Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Venice Canals

My priority was sleep, low noise level, and privacy. The place is in a residential area with little noise compared to downtown, but you’d still hear exhaust/engine sounds occasionally at night from intentionally ostentatious cars. You’re also likely to wake up with the rooster crowing. The place is a part of the main house, separated with a hall/door, so it’s private, but you’d hear the owners and see them outside your windows, cuz, duh, it’s their house. I really liked this place, probably the most homey Airbnb I’ve ever been to, probably because it is an actual home and not the 11th property, which are the problem with the Airbnb. Seeing colibrí thanks to the feeders outside the windows has been a great treat. Thank you, Karen & Curtis!

We had a great stay at Bridget’s home in Venice Beach. We got a chance to meet her at check-in and she was very nice to talk to and gave us all of the ins and out of the house and answered any questions we had. The house is filled with some really awesome vintage decor and the front and back gardens are very beautiful and relaxing. The house is located right in the middle of Venice Beach walking distance to everything.

Michael's home was great for our three-night stay. I was unfamiliar with the area so I was a little nervous before arriving. Thankfully, the home was away from all of the craziness of Venice Beach but still very walkable. Beach was one block away as well as Starbucks which was very convenient. The home was so cute and clean. The only thing to note is that the one bedroom is a separate entrance from the main house (as stated in the description). It was not a problem for us as we didn't have any children in our family but just something to point out.

Shell House was the perfect stay to end our road trip! Courtney has been an ideal host, no question was too much, she was always quick to respond and so accommodating. The house it’s self was so idilic and the aesthetic fit the location. It was close to the beach and Abbott Kinney BL for shops, coffee and restaurants. We would 100% stay here again and recommend to anyone considering a visit to LA to book Shell House.

Great location, high quality services, spacious and attractive

Simona's home was fabulous! The location is amazing and within walking distance to the beach and Abbott Kinney. The place is very stylish and chic and natural sunlight. Simona was the best host and everything is so organized with detailed instructions including videos of how to turn everything off and on. Extremely helpful. It also includes off street parking spot. We love Venice and that area and plan to stay here again, if available on our next trip. Thank you for a fantastic visit.

Michael and his team were very attentive and responsive. The location is ideal and I appreciated the security and garage entrance.

This is a wonderful, peaceful spot. Especially loved the garden. Book it if you can. It's a 2-minute walk to the ocean, coffee shops, and amazing LA food.

This is a great place for the single traveler. Just minutes from Venice Beach boardwalk and the Ocean. Only 1 avenue over on 4th. catch Big Blue Bus 18 to Santa Monica Metro, which connects you to all of LA, Hollywood, and even Universe Studios. The shower is absolutely AMAZING! Susan has provided lots of extra items to help you out with your stay. Several other buses connect you to Marina Del Rae, Lincoln Blvd., and Long Beach. Great place at a great value. The tv buffers a lot, not sure why? The Apple TV remote stated disconnect ,maybe written instructions could assist.

Sean was a great host and always answered any queries we had quickly. Checking in was easy and the place was exactly as described. We had a great stay and if we ever visit Santa Monica again from the UK we will definitely look into this place!

Adorable, private, and quiet space centrally located in Santa Monica. Hosts were super friendly and thoughtful and the place came with so many amenities and thoughtful touches.

This place is a prime location from Abbot and the beach. It was an awesome location and super comfy. Definitely book with them!!

We had a great time during our short stay here. Location is excellent and the apartment is lovely, would definitely recommend!

Listing was clean and as described. Location was walkable and close to many metro bike stations, where you can rent bikes for pretty cheap. I’d recommend going up north more towards Santa Monica than south towards Venice.

Absolutely loved our stay here and would 100% rebook, truly a one of a kind place! The host was nothing but kind and responsive, the space was spotless and so beautiful. Nothing but good things to say!

Wonderful place. Only unfortunate thing is that we were right next to the main entrance so we heard people coming in and out. It only sucked because i was up and i got scared but would have never noticed if i was asleep. Wish i had time to visit the rooftop. It is a must stay. Host is very friendly and responsive. She made sure I was okay even though she was dealing with an 8 hr time difference. That’s service! Close to the beach.

Sam and Amber are great hosts and their place is perfect for a few days Santa Monica and LA. It’s very close to the beach, pier and the 3rd street boulevard (shopping and restaurants). Both of them replied quickly and were always helpful. The apartment has everything you need and is well equipped. The free parking in a garage is a big plus! We would come back and can absolutely recommend the two and their apartment!

We had a wonderful time staying at Nicole's place! It's great for groups and plenty of entertainment for teens/kids. Would definitely stay again.

Very well-furnished with all the amenities. Our hosts even had cold drinks in the fridge for us. Both Tianna and Grant were very responsive and friendly. Only 5min to LAX

Overall, my stay went pretty smooth. The guests were very helpful and checking out was seamless. The apartment itself was filled with very nice amenities. The living room is very spacious and having parking is a plus. The Airbnb is situated in a nice area. I enjoyed my stay and recommend to anyone wanting to stay near the LA area.

John and Vincent were perfect hosts. Went out of their way to make the check in smooth, and be responsive. Their bnb is in a fantastic location, we walked everywhere , access to the beach was super easy and we were surrounded by great restaurants. My family had a wonderful break, we would go back in a heartbeat.
