This beautiful bothy, in The Lake District's Duddon Valley is a wonderful, eco-experience. Come visit Old Oak Tree, and escape the rat-race. With no phone or WiFi signal, light by solar energy, shower and eco loo outside - adding to the charm of this stunning little house, designed with escapism in mind. Everything in 1 room: kitchenette, stove for cooking and warmth. A double sofa bed. This is a fantastic off the grid experience for anybody looking for something completely different.

Relax at this peaceful place to stay in the Western Lake District. There are plenty of lovely walks from the doorstep. The King George pub is only a minute walk away, serving lovely home cooked food and real ale. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, known locally as “La’al Ratty” is only a ten minute walk from the cottage. Eskdale Stores is open daily. The cottage itself has been recently renovated and has a secure garden with lovely views, ideal dogs.

Beautiful, hidden place in a stunning location. Very welcoming and friendly hosts. We felt very comfortable and at home in The Nest. It was a lovely treat to stay there. We would definitely recommend this place. However, if you do visit, remember to bring some cash for Isack's Honesty Box. We hadn't and so sadly we couldn't purchase anything from him.

The cottage was cosy and welcoming, we had a lovely quiet time with 2 very nervous dogs. Clare's instructions were clear and precise, explaining the limitations of WiFi and the nearest Pub! The cottage contained all we needed, very clean and well laid out. With amazing weather and walks outside the door, it was very enjoyable and relaxing, would highly recommend.
