From the natural hot tub at the center of the well-maintained cottage site, you can enjoy the golden light of the midnight sun or watch the northern lights. You will stay in one of our four studio-style 2-person cottages. They range from 30 to 36 square meters in size and feature different decoration. You can choose to have one large double bed or two single beds in your cottage. Please state at the time of booking which one you require.

We would like to welcome you to come and stay in our lovely guesthouse at our farm in the heart of Skagafjordur. Here you can relax and enjoy your evening in our hot tub, take a walk to visit our calm and gentle horses, we also own a beautiful lake and we are "forest farmers" i.e. we plant 10.000 trees each year and we can highly recommend a stroll through our young forest to the lake. There will be sheep, chicken, cats and dogs around and next to the house there is a beautiful old church:)

Háafell Lodge

Welcome to Háafell Farm where we raise sheep, keep horses and have one friendly dog. Our private guest house is located 200 meters above the farm, up the mountain at 130 meters above sea level. It is a recently built (2020), 100 square meter, modern “turf house style” house. Háafell means “The High Mountain” and has a long river that cascades down its side with several tiers of waterfalls. It is a five minute walk to our canyon and it is possible to take a cold bath in one of the waterfalls.

Eyri seaside houses is a cozy, warm and brand new guesthouse with a great ocean view, located on our small horse farm. We are located at Hvammstangi but still super private and the only thing you see from the apartments are the ocean and landscape. There are a lot of birds at the beach and there is even a chance that you will see some seals. Every now and then we get some whales in the fjord but it has to be your lucky day to see them.

Umhverfi Nýlegt einbýlishús í rólegu umhverfi. Gatan sem húsið stendur við heitir Lindarvegur og er í efsta hverfi Hvammstanga, n.t.t. uppi á hæðinni þar sem ekið er upp í Kirkjuhvamm. Eigin býður því uppá frábært útsýni yfir þorpið og út á fjörðinn. Mjög stutt er í fallegt útivistarsvæði í Kirkjujvammi og margar spennandi gönguleiðir, t.d. er göngustígur sem liggur meðfram ánni sem staðsett er rétt sunnan við húsið.

Mi sono trovata bene qui da Karuna Guesthouse. Il complesso ha una hall molto bella e spaziosa. La camera aveva anche un piccolo lavandino dentro. L'unica cosa è che forse la cucina è un po' piccola per tutte le camere che può ospitare: per questo è consigliabile cucinare piatti con preparazioni veloci. Ultima cosa, forse l'ingresso per entrare all'interno dell'edificio è solo poco segnalato, ma niente di grave.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr ruhig gelegen mit Blick auf den See. Die Anfahrt ist über eine Schotterstraße aber gut zu erreichen. Unser Zimmer hatte ein eigenes Badezimmer und war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Der Check-In lief super entspannt ab und uns wurde alles persönlich gezeigt. Aus dem Zimmer gab’s ebenfalls einen wunderschönen Blick auf den See.

Es war eine spontane Entscheidung eine halbe Autostunde vor Blönduós. Schnelle Kommunikation und gute Lage. Unkompliziertes Wohnen. Sehr angenehm. EMPFEHLENSWERT. Der Ort ist schnell erkundet. Textilmuseum in gleicher Straße war geschlossen. Architektonisch interessante, moderne Kirche war ebenfalls geschlossen.

Beautiful and quiet location. Can walk out right to the water and watch the birds. Large dining and social area. Kitchen a good size. Bathrooms were spacious and clean, but none are located on the third floor - one is on the second floor and the two larger ones with laundry machines and showers were on the first floor.

Un havre de paix et de tranquillité. Hôte accueillant mais pas envahissant. La présence du chien n’est absolument pas gênante, il est sympa et non bruyant. C’était le point de chute idéal, un peu à l’extérieur de la ville, pour faire ce que j’avais prévu (2 nuits). Absolument conforme à ce que j’attendais. I stayed for one night during my long road trip and it was fantastic accommodation! Atmosphere of this place is charming. Quiet and calm place, exactly what is needed if you need to rest afer a very long road trip. Bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. Steinunn is friendly and helpful.
