It is 17 kilometres to Rjukan, 25 kilometres to Gaustatoppen mountain and beautiful mountain areas. Beautiful views, plenty of sun. There is no running water in the cabin, but water tap just outside. Free wood for the wood stove. When there's frost and freezing temperatures, there's no water in the tap outside. Water must be collected from the host. Rowing boat is available for free. Outboard motor 1-3 days NOK 400,-

The location in the middle between Bø and Notodden provides opportunities for trade and restaurants In the summertime it is possible to rent the canoe ( on sharing with my second cabin in the area) for NOK 350,- a day.

Rauland has 140 km of uphill ski slopes, 5 min by car. 10 min to the ski center. 5 min by car to Rauland city center with shops and electric car charger. Great hiking terrain summer/fall.

Absolutely beautiful property! The views were amazing and the apartment was spotlessly clean. It was a convenient location to the city. The hosts were extremely friendly and we appreciated their hospitality very much. We enjoyed getting to know them both. We also had breakfast with them the one morning and it was the best meal we had our whole trip. Highly recommend staying here and the breakfast if you get the chance.

Amazing place and amazing stay! the property is in a very good location and extremely comfortable. We are traveling with our 1 year old and living room / kitchen space was amazing to allow him to crawl around. The house is beautiful and traditional Norwegian, spotless clean and very warm. We arrived during a snowstorm and the owner kindly set up the wood burning Stowe for us! Amenities/ shops and electric car charging points are only about 10 minutes drive, which was very convenient for us. Thank you for the lovely stay!
