Cutest little house! Beautifully furnished, overall very peaceful and relaxing space.

The Oriole feels like you’re sitting in a treehouse on the porch. Lovely! The interior is quaint and clean. Thoughtfully appointed space with a place to hang a few items of clothing and a suitcase rack, but otherwise don’t bring unnecessary luggage because, as described, the space is small. The location is walkable to all restaurants and shops. We enjoyed exploring a bit on the bikes which are great amenities along with the hot tub included in the stay. Would definitely recommend!

I stayed at Melissa's place with a group of 4 other girls for my sister's bachelorette party. Not only was the space perfect sized for our group, but the girls and I could not get over how amazing the property was. We obsessed over the view from the kitchen window, the decor and gingham curtains in the living room, and the loft bedroom. Everything was so well done and thought through and we spent a majority of our time during the weekend hanging out at the house, having dinner on the front porch, and admiring the baby pigs!! And when we did venture into Sutton's Bay or Traverse City, the ride was smooth and had beautiful scenery of up north Michigan. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked and the linens were definitely adequate for all of us to sleep comfortably. I will definitely be booking here again!

Our family thrived at Liz’s cabin! The river was perfect for my younger kids—calm and shallow in most areas, great for first-time kayakers. For more adventure, we tried paddling upstream, which was a fun challenge and a great life lesson in perseverance! Downstream and around the cabin is smooth and peaceful, perfect for kids. I recommend bringing a cooler with simple meal ingredients. I packed sandwich supplies but wished I’d brought more—vodka pasta would be ideal here! I made a quick run into town for spaghetti, but options are limited (as Liz notes in her very helpful guide). We also had dinner at Pokegama Lakeside—great food, a beautiful lake view, and an authentic Native American canoe on display! Liz has created a truly magical place. The natural landscaping, cozy cabin details, and high-quality linens made it so comfortable. Thank you, Liz, for such a special stay!

My husband and I stayed here with our two dogs. We had a lovely time relaxing and enjoying the scenic views, and our pups loved swimming in the pond. I plan to come back in the fall to enjoy the colors!

We were looking for waterfalls and hiking. Phil's place was in the perfect location to find numerous opportunities for both. The cabin itself was well outfitted, comfortable and spacious for the four of us. Loved the hot tub, grill, and fire pit. Phil and Tracy were very responsive and great with communication both before and during our stay. It was cold for a June date and we had an issue with the furnace. Phil and Tracy were so helpful even to the point of coming to check it and getting a repairman there in short order.

Heather’s cottage was amazing! Able to accommodate a group of guests without squishing or being in anyone’s way! A couple little insects wanted to join our weekend but nothing a paper towel and a double wipe with some all purpose cleaner couldn’t beat! After all it is a cottage! Amazing large space (especially that sunroom!) with lots of amenities (the hot tub, chrome cast, indoor speakers and pool were a BIG HIT)! Great for game nights and the sunsets were beautiful. Bunker house was also clean and very comfortable for some of guests to stay in! Overall great experience and our hosts were so nice and easy to talk to. Would recommend this cottage and would definitely book again!

Emily was an excellent host. She was extremely responsive and accommodating. There was a minor issue/mix-up when I first arrived; I reached out to her and she responded almost immediately and had things resolved within a matter of minutes. The cabin has the essentials that you need but it's the outdoor space that's the real gem here. There's so much room to explore and just wander about. You can really have an adventure without even leaving the property. The place was very quiet and peaceful; very rarely did I hear any cars drive by or hear any noise from neighboring cabins. I had my dog with me and she absolutely LOVED it here. We spent most of our time outside but in the evenings and when the weather wasn't as nice, the cabin offered a comfy and cozy space for us to relax. I would definitely visit again.

This is the 5th year we have rented Stefano's cottage. I am hard-pressed to find anything negative to say. The cottage is spectacularly beautiful, inside and out. The architecture is decidedly modern, but clearly fits in the surroundings of trees and the lake. Inside it is very cozy with neutral colours and great for either relaxing with a book and a coffee (or a bottle of wine!), a games night or an outdoor BBQ after a swim, a paddle or a hike. It is superbly quiet and a perfect place to get away from it all, yet keep the creature comforts, grocer a short drive; walking trails nearby, lakes are everywhere and the autumn leaves are nothing short of spectacular. Stefano is very accommodating in terms of providing information or answering questions, if any. We love the place so much I am hesitating to give it such a good review for fear of lots of people discovering it - I want to keep it my own hidden gem. But Stefano deserves an excellent review. Thank you Stefano, as always.

Fantastic place to stop while driving across the country. Terry and Sandy were very kind and responsive hosts. Cabin is located across the road from a beautiful stone beach.

Kara is a wonderful host - very proactive, very thoughtful, and very honest. Her place is exceptionally clean and well organized. She seems to think of everything. The property is beautiful. We saw the beaver swimming in the pond several times. Her place is perfect for a north woods vacation.

This was our third time staying at Hygge house & each time is better than the last. It is such a peaceful and relaxing retreat. I cannot imagine a better little haven tucked away in the woods. Cable is such a hidden gem & the cabin is close enough to town to be accessible, yet far enough to feel private. We can’t speak more highly of our stay(s) and are truly so appreciative each time we get to enjoy this lovely space.

Sam and Mike were great. We were greeted and shown around the cabin. Sam made us a delicious cinnamon loaf of bread. It was a very peaceful location. We will be staying there again. Thank you guys for a wonderful time.

Had such a lovely stay. The space was cozy and calm, exactly what I needed to unwind and get centered before an early sporting event the next morning. Everything was smooth thanks to the hosts’ clear communication and thoughtful setup. It felt welcoming without ever feeling intrusive, which I really appreciated. Would absolutely stay again!

This was such a great find! It was so peaceful in the woods. Having coffee on the porches in the morning was a great way to start the day! Craig was such a communicative host! We really felt like we had all the information we needed well before check-in.

Susan’s place was clean, well-equipped and pristine. It was indeed a beautiful retreat, complete with hot tub and a pool. Communication with her was always pleasant and accommodating. Everything was well thought-out.

Jill And Chef Jeff are A++ hosts. They were very responsive to requests and inquires. Their property is a slices of heaven; quiet, and peaceful. Bird songs to start your day. Chef Jeff's culinary delights had us indulging in his masterpieces the next day. I HIGHLY recommend you working with Chef for 1 nights dinner. Thank you to this fabulous couple.

Pretty and peaceful lake complex. This condo is in a great location within the well maintained complex. Jody and Jana are great hosts, the condo was well stocked and had all the little extras that made it very comfortable for our family.

My family and I loved staying here! The pool was perfect and we used it every single day and the space was ideal for us - my 4 year old especially loved the games (first timer playing Sorry) and PAC Man along with the nature / fire pit (and pool of course). It was very close to downtown Saugatuck and the host was super responsive. Our dog was also very relaxed in this location as it was quiet and peaceful and he is getting older. Thanks for the great stay and we can’t wait to come back’

This property is absolutely beautiful! We had the best time playing tennis and basketball, going in the pool and sauna. The pool is cool which was so nice after getting super hot in the sauna. 10/10 recommend. The inside was beautiful and relaxing, felt like a perfect getaway and we will be back for sure! Tom and Charyl were amazing hosts ! We had open communication throughout our stay and even got a tour upon our arrival. The airbnb was everything as described and more ! The pool was incredible and the airbnb was only a 5 minute drive to the nearest beach. They even had a binder of recommendations available to us of local attractions/things to do. Our expectations were exceeded for this trip, and we can’t wait to come back !
