In the middle of West Götalands unspoilt nature with its lakes and forests, near the big lake Vättern, about 5 kilometers from the village of Undenäs and far away from any through traffic, the small country village of Igelstad is located, directly on the lake Unden. The village is a small collection of scattered houses and farms, of which some are permanently inhabited, while others are used as summer cottages. Here, in a large clearing in the forest, the small farm "Nolgården" is situated. The house is a separate, well-equipped classic wooden log house, built in spruce. It was thourougly renovated in 2008. There is a private bathroom, kitchen and private terrace, Internet connection (WLAN) and Amazon Fire TV (Magenta TV). A cozy fireplace and electric heating provide comfortable warmth. Directly from the house you can make nice walks in the unspoilt nature, pick berries and mushrooms, or walk to lake Unden, one of the clearest and most pristine lakes in Sweden. From the house to the west side of the peninsula, there is only 800 meters. Here you can have a swim or enjoy the sunset over Unden. The eastern shore can be reached in quarter of an hour via a forest path. By the shore a canoe lies ready for extensive reconnaissance trips to the beautiful deserted islands and quiet bays. But the area has much more to offer: the romantic Tiveden National Park, Lake Viken, Forsvik and the Göta canal with its locks, and the huge lake Vättern are just a few examples of interesting destinations.

Newly-equipped house with its own bay and rowboat

Lovely vacation home for those who like animals and nature! Here you can fish, swim, hike and cycle. In the nearby area, there are several nature reserves as well as hiking and biking trails. You have access to a simple rowing boat (life jackets can be borrowed) and your own swimming cove or you can borrow our jetty where you can dive or fish. We are located between Örebro and Karlskoga in Norhammar. Towels and sheets are not included. For an additional cost, they can be rented from the host.

3 bedrooms available in a sunny family home nestled in a small suburb only a 5-minute drive from Karlstad centre. There are buses to town centre readily available. It is also an easy 25-minute walk or a 10-minute cycle along the banks of the river Klarälven. The house is set in a quiet neighborhood close to the river. You will not share the house with other guests but I stay in the basement during your stay. I have a nice outside cat and a friendly dog who also stays with me in the basement.

The house was renovated in 2017 and impresses our guests with its interior design. Here, solo travelers, couples and families alike feel comfortable. There is also the possibility for befriended travelers to rent the neighboring beach cabin and Kilstrand house at the same time and thus be on the go with friends and still maintain their retreat option. Here there is peace and quiet, in surroundings that seem to come from an Astrid Lindgren fairy tale. You live next door to fields, forests and pastures, at the foot of Kinnekulle. The cottage is directly adjacent to the Vänerleden and 1.5 km away connects to the Biosfärleden. Proximity to Kinnekulle's hiking trails, mountain bike tracks and cultural attractions. Both Skara Sommarland and Läckö Castle are within a few miles.

Quiet, cosy cottage in central Säffle

We have a little cottage in our garden, situated near the centre of the town Säffle. There are two beds, a kitchen with refrigerator, sink, two stove plates and microwave if you want to cook on your own, and newly rebuilt bathroom with shower. See pictures. The surroundings are nice, close to shopping and strolling along the river Byälven. You find lake Vänern in 6km distance, where you summertime can take a bath.
