It is near the picturesque village of Svartå. We are close to Tiveden nature park. And directly on hiking, cycling and canoe routes. Berglagsleden route is a well-known hiking route of 280 km right along the house. We overlook a lake where you can enjoy fishing no fishing license needed. Swimming, boating, canoeing and paddleboarding. Within walking distance, there is a cafe restaurant, supermarket and pastry shop. We are surrounded by free space in the forest. Lakefront accommodation

Lakefront, modern and newly-renovated accommodation with its own terrace and garden. 700m to Lake Vänern (EU's largest lake), 500m to nature reserve Hammars udde which offers beautiful nature, rich bird life, nice hiking trails, burial grounds from the Iron Age and a Viking Age "domarring" (ring-shaped stone wall). You will also find Hammarö Archipelago Museum on the outskirts of the headland, which offers a unique collection of objects from the old Vänern fishing and an exhibition about life on the lighthouses in Lake Vänern.

The Lakehouse

Being able to become one with nature in a magical environment is something special. Here you can relax and just enjoy! The building also has a terrace with table & chairs. The building was built in 2023 where building materials are locally produced, furniture & electronics are recycled to get as small a climate footprint as possible. My wife and I also run the accommodation "The View" at the same address and hope our guests will be at least as satisfied with "The Lake House." Feel free to read reviews on "The View"

Göta Canal runs through both communities where there are also cafés, grocery stores, restaurants, swimming areas and museums In the pictures, you can also see the nice Sjötorp, which is 10 minutes away by bike. A perfect cabin for hunters, outdoor enthusiasts or for those who are on the road. There are also bicycles for rent.

The cottage is in a quiet and scenic area 10 km from beautiful Lidköping. Down by the beach, 150 meters from the cottage, there is a public jetty from which you can sunbathe and swim.
