Treehouse vacation rentals in The Great Lakes

Such a lovely cottage and would say even better than the photos! Great that the river doesn’t have motorised boats and very quiet with just the one cottage further up. A little slippy to get in on the rocks but once you’ve done it once and got a route it is all good! Great communication from Yolanda with detailed instructions. Thank you!

Reiterating the other comments on amazing location, beach access, and views from deck. We had the beach to ourselves most of the time and it made it so much more enjoyable to have kayaks and a paddle board for use. The location made it convenient for our group to come and go as we wanted, without the coordination of driving to the beach. It was a further drive from the most popular tourist attractions on the coast but we thought it was well worth the tradeoff. The lighthouse down the beach is also a great place to visit and one of the few lighthouses we found that weren't under renovation. I would make sure you understand that the majority of beds are twin with a single double bed, in case you come with couples. There was a slight miscommunication from the posting, in that it seems like the hosts would prefer not to use the top bunk beds unless required to for the number of people. Our kids were disappointed but quickly got over it for the beach experience.

Very cozy cabin in a great location! We really enjoyed our stay! The hot tub was very nice! The hosts are very responsive and hospitable!

We had an unforgettable experience during our stay and look forward to returning next year. The island was beautiful, the many different houses accommodated our large group and each family of the 5 that went had their own space to unwind. The kitchen was beautiful and made meal prep and cooking so easy. The kida had lots to do with basketball, board games, mini pool tables, hot tub and the highlight was definitely the swimming. The water was great, warm and clear at any given time during the day and the kids had so much fun jumping off the docks, using the paddle boats and the canoes. We all had such a great time and are so thankful to Marla and Sherri-an employee who helped us when we checked in and checked out- Sherri was a great help, kind, friendly, hospitable and even recommended a different cottage with less steps for next year that I will definitely look into because it was a beautiful experience. Don't think twice about booking your stay here my family and I loved it!

This is our second time here and have already booked our third trip. Really nothing else needs to be said. The property offers everything you need for a great weekend and plenty to do around the area as well!

The cabin was just as described and was just what we needed for a getaway; quiet, private , and peaceful.

While the pictures and descriptions were accurate, the tree house and surroundings are so much more beautiful in person. Inside and out, the surroundings are whimsical. The relaxing sounds of the river, the endless pockets of nostalgia that adorn the walls inside. Erik and Lisaeanne were absolutely lovely and welcoming. We will certainly be booking a return visit. Our only regret was not staying longer.

This experience was incredible. Michael was so kind and responsive and gave wonderful recommendations for things to do nearby. The treehouse was very clean and so cozy. Sitting outside on the porch, listening to the river flow and the birds chirp was so relaxing. If you need a place to escape the noise and relax, I 100% recommend this property.

This place worked super well for our group. We were in town for a wedding and this was an easy gathering place for us all the catch up and get ready for the wedding.

The treehouse is beautiful! Decorated very well, very homey and comfortable too. Nice hot tub and bedding was very nice.

Pictures do not do the treehouses justice. We had a wonderful girls' weekend and every detail was thought out. The finishes in the treehouse were outstanding, my husband is a woodworker and would be proud! Also, every single thing you might need was available from extra toiletries (much appreciated!) to a well-equipped kitchen. Just show up with your clothes and food! We will definitely be back!

We booked last minute and appreciated William making sure we found the place and got settled. The cabin was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the spot is very peaceful. The treehouse cabins is set back from the main house and views the lake through the trees. Being up one flight of stairs and surrounded by windows gave it the treehouse effect. We enjoyed a relaxing weekend!

We really enjoyed our time at this treehouse! The lavender wasn’t quite in full bloom during our stay (end of May), but the views were still very nice and it was very relaxing. We brought our pups with us, and they also enjoyed all the walking paths and nature. (Just make sure to have anti-tick collars/medication for your pups as we did find a couple on our dog even though she stayed in the shorter grass) I also really enjoyed the little shop on the property. The lavender milkshake was so good! The host is very responsive and easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway!

Honestly, everything about our stay was incredible. First and foremost, the host was easy to contact, very kind and gave us a great description of everything we needed. The area is quaint and quiet, literally exactly what we were looking for. The property itself was lovely, from the deck, to the pier, to the treehouse, and the interior was perfect, exactly what we imagined a summer vacation lake house to be. The kitchen has everything you need, along with the bathroom, shed outside and bedrooms. The board games and outdoor activities supplied endless hours of entertainment for our children. This vacation blew our expectations out of the water and we cannot wait to go back next year.

I had a restorative, wonderful stay at Wild Rice Retreat! It was one of the best little trips I have ever taken. The accommodations were fantastic, the meals were exceptionally delicious, the staff were amazing and so helpful and friendly. Cannot wait to visit again!

This was our first time staying in a yurt and Edward's place was a great experience and he was a very responsive host. The place is setup very comfortably and was nice and tidy. Our dog really loved that the creek was right there for a swim.

Guy is a very responsive and helpful host, and it was great to meet him and get some helpful information about the house. We also met Sooty who is adorable! The house is small but had plenty of room for the two of us and the bed was very comfortable. We liked the local area, it's very close to the lake and local amenities. We'd recommend the Stoltzfus Family farm shop which has incredible local produce.

Hernan’s place is absolutely stunning! The calmness of the water and the serenity of being in the woods really makes it a place to really unwind and enjoy the natural surroundings. Hernan provided a lot of local recommendations for restaurants and even conservation areas in the surround areas. Will definitely be back to enjoy this property again! I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Sue and Cy's treehouse was incredibly scenic, comfortable, and relaxing! They were very communicative throughout our entire stay and provided a list of local recommendations. When I accidently locked the keys in the dock shed, they made an impromptu visit to the treehouse to help me retreive it! I highly recommend staying here and am already looking forward to my next visit back!

We stayed here for one night and had the most peaceful time! Will absolutely be staying again this summer!
