The Stables

Such an amazing cottage! We were skeptical with it not having many reviews, but wow, we are so glad we booked it. It’s pretty central to everywhere (longest drive was 45 mins) and we were able to explore the Lake District for the first time with ease! The cottage is so cute and has been renovated to a really high standard, plus the bed was SO comfy too. We would definitely recommend :)

Mister Hare's Cottage - beautiful Lakeland cottage

LeonRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay at Mr Hares Cottage. The cottage is lovely & was squeaky clean top to bottom. Everything we needed was there for us & a folder on the table also explaining everything we needed to know, included interesting places to visit & local walks. I would definitely stay again, thank you David

Pippa Lodge Cosy 2 bed lodge

Ms Angela FrancesRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Great 2 night stay at Jacks place despite the thunderstorms! Lovely clean, well equipped lodge, I didn’t need half the things I brought with me as it was all there which is unusual for a lodge break. My grandson (aged 3) loved the bubbles, found in the shed and he made good use of the bucket & spades on the beach. Beds are super comfy too…. Overall, lovely 2 night break had by us. I would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing break 👍

Great place, even in the stormy weather. Very peaceful, a place to get away from it all. Small but has everything you need.

Apartment, King or Twin, free Off-street parking

MichaelRating, 5 stars10 months ago
I was looking for a good value for money place to use as a base to go off walking and cycling around Coniston and Grizedale. This fitted the bill for me. Easy to park, couple of pubs within walking distance. Drive to Coniston is about 15 mins but lots of other places in easy reach. Broughton is a very quiet little town but there is butchers/greengrocers and bakery 2 minute walk from apartment so easy to get supplies plus nice to support local businesses.

Wayside Cottage 1637, in the western Lake District

JeffRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Had a fantastic long weekend here with the wife and dog. Location is far enough away to relax in the quiet, but within a reasonable drive of the main spots in the Lake District. Cottage is lovely and the enclosed garden was appreciated by our nervous dog. Emiko was a great host, and we appreciated everything that had been prepared for us. Would definitely look to stay again in the future!
