Family-friendly vacation rentals in Velilla-Taramay

At Casa Lopez, we stayed for 1.5 months as 5 adults, a child, and a dog. Occasionally, we were up to 10 people, but space was never an issue. The villa is beautiful with stunning views of the mountains and surroundings. The mountain road to the villa adds charm, and the place feels comfortable and safe—even accessible with a Fiat 500. The villa is more spacious than the photos suggest. Rafael, the host, showed us all the amenities: pool, Jacuzzi, and game room—all in perfect order. We also worked from the villa using the internet without any issues. The area is picturesque, close to beaches, mountains, and towns, with plenty to do. The hosts are very kind and helpful, even recommending a mechanic when needed. After 1.5 months, we still felt their warmth and friendliness. Leaving Casa Lopez was emotional for us. So, I recommend the villa for vacations, as well as a place where after work you can open some wine and jump into the pool. I wish everyone an equally wonderful stay.

It was really special to stay in this apartment. Extremely hospitable and attentive hosts – when I felt bad, they were worried about my well-being and offered to help, which was very nice. The apartment was clean, well equipped and located in a picturesque mountain area. The views from the property were breathtaking, and the surroundings were conducive to relaxation. The perfect place to relax in the midst of nature. Highly recommend!

Stunning AirB&b. What a place. The pictures don’t do it justice. We wanted somewhere where we didn’t really need to leave (apart from supermarket shops) and this was just the spot. Everything clean and a super responsive host who even gave us local recommendations. The villa was just like home and we had a super family holiday. We had everything we needed for the kids and the adults. The hammock was super relaxing and our favourite place to hang! Thank you very much Ana.

We had a lovely few days in José's place. place was just like the photos, very clean and José was always on hand if we had any issues or to offer local recommendations.

Beautiful apartment with fantastic views from the large terrace. Two spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 with bath and 1 with shower), excellent kitchen with lots of (cooking) utensils. Also a spacious living room with sitting and dining area. There are many extra things in the house: beach umbrella, deck chairs, lots of towels, kitchen utensils, etc. The enclosed complex has a beautiful garden and large swimming pool with lawn around it. Beach and restaurants are in walking distance. The only downside (if we have to name one) is that the garage has very small parking spaces, but there was plenty of space on the public road!

Great terrace and outdoor area - the view is indescribable. The only shortage in the apartment was basic cleaning supplies, dish brushes, dishwashing tabs, etc. The location is unique and has good local shopping and restaurants. The coffee shop in front of the apartment is clearly recommendable. We'd love to come back.

We can’t say enough good things about this place. We could never have imagined how lovely and relaxing Patricia’s house is. The photos do not do it justice. We stayed for a month and there was absolutely nothing missing . The communication, check-in etc. was perfect. It’s easy to get to from the airport in Malaga and well situated from the town and beaches. We are definitely looking at coming back !

What a stunning piece of paradise in Órgiva! Perfectly situated with breathtaking views of the mountains. Luna is an exceptional host, and the cottage is impeccably maintained—everything you could possibly need is provided. The real highlight is the gorgeous pool and BBQ, complemented by a lovely, naturally shaded spot. Órgiva itself is a delightful place to stay. We’ll definitely be booking again!

This is a true hidden gem, easily the house with the best view I’ve ever been. The hosts are friendly and responsive. They were also very flexible concerning the checkin and checkout time. Would surely recommend this place!

We had a lovely stay in Bubion, it was very peaceful and quiet. Views from the terrace were incredible. The loft was super cosy and well appointed, Rafael was very friendly and gave us great local insights. Great area for hill walkers and star gazers…

Diego's apartment exceeded our expectations, very well located just steps from the sea, comfortable and clean, we were 5 adults and we were comfortable as it was in the description of the ad, Diego was attentive at all times, the apartment is highly recommended, we enjoyed the stay very much.

We loved our stay in this tiny Andalusian village in the hills. It was in a peaceful and beautiful location. We felt so at home there and loved the traditional feel to the house. We ate outside every mealtime, enjoying the views from the wonderfully spacious garden and made the most of the pool. We ventured out to Competa and visited a great new restaurant (by day) and also a trendy insta worthy bar (by night) called Adrianos. We also visited the coast once (be careful not to take the small mountain road back. Big mistake on our part!). We knew the parking was on the road, but the access steps to the house are uneven and steep which was not a problem in the slightest for my husband and but proved a struggle for my mother in law and her wonky hip! Maybe make that clearer for those who find access tricky. All in all, we loved it here and are so grateful for the handy hints offered by the owners so promptly. We hope to return with our grown up children next year! Thank you.

Great view. Quiet, peaceful home with an easy 20 minute walk to the beach. Still, would recommend having a car.

Carlos greeted us late in the evening which was reassuring. Apartment peaceful (early October) with a great pool. Short walk to beach and Nerja old town centre.

The host was very helpful and friendly, very responsive. A very private villa with amazing views and the surrounding area of nature makes this place the perfect location to relax and have a real break from the city, highly recommended to those who are just looking to unwind and have some time off from everything & everyone. The place is clean and cosy. The main room is bigger than the picture. I was so happy I stayed

The apartment is as shown in the photos with easy street parking (free except July/August). The views from the terrace are incredible and we will miss the bed/pillow because of how comfortable they were. The walls are a bit like paper, but you can rest very well at night. There is a dog beach nearby, a cove two steps away and the large one a 5-minute walk away. It was a last-minute reservation and they had it ready in a short time, in addition to letting us take the dog. If we return to the area, we will repeat for sure.

This is definitely worth recommending. We felt like home immediately and really enjoyed the amazing view from the balcony and terrace. The apartment is placed in a peaceful community with an amazing, kids-friendly pool. It takes only few minutes to walk to the beach and local restaurants.

Stayed with 2 families, both with a baby. Very easy that high chairs, cribs, and some toys were provided. Some bedrooms contain shutters that could make it nice and dark, which, together with the air conditioning, helped the little ones sleep well. Very much enjoyed the tranquility, spacious, swimming pool, BBQ. Easy way there, and plenty to do in the area (beach, Granada, Frigiliana, etc.). Unfortunately, probably due to the sudden rise in temperatures, a lot of flies around the house/on the terrace but no one can do anything about it. It was very nice that Sonia acted proactively by bringing some resources to combat them. Communication very easy and fast, both she and her husband are very friendly. Highly recommended!

This apartment is truly a place to relax and recharge! Super quiet and with a beautiful green environment. There is a lemon tree in the garden and occasionally mountain goats came by to graze. The terrace is a dream, the view of the sea and the different moods of daylight is simply magical. Brigitte, who looked after us, was always very friendly, helpful and responded immediately. The path to the sea and then back was a bit too long with our kids, so we usually took the car and used the numerous parking spaces directly on the sea. The surroundings are picturesque and since we were there in May, we could marvel at the beautiful flowers. We felt very comfortable and would definitely come back or recommend the apartment:-)

If you have a big family and a car this should be your choice! The house is gorgeous and in an absolutely beautiful area. Very close to the beach and only 10-15min by car from local the closest towns. There are some restaurants close to the house but they tend to close a bit earlier, but that is fine given how close the house is to other big cities like Málaga, Granada, etc.

Great getaway by the beach! Antonio was an excellent host, extremely caring and responsive. Apartment was clean and spacious, great balcony overlooking the beach. Kitchen was well equipped and easy to work in. Bathroom was spacious with all essentials. Parking was not a problem since it was preseason. About 30 minutes walk to town, easy drive to Granada or Málaga for the day. Had a wonderful time!
