Wonderful cottage with a patio that has ocean views

We rent out our cottage, which is a real gem all year round. The location is perfect with a 5-10 minute walk to saltwater swimming and nice viewpoints. By car, you can get to Marstrand in 20 minutes and to Gothenburg in 35 minutes and we recommend having a car. The cottage is older and simple but has been partially renovated in the winter of 2025. It is located on a beautiful natural plot and has a sunroom with a balcony that has sea views. The house is suitable for families with children, friends and couples. Maximum 4 adults but more if they are children.

Upper Järkholmen

Relax in this unique and tranquil accommodation with views that extend across the entire Askimsfjorden all the way out to Tistlarna. Here you can sit and study nature, the archipelago, hear the seagulls' cries with your morning coffee and go down and take a morning swim as the first thing you do. Children can move freely in the area as there is no direct traffic, instead there are nice natural areas around the area. Live life in this peaceful and centrally-located hotel accommodation down in the southern harbor of Fotö. An accommodation for those who wish to stay on an island but still with proximity and ease to Gothenburg. Free car ferry takes you easily here and into central Gothenburg. Fotö belongs to Öckerö Municipality consisting of ten islands, with proximity to the sea as a matter of course. From Fotö, you can reach the other nine islands, either by bridge or ferry. The cottage is a three minute walk from the nearest grocery store (Hemköp). If you walk a few meters to, you end up in Klåva harbor where there are shopping opportunities and a good selection of restaurants and cafes. The cottage is located 3 minutes bike path to a beach where there is a pier, beach and cliffs. Hönö offers several beautiful swimming areas around the entire island.

We offer our fresh guest house with sleeping loft (not standing height). Large cottage/living room with sofa bed and dining area for six people. Bedroom with double bed and tiled bathroom with washer/dryer. Breakfast tray can be offered. We have 4 bicycles to borrow. There is proximity to Lycke Golf Club, Tofta Manor, Stall Tofta with horseback riding for Icelandic horses. Nature reserve, swimming and fishing. The archipelago around the area is perfect for canoeing and kayaking. Marstrand only 15 minutes by car and 35 minutes to Gothenburg.

In addition, we have two extra beds to use for those of you who have children with you. In summer, the cottage is included but a maximum of 8 people in total. It is a hidden idyll that was once a holiday island for Volvo employees. At the time, the island was called Trälen. You can see Björkö, Karlatornet and Marstrand from the island.
