Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Thurgau

Slim pickings in this area so we were happy to find Mai and Thomas's place near Frauenfeld so we could be near to family we were visiting. All worked quite well and they were helpful in accommodating us six and a baby, including providing a crib. There are two bedroom areas with a queen and a twin in each, so three sleep in each room. Kitchen is small but fairly well-stocked. Dining room is ample with a large table. Single bathroom with barrier-free shower so water gets nearly all over the bathroom when you shower. Bath was well-stocked with soap, shampoo, etc. All in all it was a very good stay. Thanks!

We were a weekend guest at Nicole's. The space is as in the photos and in the description. It exudes a wonderful tranquility and the furniture is very aesthetically arranged. We enjoyed the weekend!

We had a great time staying at Eckharts place. The place was clean, spacious, and flooded with light, in a very peaceful neighbourhood with all stores in walkable distance. There’s a neighbour’s car that comes greeting in the garden every day, which is great. We had some funny scaredy cat moments as sometimes the ceiling was creaking mysteriously…. And at night the bed made mysterious sounds… but nothing too scary 😁 The host is very responsive and helpful. Thanks for having us!

A wonderful house with veranda and seating, located right on the lakeshore with a swing; all around trees, reeds, birds, view of the water, access to the lake. Everything is available in the kitchen and bathroom. Despite the rainy weather, I found the surroundings and the view of the lake extremely attractive, I felt very comfortable in the house and the surroundings. I'd love to come back!

Awesome place to stay! Thought Kreuzlingen is a little removed from Zurich or Lucerne, but the train is enjoyable and this house is worth it. Germany is a short bus ride or walk away, it was fun to experience this part of the country. We ran in to Mario several times walking, he is especially friendly and accommodating.

Thank you for hosting us in your beautiful home. It is very comfortable, decorated with love and great taste. Everything is very clean, and has everything we needed for our week-long stay as a small family. Thank you for your warm welcome, for the fresh eggs from your chicken coop. It's beautiful little sheep, they'll love it. We walked in the village and in the forest around, very nice. At night we came across small deer 🥰 on the road. Thanks Eva and Yves

The location where the cottage is located is really nice! You have a great view of the Säntis and can start hiking directly from the accommodation. The place was as described, only the curtains were a little too translucent for us. We were on site with two dogs and felt very comfortable :-)

Dunja is a very welcoming host, available and remarkably kind!! The accommodation is close to a train station allowing free parking and quick access to Constance, or any other destination Accommodation on the 2nd floor, a living and sleeping room with a pleasant view of Lake Constance. On the landing there is enough to heat dishes but does not allow cooking, which is not disturbing on vacation. The shower is also on the landing, the toilets are separated. We had a pleasant stay!!!!!

SIlvia and René were amazing hosts. We arrived early on an international flight and they were able to check us in early and even picked up my two daughters and me at the train station. It was above and beyond :-) The attic apartment was in a beautiful area in town and we were able to look out over nearby hills, and beautiful neighborhood gardens. We cooked, slept and relaxed well here and there was a nice Coop to shop at just a few minutes walk down the street. We had a great, peaceful stay here. I would absolutely come again next time I'm in this area of Switzerland.

the house was fantastic, beautiful farm house with traditional Swiss decor. the lift was amazing for us with 2 people in wheelchairs, it made things a lot easier.

Monika's apartment is very nice and was extremely clean. You can get to Constance very quickly by bike. Communication with Monika was super relaxed and we were very warmly welcomed. In very warm temperatures, it can of course also get very warm in the city apartment, fly screens would be optimal for ventilation, otherwise everything was great! 😊

She is amazing and really care about everybody

For just the two of us, it was perfect. The little washer/dryer was great, it was a good location for getting around the Zürich area and the price was reasonable. The bed was comfy, the WiFi reasonably fast and the neighborhood was pleasant. The preschool next door might be problematic for some folks, but we enjoyed the sound of children playing.

We felt right at home from the beginning. Fresh linens + towels, so like at home. Without a car there is bad, it is bad because you are there for hiking.

Catia and Lukas are exceptional hosts. I had a hard time believing all the other comments but they are all true✨ The accommodation is of a quality and cleanliness that I have never seen on Airbnb. Everything is thought out in detail, the small touches, the decor, the very comfortable quality bedding, the walk-in closet, etc. We stayed with our 2-year-old twins and were able to enjoy the beautiful days in the garden or on foot in the neighborhood. The planes taking off and the cows were very appreciated 😉 The environment is quiet and peaceful except perhaps for the bell tower just opposite that rings all day... and all night (!!) but that is part of the charm of the place 🤭 Close to Zurich by car with parking available right in front, it's perfect. Thanks again to Catia and Lukas for this warm welcome 😊

Very welcoming family! The accommodation was Superb, very nice decoration everything was extremely clean when I arrived and for my trips since I slept during the day I couldn't find better than that! Very peaceful! In summary it was a great stay! Congratulations to the Spindler Family for your good taste in selecting everything in the apartment and also for the environment you have created around it. ✅🏡

Large apartment that is well furnished with a kitchen, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The neighbourhood is also very quiet - all we could hear were birds chirping. We also appreciated the clear instructions given by Raphael and Dianna. Overall, this is a perfect place to stay if you want to explore the Appenzell region!
