Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Utrechtse Heuvelrug

Very nice cottage. Quietly located with a nice view and tastefully furnished. We cycled a lot in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug but also along the Nederrijn. And visited nice towns like Wijk bij Duurstede and Rhenen.

We had a great vacation with a really nice house. We were also kindly allowed to use the garden. The old house has a charm all its own and is very comfortably furnished. We felt comfortable immediately - not least because of Kater Henk. Sandy and Martijn were easily accessible for us and gave us great tips for exploring the area. Thanks!

We had a great stay in the very nice cottage. There is a very spacious living room with a good kitchen, two bedrooms and another sleeping arrangement in the living room... The house is also good for small children, there is a staircase but it only leads to storage space so you do not need stair safety. There are also some toys, which made us very happy. The garden and the surroundings are especially beautiful, you can take great walks through the forest directly from the house. The only drawback (the landlords also write it in the information brochure that is in the house) is that there are an insane number of ticks in the garden, we were only in the grass for an hour and had to remove two ticks from us - but of course no one can do anything about it.

We had a wonderful stay at Bart and Carole's guest house. They were very warm and welcoming and really happy we were there. They were very reachable if had questions or issues. They even arranged a full cleaning half way through our stay for a fee for the cleaner. The unit was perfect for us, a party of two, for three weeks, a home away from home. It was walkable to shopping, dining, and the grocery store, great location. When we come back to the Netherlands we will be checking on the availability of this wonderful home.

Slept here with my girlfriend for three nights. The communication with Lydia was super, in consultation we could even check in earlier and check out a little later. The cottage was small, but certainly super nice for the two of us. Fully equipped, such as dishwashing supplies, coffee, tea and plenty of crockery. We would definitely recommend this place.

Frank’s cottage is exactly as pictured—cozy, serene, and just a two-minute stroll from the sprawling Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park. Frank’s genuine warmth shines through every interaction from the very first encounter, he’s available if you need anything, and up for a friendly chat that turns ordinary stays into golden moments. The space itself is peaceful and uncluttered, giving you the freedom to unwind fully after a day on your bike or exploring the forest trails. If you find yourself in Driebergen-Rijsenburg, this is a stop you won’t want to miss.

Elise was extremely helpful for us during our stay. She was very responsive to our messages and extremely pleasant to deal with! When I come back to the Netherlands, I plan on trying to stay here again!

The cottage is in a beautiful location, our family had a tons of fun playing in the yard and watching all the animals around.

Absolutely loved our stay in the Canal house! Could not have been more ideal for our family. Location was perfect, so relaxing too sit outside the door and watch the boats, kayaks and ducks float by.

Very nice apartment on a cozy square in the city center of Amersfoort. Within walking distance enough restaurants and cafes and attractions. the space is not large but very conveniently furnished. Good beds and a good shower. Highly recommended

It's one of the best Airbnb's I have stayed in. Mirjam was very sweet and you could tell that it's her passion to make her guests feel welcomed. She went above and beyond our expectations and we would definitely stay here again. Also I cannot not mention the excellent breakfast. It was very filling and thought out. I can't see how you can rate this place anything other that 10/10.

Diederik‘s flat was fantastic for our trip to Utretch. A very quiet neighborhood with lovely old homes and surroundings. Exactly what we needed for our first trip with our little one. The apt is spacious and has all you need. Only downside is the stairs between floors are a bit more tight/narrow/steep than they appear in the photos. So be careful if you have a little one. Otherwise we loved our stay at his place. Its a great getaway.

We loved our time in this artsy, welcoming and charming little spot! Lex and Sylvie were very responsive and helpful, checking in and also leaving some great nibbles in the kitchen (fruit, juice, yogurt, cheese, jam, butter and much more!) They also gave us a heads up about the Utrecht Pride event, which is not to be missed if you can be there for it. The boat parade goes right down the lovely canal right outside the door. We loved walking around the neighborhood, with great restaurants and bakeries. The apartment was the perfect space for our two adults and one teen and we took advantage of sitting out front along the canal every single day. It’s an older building and you can hear the floorboards upstairs but it was never an issue for sleeping because Lex and Sylvie didn’t seem to be night owls. I would love to come back someday!

Very nice stay with very friendly hosts! Also the location is great, close to the center of Barneveld but still completely in the tranquility of the outdoor area. The surroundings are also beautiful, a beautiful area for cycling on the Veluwe.

I can’t say enough good about our stay in Utrecht! We will definitely stay at the same Airbnb when we go back! Justus is a perfect host!

Nanda’s place is very spacious and comfortable, with lovely large windows and all the facilities you would need. The apartment is on the first floor (no lift!) with the hosts’ living area on the ground floor and bedrooms on the second floor. Easy 5 minute walk to buses, just 3 stops to Central Utrecht. Nanda was very welcoming and easy to communicate with. Recommended!

Mandy was such an accomodating host and was very responsive to our communication. We really enjoyed our stay at her quaint abode which was promixal to everything you will need (Grocery, Bars, Restaurants, Bike Hire etc). It was fully equipped for our nearly week long stay and Mandy had really nice recommendations for places we might require. Definitely would recommend staying at Mandy’s and looking forward to staying again when I’m next in town.

We had a wonderful and relaxing time in Reckum – and that's mainly thanks to the great host! We were warmly welcomed at check-in and felt comfortable right away. Our host was consistently likeable, incredibly patient and always helpful. Whether it was tips for the area, small concerns or spontaneous questions – he always had an open ear and a solution ready. His competence and serenity really made our stay special. Thanks to him, we were able to fully enjoy our time in Reckum. We can only highly recommend the accommodation and especially the host – we will be happy to come back!

The apartment is in a great, vibrant neighborhood only minutes from the downtown. It is spacious with plenty of light. Rein is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Lisette’s apartment was perfect for our needs. Everything was as described. Easy access to station, AH, and a quick walk to city centre. Definitely would stay again.

What a wonderful place in the heart of a wonderful city. The apartment is spacious, full of light and the interior is just marvelous. Plus it’s located in Amersfoort best neighborhood, central yet calm and private. Linda is a very kind host, and we felt it upon entering the place.

We were very pleased with our short break at Conny's. She and her husband are extremely friendly, accommodating and really fond of children. Breakfast is really incredibly delicious! We were allowed to use the great garden. I'm sure we'll come back.

The accommodation is not very soundproof, you have to be very careful with the sound, but overall it was worth it for our activity
