Lake house vacation rentals in Taupō

Lovely location on the lake. You do get people walking by, on public path in front of the house, but really was not a bother to us. It was never intrusive in any way, instead relaxing to watch from the deck area or tucked away in lounge room. Plenty of room in the house. Very neat and tidy. Well stocked kitchen for utensils. BYO milk, butter, coffee beans but supermarket a just a 7 min drive, so easy to get these items or anything else you may want. There was tea bags and instant coffee, olive oil. We found it to be a very relaxing place with beautiful views/sunsets.

Lovely accommodation with fantastic views. We met Michelle briefly and are thrilled with the hospitality. Thanks for cereals, bacon, eggs, chocolate etc! We really enjoyed the view of the lake and were extremely satisfied! Fresh flowers were everywhere, really very lovingly prepared. The terrace was a dream ! Love, Rebekka and Berni

Lovely stay, at a beautiful place.

We really loved our stay. Duncan was amazing, from perfect communication, very friendly and helpful. The house was exactly as it was advertised. too be honest, better. It's amazing. Location was perfect, walked across the lawn and straight into the lake. Right next door to the marina, so easy to launch the boat. I will 100% be going back.

Rhys home was perfect 👌 beautiful views so spacious and private had all we needed Rhy was also very accommodating offering early check in if needed .. the home is like 2 homes in one great for a big family .. but was perfect for the 2 of us as well highly recommended.. views of the lake were stunning and the lake is only a 1 minute walk

Steve was so lovely from the very first friendly and helpful communication almost 12mths ago, we were travelling internationally for a large world wide championship event and although many others had their accom cancelled at last minute or double booked we had no issues at all and our stay was amazing. The house was lovely, clean and tidy with all amenities required and exactly as described.

really good value, typical kiwi bach from the 1970s. had everything you needed including a very well kitted out kitchen with a full size fridge freezer. the pictures accurately described the place. we loved the Woodburner. our dogs loved playing outside. great for big family trips as loads of space. thanks Jacqui 😀

The Pipi Pad was outstanding in every way. Well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms giving 3 couples plenty of room whilst staying. Tastefully decorated with extremely comfortable beds and gorgeous linen. Heaps on offer to to while staying there, ie books, games, ping pong, bikes and spa pool. Lovely touch by leaving fresh milk for us and allowing us to use things from the pantry and fridge. Jeremy’s communication was fabulous - we had no problem finding the Pipi Pad and getting in was easy. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great place to stay in Taupo.

We just had the most restful 10 days The house has an amazing view of the lake it’s peaceful and is equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. The house is very warm and very modern. It is as advertised. We were only 20 minutes from Taupo so when we wanted a bit more action we were not far away. A great stay. We would definitely stay again.

We loved this place. Great living area for socialising, well equipped kitchen, showers had awesome water pressure, several lovely areas to sit outdoors. Perfect for our family get together with some of us staying onsite and others in the town centre. And later some items we'd left behind were returned to us which we were grateful for.

Such a pretty spot in a great location! We walked down to the lake everyday, and there were plenty of good places to eat and get groceries very close. There was a nice deck out back for relaxing when it was sunny and a huge dining table for dinners or board games. A house with TONS of space. There were 8 of us and we were not cramped at all. 2.5 baths made it an easy place to stay with kids. The house is naturally pretty cold but the host provided heaters and blankets to counteract that so we could be warm.

There are only a handful of places where kids and adults can feel comfortable and at home, and Dan and Toni's home has a welcoming and warm vibe. Since there's ample open space, it's a perfect holiday home for families, especially kids. Also, the amenities Dan and Toni have provided are exceptional. Absolutely recommended. My toddlers were in awe and didn't want to get inside the car on the last day. Dan and Toni were very flexible regarding check-in and check-out and very cooperative.

Such a beautiful stay. Perfect family home away from home. 2 families both with 1yr olds and they loved it. Had everything we needed. Great recommendations for coffee and playgrounds. Anna was always available to message. Loved the cook book selection!!
