Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Upper Normandy

In one word: paradise! In addition to the sense of hospitality and the absolutely extraordinary kindness of Albane and Julien, the quality of the cottage and the park that surrounds it, what struck us the most and that we particularly appreciated is the calm that reigns in this almost timeless place. That being said, enjoying the pool, having lunch in the sun, contemplating the river that flows peacefully, listening to the wind in the trees, snuggling in the cocoon that is this mill once night falls, also delighted us. It's very simple: at the time of writing this review, I hesitate to publish it as the desire to return is so strong and the fear that it will not be available is present.

Ben and Georgie have an amazing place in a great location! I would love to tell you all that we hated it in the hopes to gatekeep it for ourselves, however that would be unfair to Ben and Georgie who were absolutely fantastic hosts. The barn has been brilliantly converted, with four great bedrooms and everything you’d need to enjoy and relax. The outdoor space was the highlight for us. Definitely worth going for the spa facilities, the jacuzzi was great and the sauna was far better than we expected. Thanks again to Ben and Georgie! We’ll definitely be visiting again!

We absolutely loved the house. It was so tastefully decorated and we all felt completely at home. Nicolas and Claire have exquisite taste and their home certainly reflects that.

Warm accommodation simply equipped but all the necessities are there. The bed is extremely comfortable. Special mention for the very pleasant garden. Recommended for travelers who like small cottages with character in a peaceful environment. No connection problems (as mentioned in other comments). There is no 4G but the box works very well.

We had a wonderful weekend to celebrate my 30th birthday with family & friends. The house is beautiful and comfortable, tastefully decorated, the large garden and the many facilities/games allow you to fully enjoy the place, the linens are soft and smell good like at the hotel, and the owners are very responsive, friendly and accommodating. Really nothing to complain about, thanks again for this stay!

Beautiful house in country

This is a super house, it’s has great space, location, pool, hot tub and fireplace, we all enjoyed it especially our children. Leslie was really responsive and very helpful with recommendations. We absolutely loved our holiday here!

My first Airbnb rental, during my first trip to Europe… 🥹 First of all, my host made me so comfortable, from searching for the place I wanted to rent to the last day. They were quick to respond, and left instructions for the house that made everything easy and convenient. And the house? Well Auvers is beautiful on its own, but this home was so enchanting! I felt like I had walked into a storybook. Nothing over the top, just cozy and comfortable and welcoming. And the location was good too.. was able to walk throughout the entire village. I would happily stay here again.

Magali is a warm host with great orderliness and breathtaking facilities on offer. Clean, tidy and ready for easy arrival. The accommodation is equipped to relax, cook and caress the eye with its elegant aesthetic. Perfect address in the heart of the action, where there are many restaurants and cafes, a few steps from the Arc de triomphe. Yet with maximum tranquillity in the courtyard. Thank you very much for this pleasant stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this quiet, peaceful location. It had everything we needed for a one night stay. It was light, bright, and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Hosts welcoming and communicative. Highly recommend.

The accommodation is impeccable, particularly functional and tastefully decorated. More than welcoming host, we had a great time in an idyllic setting. We were surprised to be able to enjoy the pool! I highly recommend this listing!

The accommodation was great, a little cocoon in a green setting. We were close to Paris, close to the tram, close to the metro, everything could be done on foot or by public transport. The apartment was very clean very well arranged. The other was very friendly, very responsive and his instructions were very clear. We even had some recommendations in the apartment for outdoor activities. Anyway, I would recommend it.

Stephane is a caring, helpful and proactive host. The cottage is about 3 blocks from Arromanches center that has great shops and restaurants and the ocean is right there and d-day history in front of you. The cottage is an oasis of tranquility and privacy.

Really peaceful and beautiful place to stay not too far from Paris. Perfect for a couple. The apartment has everything you need for a short stay and the neighbourhood and surroundings are really peaceful and felt very safe. Free parking was a bonus. Only downside is the slightly long walk on the way back from the station after walking around all day in Paris but you could always get a taxi as it isn't too far. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend this place

Very pleasant apartment, comfortable and in a good location. Public parking just across the apartment. No parking problems during this period. Ideal for visiting the beaches and landing sites as it's in the middle of the area. It takes about an hour to get to Ste Mère Eglise and on the other side as much to reach Deauville. Between the two there are a lot of possible visits. Emmanuel is very friendly, welcoming and flexible for check-in and checkout times according to his rental possibilities. We met a lot of really nice people wherever we went, well done Normans! The various museums and sites visited are varied and exciting, even very moving... A week of happiness!

A 2 night stay in this wonderful cabin, tastefully decorated and impeccably clean. Nicolas and François are very friendly and welcoming hosts. They welcomed us at the doors of the cabin and showed us the interior. What a pleasant surprise to discover this peaceful retreat and all the little touches they had prepared for us! They gave us tips on activities to do in the area. François and Nicolas offer a delicious breakfast service, with fresh and local products (extra charge). In summary, a beautiful cabin in a wonderful setting, run by two extremely caring people. This is by far the best Airbnb we've ever done. One thing is certain, we'll be back! ☺️

A real enchantment amongst the trees. The stay is suitable for both children and adults. The hosting is very friendly and everything is done to simplify our daily lives. The team is great.

We had a wonderful stay at Karim's. The cabin is very pleasant, very functional and impeccably clean. It is set in a garden where it is very easy to settle in, quiet. Karim is very welcoming and gave us all the good local spots. I recommend it without so much as a second thought!

We had a great time, quiet and with perfect weather! The chickens spoiled us with their eggs😁. The place is ideally located to visit the must-sees as much as to walk in the Normandy countryside, which is very beautiful. Gwenaelle is friendly and responsive, despite the distance and the chaotic network.
