We really enjoyed staying at Heida’s place. Its location is convenient for day trips and close to the city. The whole house was very comfortable and they had many kid friendly amenities (toys, high chair, crib, trampoline playground across the street, walking path) for our children which was essential to make our family trip enjoyable. Would stay here again! Thanks again to the hosts :)

The home was a terrific base for my family to see Iceland. It was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed to relax and spend time together as a family. Sigríður provided great suggestions about places to visit, local shops, and even helped us secure reservations for dinner on New Year's Eve. It was a home away from home

Due to a pilot strike our flights were canceled so we never had the chance to visit. That said, the host was very helpful and communication was great throughout the process.

Very spacious home in a wonderful neighborhood surrounded by picturesque views! Only 20 mins from Reykjavik. Host was super helpful keeping in contact throughout our stay.

This was a magical experience for my family. We felt like we were secluded in the most beautiful surroundings on the edge of the world. Audir and Omar are incredibly kind and welcoming hosts and their home is beautiful. Our kids enjoyed jumping on the trampoline and meeting the neighbors’ dog. We all felt so lucky to be able to stay in such a lovely, homey space.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home was beautiful and comfortable and in an absolutely stunning location— possibly the most scenic place we’ve ever stayed at! Waking up and seeing the lake reflecting the sky like a mirror directly from bed was so perfect that it was hard to get up and start the day. In the evenings we enjoyed the hot tub— cold or raining, it didn’t matter. It was very nourishing in the incredible solitude of the place. We enjoyed the relative isolation. The eyes will tell you you’re far from everything but it’s really only about 30-45m from any restaurants/services. However the house was well equipped for making meals on-site— we did so for breakfasts every morning. The espresso machine was a bit of a bugger but eventually we got it to turn out nice coffees. Jorunn was very responsive— This is a wonderful home to stay at it if you really need or value an environment with immense solitude!

So glad we found this place for our short stay in Iceland. The home is new, clean, and well equipped. It is in a good location near Reykjavik, with amazing views, good proximity to the city, but still feels fairly private. Very attentive and informative owners. And we got to use the hot tub! This place has everything you will need.

We enjoyed our visit in Jóhans' home very much! He helped us with every question we had, he was very responsive, and me and my family felt welcome in his house. The space is really good, a quiet area with playgrounds nearby for the kids. The kitchen offered everything we needed, within 15 minutes we could be in the City Center and a 24/7 supermarket was close by. So all in all we had a home for the week of our visit! Thanks for that.😊

Wonderful place to stay! This house provided all of the amenities we needed for our family of six of various ages. We had a fantastic trip together to Iceland and the hosts were friendly, helpful and responsive to our questions.

Hrafn's home was a great place to stay for our first visit to Iceland. Centrally located in Reykjavik, just minutes from the downtown area.

We had a fantastic stay at this property! The house boasts a stunning modern design with lots of natural light, and it's located in a peaceful yet convenient area. The garden and pool were highlights, providing a perfect space to relax and unwind. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to cook meals, and there was plenty of space for everyone to feel comfortable. Our host, Sigridur, was incredibly helpful and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed for a great stay. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

It's our third trip to Iceland and this is our favourite Airbnb so far. The surroundings is beautiful and quiet. The house itself is wonderful, comfortable and very clean. The hosts have really put in a lot of thought and effort to ensure that we have a great experience and want for nothing. Highly recommended!

We travel to Iceland often and this is now at the top of our favorites list. The history and authenticity of the home is super interesting and very fun, but the upgrades and amenities make sure that you have no loss of creature comforts. The low ceilinged sleeping arrangements were challenging for two vertically gifted people, but we considered the contortions required to be our flexibility workouts for the week. We love to be west of center city and this location is just far enough from the hub-bub to be convenient and peaceful. If you want to get out of the city, the included car is great for grabbing supplies or visiting farther flung activities. Margret was super helpful and had very fast communication, a great host experience. This will be a highly recommended location for anyone, without small children or elders, that asks me for suggestions.

We absolutely loved every second of our stay at Eugenias beautiful home. From the gorgeous exterior to the perfect layout to the sauna/hottub/cold plunge with the babbling stream running alongside. Magical! The setting was incredibly stunning and was truly one of our favorite views in all of Western Iceland. Close enough to Reykjavik while still feeling a world away. How lucky we felt to call it home each day we returned from exploring. Traveling as a family of five with three young children (9, 7, 6) we were also grateful for the lovely amenities (legos!) that made our time at home extra enjoyable for the kids. Enjoying a coffee each morning with the incredible views of the snow capped mountains was such a treat as was a night of Northern Lights! We've traveled to many Airbnbs across the world and Eugenia tops the list as the most helpful, kind, thoughtful host we've encountered. Being able to stay in her home felt so authentically Iceland and made for the most memorable trip!

This house is amazing… it stood out among 3 airbnbs we used this trip… comfortable, well stocked (foosball, great kitchen amenities, quality towels linens and beds) and in an exquisite location on a small cliff with great panoramic views of far-off snow capped mountains. Hosts were responsive when we tripped the circuit breaker and helped us quickly get power back. I have literally zero complaints and so many things i lived about this house!!! Many thanks to these gracious hosts!

This beautiful home exceeded our expectations! Halldor communicated/responded very quickly any time we had a question. The kitchen is state of the art gourmet, all furniture and beds were extremely comfortable and great quality. Very well appointed, modern home with smart features for room darkening for peaceful sleep. Grocery store and the city were convenient. Quiet, upscale neighborhood. We hope to return to Iceland and would want to stay here again. It was perfect for our family.

This house was perfect for our family and our vacation! Everybody got their own space. It was very clean, the kitchen had everything we needed and the outside scenery/space was amazing. The house is located in a place that made it easy to get to everything east or west since it’s in the middle. And the quick responses from Elmar and Julia were very much appreciated. When we come back to Iceland this will be the first place we try to reserve.

The house was extremely cozy and comfortable. The sauna is definitely a plus! The hot tub had an issue and Hannes immediately offered us an extra night for free. He was very responsive and friendly. The gaming room is way more fun than it looks at first glance, and the price is totally worth it for what it offers.

Gigja was extremely welcoming and helpful in showing us around the house and giving us local recommendations. Her house is an amazing place for kids! We had 3 kids under 5 who loved the trampoline, the 2 enclosed outdoor spaces and playhouse, and the toys and spacious interior. The place is immaculately clean and full of beautiful plants! There is a walking path that goes right by the house and runs along a stream and goes to 2 parks that we frequented. All things in Reykjavik were under 10 minutes by car. We highly recommend this house and the hosts.

My family of seven had a great stay at Lilja's house during the National Day and summer solstice week June 16-26. Comfortable beds, attractive living area. Beautiful views of the ocean. Quiet, pretty neighborhood convenient to driving downtown and for day trips. Private yard. Everything new and clean. Friendly reception when we arrived and given a tour of the house. Good blackout shades for the midnight sun. One important note, three of the beds were advertised as "queen" but they were actually "double" for what we are used to in America. We supplemented with two foam mattresses on the floor. Also, the house is not suitable for those having trouble with stairs--my 85-year-old mother found this challenging. We enjoyed the Blue Lagoon, Perlan (The Pearl) museum, the food walking tour of Reykjavik from (Wake up Reykjavik with Thor), a Golden Circle tour that including snowmobiling on a glacier (Arctic Adventures with Palmi). We also did our own day trips in a rental van. Blue Diamond (sights around KEF airport) including views of lava cliffs, geysers, lava tunnel, and quaint fishing villages with lighthouses. Southern route included ferry ride to Westmann Islands for Volcano/Puffin tour (Eyja tours with Eddi), visit to black sand beach with amazing rock formations, and a walk behind a major waterfall. Also the west Iceland peninsula had amazing sights. I would definitely recommend this home to others. It is optimal for a couple and five single people, but doable for seven with the foam mattresses on the floor.

Maison très confortable, bien équipée et située dans un endroit paisible. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La vue est superbe, le jacuzzi très agréable. Les pièces sont spacieuses et la maison dispose de tous les équipements envisageables.

Arnar’s home is outstanding, we were a family of 3 staying however there was plenty of room for another 4 more people to stay if needed. The living space was nice to relax and look out over the Mountain View’s and the sheep would come by in the morning. It is completely private with its out private drive, a car is needed but everything is close by. We were lucky to see the Northern lights from the home. The pool table was loved by our son and my personal favourite was the hot tub and the electric massage chair. The home is so well located for the Golden circle with most attractions within 30 mins and the secret Lagoon 5 mins away. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing home with us.

Great house in a beautiful environment. Clean and spacious with great rooms. The location is very good in the south of Iceland. Wonderful stay all together and Helga answered all of my questions quickly. Highly recommend
