Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Thunder Bay, Unorganized

One of the best places I have stayed! Host was very responsive and the home was amazing! Felt right at home.

Megan was very responsive and so friendly! The place was so inviting, clean and the kitchen was stocked for all of your cooking needs.

It was nice, quite and short stay. Beautiful place and hoss are respectful and responsive. Looks exactly like photos. Would definitely book it once again if I have to.

Crystal is a great host. Her house was everything we were looking for while staying in Thunder Bay. Crystal is very responsive, polite and has done a great job at including a kids bedroom with some toys to play with. Her rental is spacious, in a safe location and offers clean and basic amenities. My business partner and I came to Thunder Bay for work and almost booked the Delta — thank goodness we didn’t! We had an absolutely exceptional stay at Frank and Cherie's Urban Retreat. The home is beautifully renovated with soaring 12-foot ceilings, surround sound, and thoughtful touches throughout such as the building's historic Bertucci Grocery sign hanging in the living room. The kitchen is well-stocked, the keyless entry made check-in effortless, and the Bay Algoma location is perfect — just a short walk to great cafés, restaurants and the marina. Frank and Cherie are super friendly and helpful, and as a fellow Airbnb host, I can confidently say this is one of the best AirBnB properties I’ve seen, and I have taken much inspiration from their beautiful home. Highly recommended for both business and leisure stays!

Feels like home away from home. Danielle anticipated our needs and was a step ahead check in and out. Home was clean, neat and organized and had everything we need for our stay. Brand new deck, yard is huge and easy parking. Close to major roads and highway so getting around is easy. Great hostess!!! Will be back again next visit

Best place I've stayed in a long time! I will be returning. Jamie is lovely and she has put so much care, attention, and detail into this space. Every detail was there, from the cozy bathrobes to the complimentary snacks and yoga area, Jamie's place almost feels better than home.

Great space. Comfy beds, nice seating and a little kitchenette if you want to make food! Appreciated coffee being provided and thee amenities in the bathroom. Quite a nice touch! I will definitely be recommending to others looking for a place in the Hancock/Houghton area!!

Wendy’s Airbnb is in a very convenient location, especially if you’re having to walk at all. Wendy will greet you upon arrival, and I found her to be incredibly friendly and personable-she’s truly great to chat with and was very accommodating throughout my stay. She and her husband reside upstairs which makes for quick and easy communication. Personally I find it valuable when the host is on site as it makes it feel safer, and I’ve had issues at other properties where hosts weren’t present. I’d seen this ad before but hesitated because it’s a basement apartment. Upon checking in, I was pleasantly surprised-it’s much brighter and more welcoming than the ad suggests. The apartment was very clean, the bed is soft and comfortable and coffee pods are provided, which is all I really ask for when staying somewhere.🙂The beautiful little backyard is obviously well-tended, and there’s an area where you can sit out in the sun. This Airbnb feels like a home away from home, and I’d stay again.

Stayed at apartment to xc ski at Swedetown Trails. Apartment has a nice kitchen for preparing and eating meals. Apartment comfortable. Bed comfortable. Shower good. Lorri was very accommodating to my needs during my stay in Calumet.

Robert’s place was the perfect Mother’s Day getaway for my daughter and I. The setting was peaceful and private — just what we needed to unwind. My daughter especially loved the game room and trampoline, while I really appreciated the relaxing hot tub and sauna. The space was well-equipped, and felt like a little retreat from the everyday. Being just a 30-minute drive into town made it convenient without sacrificing the quiet we were looking for. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

I had an amazing experience staying at this Airbnb! From the moment I booked, the host was incredibly responsive and helpful, making the check-in process seamless and stress-free. The property was spotless—clearly well-maintained and cleaned to a high standard. It had everything I needed and more: a fully stocked kitchen, fresh linens, strong Wi-Fi, and thoughtful touches throughout the space. Every amenity was provided to ensure maximum comfort. What really stood out was the level of service. The host went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay—checking in to see if I needed anything and even offered Yoga! This is hands down one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, worry-free stay!

Had a wonderful, albeit too short, stay at the moose condo! It was so nice being right on the lake. Everything in the condo was just as described and I really appreciated that coffee was provided. Scott was also very responsive. I’d stay here again.

This was my first visit to the North Shore (WOW!) and Mikhala's space made it perfect! The view of Lake Superior was stunning and I enjoyed having morning coffee on the walkout patio. The space was very clean and the bed super comfortable. I appreciated the well stocked toilet paper, paper towels, soap, towels, blankets, and pillow options. Tofte was a great central hub for all the hiking trails on my bucket list + Grand Marais was an easy/beautiful drive and I highly recommend eating at the Angry Trout - it was best meal I've had in a very long time! I loved it here so much I extended my stay an extra night. Highly recommend, especially if a solo traveler like me.

A very well designed space for a family of four- nice deck and walk down to the rocks by Lake Superior. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed! We’d definitely reserve again!

Abby and Zach were excellent hosts! She provided thorough information on the check in as well as little things to know about the space. I appreciated the mid-stay "I hope all is going well" communication, and it was aj added bonus to meet them up in the common area while we were there - super nice and helpful folks. Also? This may be one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in while traveling! Thanks again for sharing a fantastic space in a beautiful location with us.

Our family had a very enjoyable stay in Grand Marais. Cassidy’s condo was exactly as described - spacious condo, beautiful views of the lake and harbor, and walkable to everything in the heart of downtown. Our kids really enjoyed the big bunk beds with private lights and outlets in each one, giving them some of their own time and space each evening. We spent a lot of time in the dining area for the gorgeous lake view. Also, having the shower separate from the sink/toilet made for getting ready much easier. The live music/rooftop bar noise is legit, but it’s explicitly stated in the descriptions. So we had sacrificed some peace and quiet for a couple of nights for the great location and views, which was worth it for our first time in Grand Marais. We loved the town, and the buzz from the cycling event that weekend made for an overall fun atmosphere. To add to our stay, we had amazing weather. Thanks for the wonderful stay, Cassidy!

This was a very comfortable, well appointed, very well-kept condo in a quiet building in a great location. Provided were many thoughtful and surprising additions such as hammock chairs, daypacks, flashlights, a bench in the hallway for removing shoes, self-care products, cereals, coffee and condiments. We cooked a lot for ourselves in a very well-stocked kitchen making it a good value. We would definitely return to rent here.
