

What a fabulous gite in a wonderful location to explore the best of the Dordogne. 10 minutes from Terrasson, a beautiful old town on the river, spoilt for choice for great restaurants… or simple chilled evenings taking in the views. Jenny (& Fleur) is the perfect host, going above and beyond to ensure you have a perfect stay. Not intrusive but if you a fancy a glass of wine she will be on hand! (thank you for ours) We would return in a heartbeat and hopefully soon. Would highly recommend.

That was a wonderful stay. Fanny and the family were extremely welcoming. Despite our disorganization the welcome us in a warm manner, providing helpful support for a sick member of our trip. The place is amazing, truly peaceful, clean and relaxing. Sleep here is so long and refreshing! Totally recommend!

Pleasant, clean and soothing accommodation. Small weekend with girls, relaxing. Communication with the owner was quick and efficient, even though we didn't have to deal with him personally. He was accommodating for the check-out time. We especially want to thank his wife who was present and did us a little favor when we needed it.

Beautiful home in a wooded quiet area. Beautiful enclosed garden. Our dog really enjoyed it here and so did we! Louise is very sweet to animals and friendly and hospitable to people. Upon arrival there were snacks for our dog and a surprise for us! Top location!

Sophie and Craig were the perfect hosts, they were so friendly and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. There was a welcoming (and much appreciated) basket of goodies waiting for us on our arrival and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The gite was just as described and the perfect place to unwind. Lovely views throughout the meadow and surrounding area, the natural pool was a delight. The chickens provided fresh eggs for breakfast and the dogs, Roo and Ted are adorable. A great weekend with friends at Stéphane's. You feel very good in the house and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. Everything is very clean and the house is well equipped. No problem staying with children. We'll be happy to go back!

Nathalie's place is simply beautiful with exceptional views. The only "noise" you'll hear is birdsong and the drumming of a woodpecker 😉 We even had the chance to see a royal Milan, in short, everything is perfect and Nathalie, our host, is very friendly and caring. i recommend it 100%

Sylvie was very welcoming and flexible for our arrival. The accommodation is very well-equipped, the garden superb and quiet. Very good location in Périgord Noir. Recommended!

Very nice place, surrounded by nature. The accommodation was beautiful and you can sleep with the window open and the sound of cicadas. Jean-François is very welcoming.

We had a very nice stay in Catherine and Jean-Pierre's cottage, little spoiled by time unfortunately which did not allow us to enjoy the beautiful exterior (terrace, garden, vegetable garden and pool), but a warm and well decorated cottage. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need, the living room has a fireplace very easy to use to find yourself by the fire in case of rain, the bedrooms are spacious and the 2 bathrooms make the preparation fluid in the morning! Getting together as a family (from Brittany, Rotterdam, Paris and Barcelona) in this beautiful green region, Catherine was good advice on all the activities of the region (equestrian center, castles, villages, chasms, hikes... ) and the visit of its beautiful vegetable garden - note however that it is necessary to rely on the car for all outings , the sites being at least 25 km away! We hope to return someday with milder weather to keep exploring!

The listing is very accurate, so what you read is what you get. We loved the silence, the wildlife, the solitude. No road noise, dark skies.

As an older single woman, traveling alone for the first time in my life, Hans and Jokie helped me to feel safe and cared for. They were genuine , positive and very approachable. They also gave me my privacy and dealt with questions and minor issues promptly. They had time to chat but they were not intrusive. They were perfect hosts!

Nothing to say about the place, it was perfect. Cécile and Sean had great tips. There are plenty of places to visit near the accommodation, gastronomic discoveries and pretty villages. A very nice place.
