The Bluebird Retreat was a really unique place to stay in Romona. It really felt like a getaway as it’s located in a really tucked away area so you don’t have to worry about neighbors or the sounds of traffic. It was truly just peace and quiet. Place was stocked up with everything we needed to bring some groceries and cook dinner. Everything was clean and spotless. The hose Lara was always responsive. Best part was waking up to all the sunshine and critters hanging around the place, squirrels and so many kinds of birds ( if you’re a birder you’ll really appreciate this place) plus the spectacular view of lake Sutherland 👌🏼 overall this place is one of a kind, if you ever find the need to be in Ramona, don’t hesitate to book ✅

Thank you for sharing your home with us. It was perfect for our big family — very spacious, comfortable, and incredibly pet-friendly! The location was great too — conveniently close to both San Diego and Oceanside. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back again!

It's a lovely, rustic unique home. The hosts are very communicative with quick responses. The property is sprawling with trails to walk. The outdoor BBQ and kitchen is great!! The guest house uses an outdoor access bathroom, it was just steps away, no problem with that at all.

Kim is fantastic host and appreciate her working with family coming in.

Fabulous place for 3 adults and a kid. Hot tub and garage games were fantastic.

The place was better than we expected. The place clean and was filled with so much amenities (lots of towels for use and pool use, pool table, video games, etc). We didn’t really have to go anywhere to have fun because of all the amenities. Responses were very quick and the owner was so accommodating to our need. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again if we are to have another family reunion in San Diego. The place was worth the price.

Really great space. Woke up to views of the mountains and horses. Jennifer was very communicative and accommodated us with early check in. She even left farm fresh eggs for us in the morning. Definitely recommend.

The house was beautiful and back yard was gorgeous as well. Beautiful views, clean pool and jacuzzi and roomy enough for a cook out after wedding gathering we had , using grill, lounge chairs and large table and chairs, it was comfortable for all. House was perfect for all 7 of us to attend my son’s wedding. Perfect location and host was responsive and helpful on every question I had , including getting us an espresso machine within 12 hours !We all loved it and would highly recommend !

My third stay here (with a fourth already booked!) so that should speak for itself … Only thing to add to my other glowing reviews is that I had the opportunity to chat with Lisa this visit, and she is charming. She is very conscious of never wanting to intrude on guests’ privacy, but is more than happy to chat when you may meet her in the driveway. This has become my absolute fave Airbnb ☺️

Vivian and John‘s cottage was a perfect place for a three day stay. Very peaceful and calm with beautiful surroundings and close to everything I needed to get to. I would love to come back at some point.

Lovely place in the hills, loved the amenities. Pool and playground for our little one. Kris and his daughters were so wonderful. We really enjoyed our time there. Perfect house for a week of relaxation and exploring the area.

Everything was great from first interaction with Jason. When I arrived I called Jason and he gave me a quick overview of the place and amenities. Great location, close to a lot of great restaurants and businesses. Had my dog with me so it was a great property if you have a dog with an enclosed yard. I’ll stay there again when in area.

Such a beautiful place! This is my third stay with Bertha and Kelly. I love the quiet surroundings, the cozy feel of the home, and the yummy oranges. The home is well stocked with tea and coffee, as well as clean linens and towels. They are fast to respond if you need anything. Can’t wait to come back!

Great location and pet friendly! We were traveling with two small dogs and the guest house was perfect for us and our dogs, especially the fenced off area out back.

The pictures do not do this wonderful property justice. The views simply take your breath away. The peace and quiet was exactly what we needed. Our family, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews, all stayed here to attend a wedding nearby. We each traveled from across the country and we could not have felt more at home anywhere else. Our only regret was that we couldn't have stayed longer. I would stay again and again if I could and I highly recommend everybody else do the same.

Went out of a weekend getaway from the desert heat with my girlfriend and our friends. Waking up in the morning to a beautiful view with nice fresh climate was great. The surrounds allow for a relaxing vacation as it’s nice and quiet. As to our host Liliya was amazing. Very responsive, helpful, and friendly! We had an issue and when texted her she replied right away and came to help us. Her response time was perfect her attitude was great! I will recommend this to anyone that wants a nice quiet weekend away. As it has a breathtaking view and the host is lovely!

Gorgeous location with well maintained landscaping. Abundance of wildlife and it was a treat to listen to the birds every morning. The apartment is very functional, well maintained with nice finishing touches. If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you. Rosaura is also a very gracious and helpful host. I highly recommend the place!

Lovely experience. The tent is huge and the Webber and gas fireplace and picnic table were all just right.

My wife and I had a very relaxing time at this luxurious and breathtaking location. It was a beautiful home with a magnificent birds eye view of the enitre valley. The hosts were very kind, responsive, and helpful with any questions. All in all, a memorable experience the we joke about because it must have been some kind of dream. It was a great cabin in the woods! I was surprised with the hot shower, since it was so cold outside. The wood burning stove/fire place was easy to use with real wood available on the property. That was one of the best parts of the stay, along with the large outside fenced in area for our Husky to run free and explore. Another bonus was the beautiful birds we not only enjoyed listening to, but were able to actually watch them. Thanks again Jennifer for sharing your place with us!
