Family-friendly vacation rentals in Tamarindo

Thanks to Chris and his helpful team for getting us into his Villa when our previous Airbnb had to be cancelled at the last minute, due to not being what was advertised. Even though he was boarding a flight, Chris and team responded quickly and got us into his place early. Wonderful spot. Great to relax for a family of four when the beach got too hot for our little kids. Would recommend to others wishing to stay in the Tamarindo area looking for a quiet, private place close to the local attractions. Thanks, Chris! Josh and Family

Great location! We had a golf cart to buzz around town which was fun. Pablo was wonderful in helping us check-in (he even came to meet us to help us get checked in and gave us a quick tour) Condo was perfect for the 4 of us and we had a great time!

This condo is in a walkable location but far enough from the center to be quiet and peaceful. The beach is super close and the water was so calm and crazy warm. We had a fantastic stay. A couple things came up during our stay that Sud and the local manager happily addressed right away. 10/10 recommend renting here.

El departamento es muy lindo, estaba impecable, hay que subir muchas gradas pero todo bien. Lo que si tal vez no me gustó mucho es que el guarda es un poco confianzudo y no genera confianza, me acompañó hasta la puerta y no me gustó que casi quisiera ver el código de la puerta y tuve que indicarle que por favor me diera cierto espacio. Por todo lo demás, encantados.

My young family of five (children ages 10, 8, & 5) just spent 11 wonderful nights in Casa Pelicano. If you are looking for a peaceful & tranquil family holiday this is the spot! From morning swims & pool side coffee getting greeted by the local birds, ezpz fast access beautiful beach days, to adventures, Casa Pelicano has it all! Hazel & Kim were excellent & welcoming hosts. The care for their Casa and responsiveness to our inquires kept our holiday in pure paradise! This was my families first time vacationing in an international Airbnb. Hazel was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction for groceries & transportation. The guide book in the Casa is also helpful with local fyi's & tours. There are 3 restaurants within a 8min walk. From the beach, about 35mins north (this is a children's beach play walk) there are more restaurants, Surf Dog has family friendly service. 25mins beach walk south is the water taxi to Tamarindo with many more restaurants & shops. Pura Vida!

This house is situated on a fantastic, uncrowded beach. It stretches on for long beach walks, the sand is soft, the waves are perfect for boogie boarding, and the water temperature is warm. Each day of our stay we boogied boarded for hours with maybe 15 other people in sight. In the evening there are beautiful sunsets. The outdoor space of the house is great for cooling off in the small pool or relaxing in the hammock. The house is located in a gated community inhabited by tourists, so in order to experience authentic Costa Rican restaurants or culture one must drive to a neighboring town about 15 minutes away. The house itself is as described but be aware no amenities (shampoo) are provided with the exception of small soap discs. The beach itself made our stay wonderful.

Overall great stay got to see a ton of wildlife live like monkeys, lizards,bats and birds. I understand location on Airbnb is an estimate so it should the beach closer walking distance than it was. Very buggy if u do like insect be cautious. But great area for food and surfing.

Beautiful Condo. Amazing 5th floor view from the patio and master bedroom. Large living/dining room and the kitchen is fully equipped. Both bedrooms are large with lots of closet space. Great to have access to a washer/dryer. Huge pool and the condo is right across the street from a resort with beach access. Very close to plenty of restaurants. Convenience near by. We did have difficulty utilizing the safe as the key/lock seemed worn out.

Wow! La maison est magnifique! Super bien décorée et équipée de tout ce qu’il vous faut. Le petit quartier est super joli avec la piscine dont nous avons beaucoup profiter. La localisation est bonne un petit 10 min de marche de la plage. Je recommande vraiment ce logement. Merci pour ce beau séjour :)

Location, location, location!!! The condo was in the best location! We were able to walk to the beach, shops, grocery store, and restaurants. Loved the VIBE of Tamarindo.

Lovely home near one of the best beaches in the country! We were very comfortable during our 6 day stay, with 5 adults moving around, and felt very safe. Hosts were extremely kind and communicative, answering any questions we had about activities or eating recommendations. We loved sitting outside by the pool every morning and listening to the howler monkeys and watching the iguanas. Best trip we've taken and the memories we made we will cherish forever!

We loved our stay here! We had a private parking spot and it’s about a 5-10 minute drive into town. The AC worked great and the kitchen had basic items to assist with cooking. The washer and dryer worked great. They provide beach towels and chair to borrow which was super appreciated! The view of the balcony was beautiful and they even had some games and puzzles to play. There are two pools are the property which were great to use!

We really enjoyed our stay. Having access to the beach club was a big bonus. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, paricularily Mario, Maria and Freddy.

We had a fantastic time! Nice location close to the pool and beaches while still having lots of privacy. The condo had plenty of room for all 6 of us. We would recommend this place to anyone looking to spend time in Tamarindo.

We loved it here! Within walking distance to the beach, shops and food. It was also great coming back and hanging by the pool. Mandy and Toh were friendly and communication was smooth.

Wonderful place in Tamarindo… it is walkable to town….. but I would recommend renting a golf cart. Such a unique place….. we loved all of the different spaces to hang out, either together of if you need some alone time. Great communication with the host, beautiful decor…… all in all a wonderful place

5 Stars – Unforgettable Beachside Retreat! We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this beautiful home in Palm Beach Estates! Dirk was an exceptional host—always quick to respond and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. The house is just steps from the beach, making it easy to enjoy the ocean anytime. We especially loved the outdoor grill area—it was perfect for cooking up the fresh red snapper we got from the local fish truck. So delicious! The pool was a major highlight for our family. The colorful lights at night made it feel magical, and we spent many evenings playing Marco Polo with our girls—such great memories. The property was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The neighborhood felt safe and peaceful, with great access to local spots and the beach just around the corner. We can’t wait to come back and highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a memorable beach getaway!

This was a fantastic spot! Very spacious, clean and had a lovely pool. A short walk to the beach and a quick walk or drive to excellent restaurants. It was so nice to wake up and listen to the beautiful birds singing. Joshua was an excellent host, very helpful and responsive! Thanks again for a beautiful stay!

This was just what we were looking for - Peace and quiet with a beautiful view. The condo had everything we needed and more. One of the best stocked places we've stayed in with plenty of towels, paper supplies, kitchen supplies - everything except washclothes! Bring a few if you use them like we do. Furniture and beds were comfortable. Loved having our own private pool. Definitely recommend!

Ambos son súper simpáticos y atendieron nuestras necesidades, nos ayudaron a ubicarnos y encontrar el lugar. El lugar es muy bonito y tranquilos para poder relajarse de la ajetreada vida en la ciudad, las playas son preciosas. Definitivamente volveremos a ir ❤️

The condo is exactly as advertised in the pictures and description! You are literally minutes from dozens of restaurants, shopping, and of course the beach/ocean! The owner and local host (Christina) were both extremely responsive and gave great recommendations for everything Tamarindo and other local areas. It was also very nice having a place that was somehow quiet/peaceful at night, yet so close to everything!

We had a phenomenal stay here! We had a private balcony, large airbnb and access to all the amenities (tennis, pickle ball, pool, ice plunge). We were a less than 5 minute walk to the beach and local restaurants. There was no noise and the AC was amazing. Will definitely be staying here again

Great Airbnb experience, all around. Alvin is a fantastic host -- almost like a concierge. He's super responsive and set us up with great ground transportation -- which took us to some beautiful waterfalls on the way from Arenal and also took us grocery shopping. The property is beautiful and quiet. Quite good snorkeling. Highly recommended.
